Chapter 4

He was leaning on the headboard of his bed staring at the laptop, lost in his thoughts. It was open at a mail from her, her last mail, which forced him to think about his failures in finding her.

FLASHBACK

The day he received her mail, he became really restless knowing that her work was her passion. She loved to work so she never took leaves even when not feeling well.

It was like she can't survive without work and her not coming office meant that something seriously important must have cropped up forcing her to take a leave and that too so suddenly.

He somehow waited for 2 days but when she didn't return, he started getting worried for her. He tried calling her mobile but there was no response.

He asked the HR department about any correspondence from her but only came to know about an indefinite-leave application which she handed over to the guard before going somewhere. He managed to find her HP residence contact number but got no response from there too.

Maan wanted to tell her about his real identity as this was his last week at the office and after that he would have to leave for Delhi taking the responsibility of the whole KC on himself.

He didn't want to loose her contact after going from Mumbai so tried to contact her through her mobile, her residence number and her mail the whole week again and again but failed in every attempt.

He wanted to inform her personally about his life knowing her curious nature. He knew as soon as he will tell her the truth, she will bombard him with a row of queries without even letting him to complete his explanation. He wanted to watch her facial expressions that time.

He didn't knew why he wanted so, why her thoughts about him were so important, why her reaction was the one that he wanted to know so eagerly but the only thing he could come to think of that time was that she was one of his closest friends and therefore, it was all very important to him.

He waited for her 5 days more before telling the truth to Adi as he wanted to share this moment with both of them but on finding no other option, he told Adi alone about himself shocking him to the core who was unable to believe that he had been working and been friends with THE MAAN SINGH KHURANA' The heir of Khurana Constructions and soon to be the MD!!!

It took Adi whole day to be back to normal. And if that shock wasn't enough for him, Maan asked him to join KC causing him to almost faint at the proposal.

His mind was trying to figure out how Geet would have looked like at that moment, what would have been her reaction and most importantly her facial expressions, Maan could never get bored of watching her make different faces, she could depict every single emotion through her face so cutely that angels too would come to Earth to witness it!

Lost in his Geet he unknowingly drifted to sleep, dreaming about her. It was the only place where he could have her and also his only escape from cruel reality, the land of his dreams, HIS GEET!!!
