DINNER TIME: KASHISH'S HOUSE:
Every1 (Angad, Kripa, Sujal, Pia, Alek, Adi) was seated on the dining table & waiting 4 the other 2 start eating as none of them wanted 2 b the ginni pigs 4 Kashish's cooking skills. All of them knew abt Kashihs's ability as a cook. Kashish was bringing in a varity of dishes while evey1 was seated & looking at each other.
Kripa takes the initative & removes the covers 2 see that mnone of the dishes looked burned.
K: that's a progress…
AL: meaning???
K: none of the items r burned… meaning the food with b 2 spicy or 2 salty…
AD: best of luck every1. Who will start eating 1st?
S: I will do the honours…
Sujal takes in some bits of everything & is abt 2 start eating when Pia holds his hand & stops him. Sujal frowns at her.
P: don't u want 2 pray 2 god b4 starting 2 eat…
S: no… u see u have not cooked it that I will need praying…
Sujal takes in 1 bite & each head is turned 2wards him & is waitng 4 a reaction from him. Sujal gives no reaction.
Kashish comes in & sits down on the chair next 2 Sujal. She sees that no1 has started eating excepot 4 Sujal.
KA: what r u guys waiting 4 some1 2 come & feed u that u have not started eating???
S: eat up guys the food is delicious.
Listing 2 Sujal every1 takes in the dishes prepared by Kashish. They eat slowly & r surprised 2 find that the food is actually fabulous & very tasty… every1 pig outs after the initial reluctance & even takes out 2 servings of each dish…
After the dinner every1 leaves thanking Kashish 4 a gr8 dinner & asking her when was she going 2 cook again?
Sujal was the last 2 leave. When he was at the gate Kashish went 2 him & kissed him on his cheeks leaving him in a trance.
KA: that was 4 helping me cook & making this dinner a success.
FLASHBACK:
Sujal pulls Kashish out of the kitchen. Kashish just hugs him tightly & starts crying.
KA: y am I so bad at cooking Sujal. I cant even make tea without burning it…
S: (carsing her back in order 2 cool her down) its not so Kashish. U just need 2 practice. U will make a gr8 cook.
KA: no I cant cook. Just look at Kripa… she is smaller than me & cooks like a real chef & I cant even boil water…
S: don't worry u will learn…
KA: no I will never learn. What will happen 2day… I have invited every1 4 dinner & everything got burned… every1 will laugh at me now… what will I do???
Sujal separates from Kashish & takes her face in his pams & makes her face him.
S: look nothing has gone worng… v will go 2 the market & get everything v need & then I will help u cook. Everything will b ready b4 time…
KA: but how can I cook… it will burn up again…
S: no it will not… I will help u cook…
KA: Sujal, u know 2 cook….
S: a bit… I can make tea without burning it…
This bring a smile 2 Kashish's face.
S: now b a good girl… go & change & then v will go 2 the market.
KA: thank u Sujal.
Kashish changes & then both of them head 2 the market.
Sujal gets all the required ingredients. Kashish is surprised that Sujal knows so much abt household things which she doesn't know… like bargaining, knowing which fruit or vegetable is good or bad…
They head back & Sujal helps Kashish cook by telling her the measurements 4 cooking… the time by which she has 2 switch off the gas & etc… etc…
By 2hrs everything is cooked perfectly.
S: so now that everything is perfect I will take ur leave…
KA: thank u Sujal. Without ur help… this would have not been possible.
S: I will accept ur thanks if u don't tell any1 that I helped u… u see I don't want any1 2 know that I cant cook… I have a reput 2 protect.
KA: ok I will not tell any1 but u have 2 help me learn cook…
S: ok.
Sujal left leaving Kashish all in smiles.
KA: u will make a wonderful husband 4 any girl Sujal.
FLASHBACK ENDS
Kashish leaves b4 Sujal could reply. Sujal was still in his dream world whena voice brings him back 2 the real world…
V: so u cooked 4 her??
Sujal looks at the new person & looks embarrassed.
S: no… I didn't cook 4 her… I just helped her 2 cook… (the other person was not satisfied by this ans & is lloking at him sternly) believe me Angad… I didn't cook… just guided her….
A: I knew it… no wonder the taste sounded familiar…
S: but I r not leaking it out….
A: & y is that??
S: I don't want any1 2 know that I can cook & …
A: …& Kashish cant… I will keep it in mind. Come on lets go. I don't intend 2 spend the night outside…
