Rehan entered his apartment in a much tensed mood. He had no money as of now and didn't know how he would give-in to Mr. D'Souza by Monday. He just lied down on the couch, trying to calm himself in hope of finding a solution to his problem and thinking of the same, he dozed off.

 

It was 11 'o' clock in the morning and Rehan's phone was constantly ringing. It was the 13^th time that he was able to catch up with it.

 

Rehan: Hello!!!

 

Caller: Hello my foot!!! Mr. Rehan Garewall do you even realize what the time is??? You were supposed to be on the sets by 7. It's already 11 and there's no sign of yours. Can you explain??

 

Rehan: I'm really sorry Sir. (To himself) Ufffffffffff………..mai utha kyun nahi????

 

Caller: (Shouting) Do you think you've left any scope for sorry??? Ms. Singhania and the rest of the unit is waiting for the past 4 hours for you to come so that we may begin.

 

Rehan: Sir I know it's my fault, please Sir!!! Just one chance!!! I'll be there any moment. I'm really sorry Sir!!!

 

Caller: There's no need to come. It's good that your dedication towards us is out within two days. Thank you so much, we have loads of dedicated persons waiting for this role. You're fired!!!

 

Rehan: Hello!!! Sir meri baat to…………..hello!!!!

 

Before he could explain, the person disconnected the call. He was Mr. Shyamlal Sinha, one of the members of the creative team. As he disconnected the call, Ananya came there running as she overheard him.

 

Ananya: Mr. Sinha!!

 

Mr. Sinha: Yes ma'am.

 

Ananya: Aap kis se baat kar rahe the? Kise fire kiya hai aapne?

 

Mr. Sinha: Us newcomer Rehan Garewall ko ma'am. Dekha nahi aapne vo aaj poore 4 ghantey late hai. Shaayad us se bhi zyaada………

 

Mr. Sinha didn't realize that Tanya was standing right behind him.

 

Tanya: Amazing job Mr. Sinha!!! What a fantastic new rule!!! Aaj se jo hi set pe late hoga use ek bhi chance diye bina nikal diya jayega!!! Chaahe jo bhi majboori ho. Thanks for the idea Mr. Sinha!!!

 

Ananya: Tanya!! Ye kya kiya tumne??

 

Tanya: Kya kiya maine??

 

Ananya: Arrey is rule ke mutabik to hume Mr. Sinha ko bhi nikal dena chahiye, kyunki agar inhe yaad ho to ye bhi pichley ek hafte se ek ghanta late aa rahe hain.

 

Mr. Sinha: (In a shaking voice) Par madam maine to aapse permission li thi naa.

 

Tanya: Ya right!!! Permission ek din ki li thi, ek hafte ki nahi!!! Remember???

 

Ananya: So Mr. Sinha, kya karein??

 

Mr. Sinha: (Shocked and confused) Ma'am please!!!! Aap kahein to mai call karke unse apologize kar leta hun par meri job……..

 

Just then Rehan enters the set running…….

 

Rehan: (To the whole unit) I'm extremely sorry!!!!

Tanya, Ananya and Mr. Sinha turned to find him standing there. Mr. Sinha stepped foreward.

 

Mr. Sinha: Koi baat nahi Mr. Garewall, ho jata hai!!! That's ok. Come on, let's start.

 

Rehan: (Surprised) Call aap he ne kiya tha na Mr. Sinha??

 

Tanya giggled at this expression of Rehan and Ananya too was busy trying to control her laughter.

 

Mr. Sinha: You go to the make-up room and change.

 

Tanya: Mr. Sinha par rule ka kya hoga??

 

Just then Sandhya came there with her paraphernalia and was about to leave the set.

 

Sandhya: Exactly!!! Rules he to nahi follow hote yahan par……Ms. Sethi do you even realize that this is height of unprofessionalism??? 4 hours for you might just be 4 hours but for me, time values……..I needed to report to other sets too. You're not the only one I'm working for and you very well know that!! (Stepping foreward to Rehan) And you!! If you don't mend your ways, life will lead you nowhere, got that??

 

Rehan: Ek minute Ms. Singhania!!!

 

Sandhya turned from the door.

 

Rehan: Aap aaj ki date me bahut badi star hain. Car me aana, car me jaana, aas-paas 6, 7 assistants ka ghoomna, tantrums throw karna, unit par apni command rakhna ye sab aapke liye aam baatein hain. Life ki basic problems, for you, begin and end with clothes not being designed and shot not being ready!!! But for me, it's the other way round. Kabhi agar zameen par pair rakho, to ek baar zindagi ki asli tasveer zarur dekhna.

 

Rehan just turned to his make-up room saying this and Tanya came-up to Sandhya.

 

Tanya: Sorry for your time being wasted. I won't force you. The decision to continue or leave is entirely yours.

 

Sandhya saw Rehan going towards his make-up room and then turned to Tanya.

 

Sandhya: I'll continue. Get the shot ready fast.
