he found herself standing face to face with the terrorist. He had his gun pointed towards her. She was standing at the point blank range and he pulled the trigger................. But it just clicked. She wasn't shot. He had exhausted his bullets. Naina kicked him hard and he fell down but he got up quickly and hit Naina on her temple with the gun he was still holding. That blow was severe. She could not stand that and fell down on the ground with a loud scream.

"Nainaaaa......"

Someone called out her name. She heard that. But she was loosing her senses. She was not able to hear that voice properly but she knew it was familiar.She saw a man standing at a little distance. She could not see him properly because of darkness and her loosing consciousness. She could only see a hazy figure standing there. She could hear some sounds but could not comprehend them.

She opened her eyes. The place looked familiar. She tried to get up but could not. Her head was hurting badly.

"How are you feeling Naina" That voice was so warm.

"Dr. Shalini....aap." She realized she was in Army Hospital." Ma'am main yahan kaise aayi"

"Pata nahin. Two men brought you here last night and asked the receptionist to inform at KMA.But hua kya tha? How did you get hurt?"

"Ma'am woh main...... woh log.................must be robberers ma'am" She tried to avoid the topic making an excuse.

"You shoud be more careful Naina"

"Ma'am main academy kab tak jaa sakti hoon."

"Don't worry about that. Tumhara wound deep hai but itna bhi nahin. You'll be discharged in a few hours. Phir bhi main doctor se baat kar ke aati hoon.Okay."

Shalini left to meet the doctor but she had hardly reached the door when she came back.

"Waise Naina tell me something tumne kal ki ball ke liye date arrange kiya hai ya nahin"

"Oh God! No ma'am, not yet.Woh....."

"Never mind that Naina.Infact maine tumhare liye ek hot date arrange kar liya hai"

"Kyaaa? Kaun?"

"Well woh to tumhe kal hi pata chalega but trust me he'll make a great pair with you for the evening aur chaho to uske baad bhi" Shalini said that and hurriedly left without waiting for Naina's reaction.

 

Even Naina was not upto it. She was not interested in her date or the ball. Only one thing was bothering her. Her helper last night. She has heard his voice. It was familiar but she was not able to place it. She was trying hard to think. She had some new questions bothering her but some of her old questions were being answered. She was able to link all the incidents together but only one thing was there that she had to confirm.

 

Shalini came back.

"Naina maine doctors se baat kar li hai. You will be discharged within three hours.Lekin mujhe academy jaana hai. Bahut preparations baaki hai but you take rest and I'll send someone from the acdemy to bring you back.Okay?"

"Not a problem Ma'am. You please carry on......... Ma'am mujhe aapse ek baat poochni thi. "

 "Kya?"

"Remember aapne aur Neelu ne outing ka plan banaya tha that was cancelled."

"Yes...why?"

"I just wanna know ki plan kya tha"

"Oh My God Naina. Tum theek to ho na ya phir tumhare sar pe zyada zor se chot lag gayi hai."

"C'mon ma'am, I am serious"

"Whatever Naina. That day hamara plan tha pehle kisi achche se restaurant mein dinner karne ka, uske baad 9 to 12 ka show and then disc...Anything else"

"Movie ke liye kahan jaana tha"

"PVR  mein Naina.... Jahan us raat police encounter mein terrorists were shot dead. Lekin tumhe achanak us raat ke plans mein itna intrest kyun aa gaya."

"Nothing ma'am...Just"

"Okay then main jaati hoon. See you and you just take care"

"Sure ma'am" Naina had a smile on her face. Shalini's answer was what exactly she was expecting. Things looked better and clear.
