Chapter 6
It was the day when Maan's family was returning back to London as they had been in India for almost a month due to his sister's vacations but now they needed to be back leaving only Dadimaa with him.
Maan had always been close to his Dadimaa. When his Dadaji died, Maan was the one who volunteered to come India to live with her as it was impossible for the whole family to move back due to the KC branch in London and also it would have affected the education of his siblings.
Maan was a brilliant student and had just completed his schooling. He was looking for a good university for his higher studies so it was a decision best-suited for the whole family.
Everyone got what they wanted. Maan got admission in the best college in Delhi, Dadimaa got a company due to his presence in the house, his father could continue to take care of London branch whereas his siblings could continue their education as it was.
Maan had been a doting grandson. Always there whenever his grandmother needs him. He went with her on every appointment with doctor, checked again and again daily if she had taken the medicines on time or not. Never let her go for any business trips alone.
He would accompany her in important meetings which helped him learn a lot about the business world as well as gave emotional support to Dadimaa.
He had been very protective about her. Never missing any detail related to her. It was like that if anything was related to her, it has to be known by Maan.
When Maan was asked to join a company out of Delhi to get an experience and knowledge about business, he was very upset. But as the tradition needed to be followed, he chose Mumbai for the purpose as people in Delhi knew about him and it would have been an obstacle in his learning the way he wanted to.
It was an opportunity to sharpen his skills as an architect and to prove himself that he is now capable of taking the responsibilities of KC on his shoulders. This would also help him learn how a company functions.
He knew there are many drawbacks related to getting the highest position in the company from the start, and this experience would help him rectify most of such problems if not all.
He chose a small company as it would provide him with the maximum knowledge about the basics. It had a limited amount of employees and so he could interact and know about many other important things easily.
It was like his insight into the corporate world. It helped him to know the different departments needed in a firm and their functions. Which departments are crucial for the development and how can it be achieved.
But the most important of all he got to learn something he never thought about during taking up this challenge of life. He got to learn about the most beautiful feeling of the world ' LOVE!!!
