he reluctantly opened the door and her eyes widened in surprise....He was her date!!! She could not believe that. Even he could not take his eyes off her. Finally he asked

"Ek baat bata, main to pehle hi tujhpe mar mita hoon ab aaj kiski jaan lene ka irada hai?"

"Shut-up, Will you? Lekin tu yahan kya kar raha hai?"

"Maine socha fresher's Ball ke liye tujhe ek date ki zaroorat to hogi hi aur mujhse achha date tujhe kahan milega....After all personality hi aisi hai Huda ki"

"Tu kabhi nahin sudhrega na Huda....Ab seriously bata"

"To theek hai seriously hi sun le...Kal maine tujhe jab phone kiya tha to Dr. Shalini ne uthaya tha. Unhone hi bataya ki tu hospital mein hai to main aa gaya tere paas"

Naina smiled at that. "So sweet"

"Chal ander aa"

"Main ander nahin aa raha, tu bahar aa...Party mein nahin jaaana hai kya"

 

Naina locked the door and they left for the party.As they entered the party hall all the eyes were fixed at them.If boys could not take their eyes off Naina, the girls were enchanted to see her dashing date. They even scored a perfect 10 on 10.

 

Naina and Huda were the centre of attraction throughout the party. They danced together.............Huda flirted with some of the female cadets and when he crowned the Miss. Fresher, she almost fainted. Naina had a really good time with him. She was enjoing herself when Huda asked her out for a drive. She could not refuse and they went out for a late night drive on the deserted roads of Amabla.

 

Huda sounded a bit low. He was driving for past around half an hour....quietly!!!! He didn't speak even a single word.

"Kya hua tujhe?"

"Mujhe kya hua hai?"

"To tu itna low kyun sound kar raha hai.Abhi thodi der pehle tak to achche mood mein tha."

"Aisa kuch nahin hai yaar.Bas woh itne dinon baad Academy aaya hoon na.........Purane din yaad aa gaye"

"I know. Hamare academy days... that experience was just something else. Kitna kuch badal gaya tha hamari zindagi mein, academy join karne ke baad."

"Haan. Meri to Zindagi hi badal di thi is academy ne....aur tune!!"

His voice was rather sad when he said this.She knew he still love her. But there was nothing she could do for him. He was not the only person who was left heart broken. She had also suffered the same pain. Huda realized that he had started the topic he himself didn't want to talk about. So he tried to change the topic.

"Waise academy mein ab bhi pehle ki tarah tau ki discipline chalti hai ya itne waqt mein kuch badla bhi hai"

"Academy mein kuch bhi badalne se raha. Sab kuch waise ka waise hai.Wohi roz-roz ki Left-Right-Left, wohi Major- General Chandok ki discipline, wohi cadets ki sharartein, wohi punishments aur wohi boring Khana....kuch bhi nahin......" Naina suddenly stopped. She didn't even finish her sentence. She looked absorbed. Something just flashed in her mind as she was speaking that had halted her flow.

"Naina......NAINA!!"

"Haan" her thought was broken. She looked rather confused and there was some sort of apprehension in her eyes.

"Kya hua?"

"Ahhh....woh ....Kuch nahin" saying this she turned her face and closed her eyes.It took her few seconds to calm down and regain her normal self.

"Huda mere sar mein dard ho raha hai.Please drop me to the academy"

"Theek hai" Huda could see that something was bothering her but he could not figure out what happend to her suddenly.

 

Finally they reached academy.Before getting down from the car Naina asked him "Waise tu Ambala kitne dinon ke liye aaya hai"

"Ek hafte ke liye"

"Okay. Then I'll see you tomorrow.Bye"

"Bye" And Huda left.

 

A doubt had cropped up in Naina's mind and she needed to know if she was right.But how?

 

She knew who exactly she had heard that night.
