Chapter 44

PART 43

 

Aaliya had reached her office.  Her mood was as good as it had been

the night before and nothing could change it, and nothing did so far.

 

The day went on, and the conditions of her working place remained

the same, no improvement what so ever.

 

But this time Aaliya had a lot of help from Nahira and Nithin. Though

they could practically do nothing, the soft and kind words they

spoke really helped Aaliya overcome the storm of tension inside her.

 

At the end of the day, a little progress was made, but it was not

enough to rest in peace.

Aaliya spoke out for herself, and reminded everyone that she

was the boss around, and only after that the situations came

 under control.

 

Aaliya was dead to the world when she returned home.

 

She stepped inside the house; found it the same way she had left it.

 

She started towards her room, got changed and headed towards

 Aamir's to find out what he was doing.

 

She opened the door to his room, after several knocks, and

found it empty.

 

" He has not come back yet." Aaliya said to herself as she

headed towards the kitchen to prepare dinner. " It is quite late, he

 should have been here by now."

 

Aaliya shoved away these thoughts, by reminding herself that Aamir

could take care of himself, and he would be home soon.

 

Aaliya had just finished making dinner, when she heard footsteps

coming towards the inside of the house.

 

She was setting the table for dinner, she turned back, and the sight

made her drop the glass plate that she was holding.

 

" Aamir? Is that really you?" Aaliya's voice gave way.

 

" What on earth happened?  Why are you so dirty and

how did you get hurt?"

 

Aamir had a black eye, blood was oozing out from his hand, and he

was in a bad state.

 

" Nothing really." Aamir said through his swollen mouth. " Just had an

accident."

 

" Yeah sure, an accident that gave you a black eye. Aamir lie

to yourself but not to me. Go to your room now, I'll be there

and don't you fall asleep without eating anything."

 

Seeing no reaction from Aamir, Aaliya found her anger increasing.

 

" Go." She screamed and Aamir did exactly as she said.

 

A few minutes later Aamir was well bandaged and was sleepy

with his stomach full.

 

Aaliya fed him more than he could take, but he had no other option.

 

Aaliya too was sleeping as she had done her best in helping Aamir.
