Chapter 19

After 6 years:
The phone rangs in Kapoor Villa. A lady picks up the phone.
L: Hello.
Person from other side: Hello. Is this Mrs. Mayuri Kapoor Mittal?
Mayuri: Yes. Speaking.
P: Hello mam. i am Sharma speaking from the Rathore publications. Maam as u know  your latest novel Kya haadsa kya haqeeqat has broken all the records of selling so Rathore sir has throwed  a party in your honour after a press confrence tomorrow.
Mayuri: Thank u so much Mr. Sharma. But u know  i don't like attending parties. Waise thanks for calling. I will try to make it this time.
Sharma: ok mam.
Mayuri: Ok Mr. Sharma.
She puts the receiver down.
Mayuri gets up from there and enters into a room and locks the door from inside. She sits on the sofa and picks up the pic of Pratham kept there.
Mayuri: Look Pratham. Where i am today? After u leaved me alone i never thought i will be able  to come this far.  But look today people are so much interested in our story that it becomes the bestseller. People love our story Pratham and more than that they love u. They don't beleive that there can be a person who can sacrifice his life to save the person he loved. Becuas e they don;t know our real story and treats my novel as a story.But i know that it is true. And apart from that i am greatful to u for giving me two reasons to live . One is our story and the other.. is Bhoomi. Our daughter. You know Pratham. She is just like u. Her eyes, her smile all are exactly like your's . Tumhare jaane ke baad ek wohi to hai jisne mujhe jeene ka maksad diya .You know,after one week it's her 5 th birhtday. And i have promised her to take her to Grand Prix racing. Like u , she is also very crazy for racing. U know she misses u very much. Abhi to woh chotti hai, isliye main use samjha leti hoon , lekin jab woh badi hogi to pata nahi main use kaise samjhaungi. Lekin mujhe pata hai  ki mujhe is baare mein chinta karne ki koi jaroorat nahi hai, kyunki tum mere paas ho.Hai na.
At the same time, she heard some voices and puts the pic down on it's place, rubs off her tears and came out of the room. As she comes out , she found Bhoomi(Bhoomi juniour aka Chinki jaiswal of kyunki) running in the room here and there along with Tulsi, , Yash and Sneha running behind her to catch her.
Tulsi:Arre ruk ja ladki. Gir jaayegi.
Bhoomi keeps on running and hides behind Mayuri. She picks her up in her lap and sits on the sofa.
Mayuri: So how's your result?
Bhoomi: It's good .
Sneha: u know Mayuri. Bhoomi has scored 95%.
Mayuri: Really. Than come here.
She pulls Bhoomi closer to her and kisses her on both cheeks.
Mayuri: Well done baby. Mumma is so proud of u.
Bhoomi: I love u mumma.
Mayuri: Mumma loves u too baby. Accha ab ye batao is baar summer vacation mein kahan jaana hain?
Bhoomi: Kahin nahi.
Tulsi: Kahin nahi. Arre ise kya ho gaya?
Sneha: Arre abhi to keh rahi thi ki grandprix ki race dekhne jaayegi.
Bhoomi(making a cute face): Woh to mumma mujhe birthday se ek din pehle milengi.
Yash: Smart girl. Yani abhi ise kuch aur chahiye. Right Bhoomi.
Bhoomi nodes her head in affirmative.
Yash: look what i have told?
Everyone starts laughing.
Bhoomi: Mumma. Aap mujhse ek promise karo. Ki main jo bhi magungi woh aap mujhe dogi.
Mayuri: Ok that's a promise. What do u want?
Bhoomi: Mumma. I want to meet papa.
Everyone become tensed and shocked at the same time.
Bhoomi: U know mumma.Result ke din sabke papa unke saath aate hain. Sirf mere papa hi nahi aate.
Everone was answerless to Bhoomi 's complaints as she was not wrong.
Bhoomi: promsie me mumma. Is birthday par aap mujhe papa se milwayengi.
Mayuri was unable to say something. Bhoomi's cute and childish talks were hurting her heart.
Tulsi: Look Bhoomi. U know na papa bahut door hain. Woh abhi aapse milne nahi aa sakte.
Bhoomi: Mujhe nahi pata. Aap log mujhe papa se milne nahi dete. Phone par baat bhi nahi karne dete. Mere ek friend ke papa bahut door rehte hain lekin hamesha usse milne aate hain aur phone par bhi baat karte hain. Lekin mere papa mujhse milne nahi aate aur phone par baat bhi nahi karte. Kya woh un se bhi door kisi jagah par hain.
Sneha: Look Bhoomi.
Bhoomi gets off Mayuri's lap and enters into the room while crying.
Bhoomi: Main aap logon se baat nahi karungi. Aap sab log gande aur jhoote hoon. Mujhe papa se milne nahi dete.Aur apna promise bhi poora nahi karte.
Mayuri tried to stop her but she stands up in front of Pratham's pic and starts complaining.
Bhoomi: Aap kahan ho papa? Mamma aur nani bahut gande hain. Woh mujhe aapse milne nahi dete. Baat bhi nahi karne dete.
Mayuri's eyes starts shedding after watching her like that.
Bhoomi: Waise aapko meri yaad nahi aati. Aap bhi gande ho. Main aapse bhi baat nahi karungi.
Saying this, she goes into her room whereas Sneha follows her. Mayuri comes near Pratham's pic , holds i in her hand and starts crying.
Mayuri: I am sorry Pratham. Bhoomi ki taraf se main tumse maafi mangti hoon. Use to ye bhi nahi pata ki tum jahan gaye ho, wahan se aana bahut mushkil hai
Tulsi puts her hand on Mayuri's shoulder.
Tulsi: Please apne aap ko sambhalo Mayuri.Bhoomi to bacchi hai par tum to samajhdar ho.
Mayuri: Bhoomi ab bacchi nahi hai mom. Woh dheere dheere badi ho rahi hai. Duniya ke saare maa baap apne bacchon ko bada aur samajhdar hota hua dekhkar khush hote hain lekin meri kismat dekhiye. Main to apni beti ko badta hua dekhkar khush bhi nahi ho sakti kyunki uske sawaalo ka mere paas koi jawaab nahi hain.
Tulsi tries to console her.
Tulsi: Don't worry beta. Agar bhagwan ne humein is mushkil mein dala hai to woh hi humein is musibat se nikalega
Mayuri looks at her and smiles through her painful eyes.

Meanwhile , Sneha was talking to Bhoomi.
Sneha: Ye aapne accha nahi kiya Bhoomi. Aapne mumma ko rula diya.
Bhoomi: To phir woh mujhe papa se milne kyun nahi deti?
Sneha: Mumma ne aapse kabhi jhooth bola hai Bhoomi? Agar woh keh rahin hai ki papa sach much door hai to woh sahi keh raheiin hongi na. Aur aapko lagta hai ki aapke papa aapse itna door reh sakte hain. Aap sach much bahut gandi ho Bhoomi.Aapne mumma ko rulaya. Mumma aapse kitna pyaar karti hai. Aaj tak aapne jo bhi kaha mumma ne kiya aur aapne aaj mumma ka dil dukhaya.
Bhoomi too starts crying after hearing that.
Bhoomi: Maasi, mujhe mumma ko sorry kehna hai.
Sneha: Ok that's like a good girl. Accha ab rona band karo aur mumma ko sorry kaho.
Bhoomi wipes off her tears and reached in the hall where Mayuri was sitting upset.
Bhoomi: Mumma.
Mayuri looks at her.
Bhoomi(with tears in her eyes): I am sorry mumma.main bahut gandi hoon na.
Mayuri becomes too emotional and picks her up in her lap.
Mayuri: Why are u saying this? U r the best daughter in the whole world.
Bhoomi: Nahi mumma. Main bahut gandi hoon. Maine aapko rulaya.
Mayuri hugs her tightly and tears began to flow from her eyes.
Mayuri: Nahi beta. Mumma aapki wajah se upset nahi hai. Mumma ke work mein kuch problems aa gayin thi. Isliye mumma upset thi.
Bhoomi: Promise ?
Mayuri(smiling): Pakka promise.
Bhoomi: I love u mumma.
Mayuri: Mumma loves u too baby.
Tulsi who was watching all this becomes emotioanl and leaves from there.
