"See....I'm going to have to start from the beginning. I was very little when my father told me that I was engaged to be married to Sharad Malhotra. He was my friend from childhood, and I truly had no problem with marrying him. He was smart, handsome, and just perfect in ever y way. We were finally engaged at the age of 20, and I knew I was locked in to marry him, and no one else. That's when it happened. The minute I walked in to the Westin Hotel and saw Arun standing there in a corner, looking so vulnerable and un happy, I knew it happened. I did something I wasn't allowed to do. Fall in love."
"Then what happened Rushvi? Go on..." Divya prods.
"Then....we started meeting a few more times and I felt someone so unreal, that I'd never felt with anyone before. When he proposed to me....I....I couldn't say no, and then my dad got a heart attack and so I went to him. And on...Divya," she starts crying. "On his deathbed, he made me promise as his dying wish to marry Sharad, and so I accepted it."
"Oh Rushvi, come here." Divya takes Rushvi into a comforting hug.
"Divya, I really love Arun, but I don't know what to do about Sharad?" Rushvi cries.
"Rushvi, do you really love Arun?" Divya asks.
"With all my heart, I've never loved someone more..." Rushvi answers.
"Then why couldn't you just tell me?" Arun gets up from where he was hidden in the sofa.
"Tum...you...heard everything Arun?" Rushvi suddenly stands up and stares.
"Good thing I did hear it all, you wouldn't have ever told me any other way would you have?" Arun asks.
"Probably not...but Arun, now...what do I do about Sharad?" Rushvi asks.
"As far as I know, he doesn't exist for me!" Arun answers.
Rushvi smiles slowly, right at that moment, her cell phone rings.
Her smile fades and is replaced by a deep frown.
"WHAT? HOW? Where is he? I'll be right there!" She cries into the phone.
