Chapter 31

 

 

After sometime ………arjun freshen's up and comes out for breakfast….he looks outside to see whether the rain has stopped pouring……..but no it was pouring incessantly………..

 

 

He goes toward breakfast table and finds chintu sitting over there………by now chintu has befriended arjun ………….since arjun comes every night for dinner………infact they get along very well……

 

 

C: DIDI!!BREAKFAST!!!BHUK LAGI HAI!!!JALDI

 

 

Arjun and chintu laugh at each other and arjun starts shoutin:

 

 

A: JALDI!!JALDI!!DIDI JALDI

 

 

Bhumi is surprised when he calls him didi……Bhumi brings the breakfast ……..placing them on the table………both still shouting

 

 

B: OHO……..nashta tayar hai khalo…….par chilana band karo (places her hands on her ears to close them)

 

 

A: (smiles) chal chintu shuru ho jaa

 

C: yes bhiyya

 

B: (looks annoyingly at arjun..) Arjun tum bhi naa……….bacho ke saath bache ban gaye ho

 

A: (eating the breakfast) arrey bahvri hum sab ko thode der ke liye bache ban jaana chahiye(winking an eye to chintu) kyun chintu……….

 

B: (smiles) achcha !!(sits down for breakfast)

 

 

After the breakfast arjun gets on playing with chintu indoors since its raining incessantly…

 

Bhumi looks at arjun playing with arjun and goes in do other random chores…..

 

 

Bhumi is in the kitchen preparing food……

 

Arjun and chintu become tired and decide to rest for a while and chintu retires to his room while arjun enters the kitchen………

 

 

He comes in the kitchen door and stops…………..he sees bhumi preparing food……….sees her face mudded with flour(aata) ……her hair tied up……….

 

 

She's wearing an apron…..he keeps looking at her lovely….(smiling) …..

 

 

When bhumi moves here and there to take things her anklets(payal) makes sweet sounds……which arjun likes a lot and looks down to see her anklets………then he looks back at her again……..

 

 

Bhumi is unaware of all this as she has her back to him………

 

 

Arjun gets a wicked smile on his face and goes ahead and nears bhumi w/o making any sounds of his footsteps………….

 

 

He slowly goes behind her ears and shouts in her ears

 

 

A: WHOOOO!!

 

 

Bhumi is startled and she drops the utensils she was holding in her hands…….

 

 

Arjun laughs seeing this………and bhumi is a bit irritated……….

 

B: tum!!

 

A: tumhe kya laga(still laughing)kaun hai???

 

 

B: arjun not fair……..main kaam kar rahi thi naa(picks up the utensils from the floor)

 

 

A: par kuch bhi kaho bhavri………..tum kafi darpok ho……(taking an apple)

 

 

Not liking his words and

 

 

B: (narrowing her eyes ) main darpok hoon……(snatching the apple )

 

 

A: hmm aree apple to do……

 

 

Bhumi is annoyed at this………..and she leaves the kitchen

 

 

B: achcha to ab tum hi khana banao………….(putting the apron down)

 

 

Arjun sees this and stops her from leaving the kitchen……….he holds her from waist ………puts his arms around her waist and:

 

 

A: arrey bhavri!!Main to bas mazak kar raha tha

 

 

Bhumi doesn't say anything……..but still angry

 

 

A: achcha bhavri………mujhe maaf kardo……..ab kya main tumhare saath ek chota sa mazak bhi nahi kar sakta………

 

 

Bhumi looks back with anger still in her eye………

 

 

A: ab gussa chod bhi do na bhavri……….achcha (taking her back in to the kitchen) main tumhara haath batata hoon……I'll help you in cooking……..(taking another apron and wrapping around himself) bolo aaj kya bana rahi ho……(bhumi is looking silently….)

 

 

Saying he accidently touches a hot vessel………

 

 

A: OOUUUUCH!!!

 

 

Bhumi rushes to him immediately ……..and takes the finger he just kept on hot vessel in her hands………and looks at it and takes him to tap and shows the finger in tap….

 

 

A: arre bhavri………sambhal ke

 

 

B: arjun itna bhi nahi jala hai……..sirf zara si lagi hai……

 

 

B: aur tum kitchen main kaaam karoge……….is tarah????????(tauntingly)

 

 

A: (smiling and looking down) haan…….(looks up at her) tum ho na mera khayal rakhne ke liye na bhavri……..phir kis baat ka darr huh?.........

 

 

B: main aaj hoon………..hamesha thodi na rahoongi……….tumhare saath(her voice stern)

 

 

A: to hamesha raho na meree saath bhavri……….

 

 

Bhumi looks up stunned…… arjun is looking down……..

 

 

B: main……..woh

 

 

A: hmm……kya hua

 

 

B: nahin kuch nahin (smiles)

 

 

A: chalo……..khana banate hain……..

 

 

B: arjun par tumhara haath……..

 

 

A: its alright bhavri……….

 

 

B: achcha to theek hai………to yeh pyaaz(onions) cut karo………

 

 

A: aate hi onion……….yaani ki rona….bhavri aur kuch nahi hai?

 

 

B: nahi (cutting some other vegetables).....yahi hai(smiles)

 

 

Arjun starts cutting onions and within no time his eyes are filled with tears……

 

Bhumi looks at this and laughs

 

 

A: haso……..haso bhavri (wiping his eyes)

 

 

B: main kya karoon arjun……..

 

 

A: pehle to main tumhaari madat kar raha hoon………aur tum mera mazak uda rahi ho……..not fair…..not fair at all(a bit annoyed)

 

 

Bhumi comes near him and wipes off the tears from his eyes lovely……arjun looks at him and keeps looking at her………bhumi notices this and tries to go away…..but arjun puts his arms around her waist……..and brings her close……

 

 

B: (a bit embarrassed) Arjun!!!! Yeh kya kar rahe ho!! Koi aa gaya to

 

 

A:bhavri is ghar main hum dono ke alawa aur koi nahi hai

 

 

B: chintu……

 

 

A: who to bachcha hain bhavri ……use kya pata……(smiling naughtily)

 

 

Unties her hair ………..and her hairs fall dowm……….

 

 

A: bhavri………u look very good like this….

 

B: (confused) like this?? Like what?

 

A: (touching her cheeks) ye aata tumhare  muh pe…iss tarah kaam karte huye.......hairs fallin down....

 

 

B: achcha mazak uda rahe…..muh pe aata ke saath koi achcha lagta hai bhala

 

 

A: hmm……tum lagti ho naa

 

 

Bhumi feels very shy….and she smiles

 

 

Suddenly arjun nears her……..goes close to her……..but she turns her face…smiling……….arjun smiles ……..

 

 

B: (whispers) arjun………pleaseee

 

 

Arjun looks at her……..he is a bit disappointed but doesn't show it………just smiles and releases her………and gets back to his work and bhumi too……..

 

During lunch……

 

 

C: (smelling) arrey waah!! Aaj to khane main kya khusboo aa rahi hai……

 

 

A: (sitting on the table) arrey chintu…aaj khana aapke arjun bhaiyya ne banaya hai

 

 

C: such didi(looking at bhumi)

 

 

B: (smiling) haaan

 

 

A: arrey usse kyun pooch rahe ho tumhe meri baton par vishwas nahi hai……..zara chak kar to dekho ………….kaisi bani hai………….

 

 

C: YUMMMYYYYYY!!(making the expreeion) WOW arjun bhaiyya aap to khana bahut achcha banate hain……………

 

 

A: Thank you!!thank you……….

 

 

All are having lunch when suddenly chintu interrupts suddenly………

 

 

C:  didi kal priya bua ka phone aaya tha……….unhone aapko advance main birthday wish kiya hai………who kal aapka birthday hai naa……..

 

 

Arjun looks surprised…………..

 

 

B: priya ne phone kiya tha ……kab

 

 

C: who aap bahar thi………kal subha

 

 

B: achcha!!!

 

 

Arjun thinks to himself:

 

 

A: hmmmm to iska matlab……kal bhavri ka birthday hai………

 

 

He thinks something and then joins in the chatter………
