Chapter 2

" are you sure about this?" alliyah asked mee... a day before the prom night...

" yea i am...(sigh) you liked my dress right... you can have it..." i walked upto the closet and took out her prom dress.... " there ya go..." i handed it to her with a very heavy heart...

" but you have waited since middle school for the prom... its once in a lifetime thing!" alliyah said handing teh dress abck to kripa...

" yea and so is teh showdown!" kripa threw her hand in teh air... " i cannot jeopardize my relation with angad... cuz of some stupid dance i have waited all my year... (sigh) i really really really like him!" kripa said softly...

" aw kripa..." alliyah gave her a side hug and rubbed her arm... " its okk... BUT i will have to see this 'Lazy Daze' and this angad khanna of yours... then i will tell you if its worth..." she said... " oh and zach's hrowing a party...after prom party... around 11... you think you can make it?" she aske.d..

" i dont know... but will try..." i said dreamily..." thankss alli..." i hugged her back... okk now this is whats called true friendship... the last week has been weird... and hectic for mee... liza my so called best friend askd me about nothing but angad... and welll she just didn't care abotu me... then my other so called friends were acting teh same... except for alliyah... she was a new student and she was a good friend and now i realized she is my ONLY friend...

" how about you come with mee to teh club to hear them play...? and you can also meet angad there..." i said...

" sure..." alliyah said excited... " kk meet you in teh evening..."

" okay..." i smiled as alliyah walked ot teh door... " hey alli..."

" hmmm..." she turned around...

" the dress??" i said... showing her teh prm dress..

" are you sure?" she said...

" uh-huh/... it'll look better on you then me..." i smiled...

" thankss hun..." she took teh dres... and turned to me...

" how about... i come here tomorrow... we get ready together... i'll help you get ready for teh big day and you help me with mne... what say?" she said wiggling her eye brow up and down... i giggled and nodded.... " okk... will pick you up at 7 be ready!"

" OMG! he IS HOT!!!" alliyah yelled over teh music... i laughed... " OH THIS IS SO WORTH IT..!!" alliyah said... as she watched teh 'Lazy Daze' perform... but her eyes would land up on the guitar player..." who's that?" she asked...

" thats brody... he is taken alliyah!" i laughed...

"a re you sure...?" she asked mee

" uh-huh... "i turned her to her side and showed her jenni..." thats jenni... his girlfriend..."

" hmm...what about that electric guitar player... ?" she asked...." he looks hot too..."

" ALLI! remember youa lready have a boyfriend!" i laughed...

" sooo?" she said...

i justshook my head... this was alliyah afteralll... a boy craze....

" hey..." angad peckd my lips... and wrapped his hand around me...

" hi..." i said... and looked at alliyah... who was looking at us with a raised eyebrow... " angad... this is alliyah...and alliyah this is anagd..."

" hey..." they both said in unison and shook their hands... then started their talk and well alliya's interview...

" oh yea... he's totally worth it..." alliyah said as we helped eachother with teh makeup...

here is teh day... my long awaited senior prom... and i wasn't going... and as i had said alliyah looked much more better than me in the dress...

" okk now today is teh last chance kripa..." alliyah said... " you can still go to teh dance if you want to..."

" naah... i am better with angad... in teh showdown..." i smiled at her...

after we both were ready we tood infront of teh mirror staring at eachother dreamily... we leaned our head together... " i wish you could come..." she said...

" me tooo..." i answered... without a word... tears spilled out of our eyes and we hugged eachother...

yes she was a new student but in like 8th garde...and since then we've been together...she's always been The best person in my life... and well i didn't knwo why we cried but we just did... then we wiped out eyes lightly without messing teh makeup... and then we smiled at eachoterh when we heard a horn... " your rides here..." i said... and we walked down where my momw as ready with teh camera...

" okk girls... stand by teh stairs..." she said we posed for teh camera and she took a picture...adn so on she took many pictures... then one with me and alliyah kissing either cheek's of josh... alliyah's boyfriend... she took couple of pictures... then we heard another car...

" and theres my ride..." i said...

me and alliyah kissed eachother's cheek adn whispered...

" tell mee everythign about teh prom..." i whispered...

" and you tell me everythign about the showdown..." we seperated and walked our ways...

i watched alliyah and josh go... then i sat in teh car with teh girls... " the guyss went toether...soo thought why dont we girls go together as welll..." jenni said... " hop in..."

" okk soo this was soooo worth it... everyoen were soo good...but i think 'Lazy Daze' was THE best... nothing could beat them... they all rocked teh night... after finishing teh third song... everyone started chanting... 'Lazy Daze'!!!

when they started the last song... jenni took my hand a draggde me to the stage... and then whispered... " we always dance while teh guyss sing at teh last piece..."

oh god, oh god, oh god... i got a stage fright... everyoen slowly started dancing to the rhythm... i looked around at everyone...and then at angad... je looked at mee with soo much ope... ic ouldn't help myself... slowly i started dancing as welll... adn everyoen went wild as we girls danced along our boyfriends and teh guyss just continued their song...

i had never...EVER in my life felt so... so... lively... after teh song was over... we all bowed... and as soon as we were back stage... i hugged angad tightly... " YOU WERE AWESOMEEEEEE!!!!!" i screamed...

" so were you..." he laughed...

we all sat at the the corner as other bands played...there were thre more bands and then the winners would be announced... we were just talking...

" hey brody... i thought kimi's coming too... where is she?" angad asked...

" dont you remember... today's teh senior prom..." brody shrugged..." she told me at teh last moment she cant come..." he saind sipping his coke...

" sh*t the prom night!" angad slapped his forehead... i was amused... " i am soooo sorry kripa..."

" sorry?.." i asked confused...

" i know people... specially girls... wait for teh prom night forever and its like a dream to go there... i am so sorry you ahd to miss it for mee..." angad said apologetically...

i smiled... " its okk... and thsi all was so worth it..." i said caressing his cheek... " and plus i heard you say you hated high school adn highschoolers and prm night sucks..." i said lowering my eyes...

" i said that cuz... my high schoo years ssucked... and then all the high schoolers..." he said...

" yea... all his friends ditchd him at teh last moment when he got into trouble..." brody said..." i was the only person to support him then..."

" and his girlfriend humiliated him in the prom night... whichw as supposed to be the best day of his life..." jenni added...

" aw i am sorry..." i hugged him... " but its already over i guess..." i looked at teh time... 10:20

" oh i wish we could get tehre now..." angad said... nuzzling her neck... kripa giggled...

" well there is an after prom party at zach's place..." kripa said rolling her tongue in her mouth...

" what time..." everyone asked in unison...adn looked at their watch...

" 11:00" i said softly...

" dude you guyss can make it... if you can go now...!" brody siad... he tossed angad his bike keys... " you can go on my bike..."

" but what about teh..." i started but befor ei could say anything angad was dragging me out of teh club...

" its been about me me and me...now its abot you!" he pressed his lips to mine... and got onto teh bike... i slung my legs over teh bike... and we zooomed off...

we took three different routes... two different turns and finally after 11:25... we reached there... i went inside holding angad's hand... we both were realy tired... especially him... after the whole drumming... and we both were dying to know what the results were...

alliyah saw us and waved at us...we went to her... " OMG you made it here!!!" alliyah screamed adn hugged me while angad and josh looked at us in great amusement... angad and josh became fast friends...

everyoen was enjoying... i walked outside and was dialing numbers whe n i felt angad's arm wrap around my waist... his neck pressed to my neck... he kissed it... i isghed in pleasure... " what are you oding here?"

" calling jenni..." i answered... not being able to concentrate on the dialing anymore... i turneda orund adn wrapped my arms around him...

" y..." he said bringing his lips close to mine... but not touching it... just hovering over it... torturing me...

" cuz i wanted to know what teh results were... dont you?" i said trying to touch my lips with him but he moved his head back everytije i tried... HE WAS KILLING ME!... i had already become breathlesss....

" welll..." he took the phone from my hand and turned it off... " i dont... and as for tehr esults i am 100% sure we won... adn if not... no worries... we have already signed a contract with the best company in town..." he said...

i hadn't listened half the things he said... i fisted my hands in his hair and jerked his head forward making our lips bump... ' you're killing me..." i whispered... his lips twitched into a smirk... and he very lightly touched his lips to mine... i pressed it harder and then we both kissed... oblivious to the party going inside... we were just outside... kissing crazily under teh moonlit... everythign that happened today was soo much better than going to teh prom night!
