PART 50

Aaliya was really tensed. She did not know what she was going to do.

She was thinking hard and a few minutes later she fell asleep.

 

Next morning:

 

Aaliya was up and so was Aamir.

He was ready to leave any minute. All his things were packed.

 

Aaliya did not know where he got them all, he was empty handed

when he came, but this was not important. Aaliya was yet to decide.

 

A few minutes later,

 

" Aaliya we'll leave from here and go straight down into

the next street, and over there to the right there is an empty

 barn in which we can stay for a few days and then we'll be

 off from there. We'll leave around an hour from now."

 

An hour, this hour was really difficult for Aaliya. She had no idea

what she was going to do.

It was only when Aamir spoke that Aaliya came back to her senses.

 

" Lets leave Aaliya, its time."

 

Aamir began to throw his stuff out of the window, as they could

not use the front door.

 

In a feeble voice Aaliya said,

 

" I'm not coming Aamir."

 

" Of course you are." He said.

 

"No Aamir I am not."

 

Aamir laughed. Of all the times when Aaliya had made Aamir laugh,

she felt proud, but now it was different.

 

" You mean you are not going to stay here in a country that

 you hate, live a life that you hate. You are the one who told

 me that you would give anything to get away from here,

and now you tell me that you won't come."

 

" I feel at home here Aamir," she said, " I have people who care,

and now due to my absence, my parents have been called, and

they are coming and," Aaliya started to cry,

" They were worried

about me. When I came back from Arihant, I promised myself that

if any day my parents showed that they loved me, I would do nothing

that would be going against them."

 

Aaliya was cry really bad now.

Aamir came forward and stood in front of her, like he did in Arihant

before he kissed her, and said, " Its ok, I can understand. But I can't

 stay here and put you in danger as well."

Aamir threw the rest of his stuff out the window. As he climbed out he said,

 

" Maybe we'll see each other on a shore of some ocean. See you later

my sand princess."

 

" Wait Aamir." Aaliya said.

 

She ran to him, she reached out to his hand opened it and kept the

moonstone he had given her in his palm and closed it.

 

" You gave me this in Arihant, it belongs to the sand princess,

 and the sand princess leaves nothing of hers with others.

She will come to collect it."

 

Aamir smiled and before Aaliya moved a muscle he was nowhere in sight.

 

Aaliya sat down crying really hard, she took out her stamp collection,

and on the last page she drew a picture of Aamir,

and on top of it she wrote, ' THE ONE I LOVE.'

 

With this she stepped out of the room to take on whatever comes her way.
