Chapter 51

PART- 47

 

Recap: Raj & Kunal request colonel to meet naina, amit and shikha but colonel permits only one of them to meet naina at a time. Meanwhile he gets a call from the hospital about amit's condition and all three of them rushes to the hospital but the doctor tells them that they couldn't save amit, and all of them were heart broken and sad. Kunal cries bitterly and raj tries to console him. After while raj tells kunal to be brave and inform everyone about amit and he himself will inform naina. Raj meets naina in the jail and with great difficulty tells her about amit's death but much to his shock, naina doesn't react and she shouts at him. Other officers outside misunderstood her but raj exactly know what she is talking about and nods to her that he will do what she wanted him to do.

Now:

On the other side, Kunal came to shikha's room. He was sad but yet he had to be brave. He wiped out his tears and went to shikha who was thinking something with her eyes closed.

Kunal- Shikha?

Shikha opened her eyes and found kunal standing in front of her. Seeing him, she broke into tears and hugged him while kunal tried to console her.

Shikha(crying)- Dekhiye na bhaiya kya ho gaya? Karan ka kuch pata nahi aur naina jail main aur amit operation theatre main hai aur koi mujhe ye bhi nahi bata raha ki wo kaisa hai. Mere dono dost aur mera pyar sab kuch ek hi zhatke main khatam hota ja raha hai.

Kunal(sadly)- Shikha, be brave. We will find karan and will bring him back. And naina will be fine too. Tum teeno ko himmat se kaam lena hoga.

Shikha- Teeno ko matlab? Bhaiya bataye, amit kaisa hai. Is he okay? Usko kuch hua to nahi na….

Kunal was quiet but shikha was asking him repeatedly so he finally answered- Nahi wo theek nahi hai. Amit……..(Pause)……….Hum sab ko chod kar ja chuka hai shikha.

Hearing that shikha cried bitterly, and Kunal consoled her while he was also crying with her. After an hour, a nurse gave shikha a pain killer and an injection to calm her down as she was badly injured too. She went to sleep while crying and kunal left the room saying the nurse to take care of her.

Kunal called naveen and shalini to inform about amit's death and they all were shocked and sad and cried bitterly. Since amit had no family exvept his friends, kunal decided to send his body to Delhi to Colonel sahay(karan's father) who brought up amit after his parents' death.

Kunal knew that colonel sahay will be heart broken as his one son was missing and the other one was dead and the girl who he thought of her as his daughter since her childhood was blamed for his son's death and his son's missing.

But he also knew that being an army officer, he will take care of everything.

He called uncle sahay and told him everything, and as excepted he was heart broken and sad but yet he had full faith in naina that she could never do that and he also knew that karan will be back.

He promised kunal that he will do the last rituals of amit but amit's three friends will put "his asthis" in Holy River together, as he has faith in all of them.

After talking to him, kunal came to see naina with colonel who was in charge there.

Here raj and naina was almost (or pretended to) fighting with each other as raj was asking naina many questions but naina didn't give even one answer yet.

Rajveer(angrily)- What do you mean? Kya tumne hamari army ko itna nakabil samjha hai ki wo tumhari is harkat ka tumhe jawab nahi degi.

Naina- If you think that your army is going to stop me than I will challenge you that I will be out of this prison right now and she came closer to raj.

Raj- How is this going to be possible when I am around and he came closer to naina. They both had some anger in their eyes and suddenly naina took out raj's gun out of blue and aimed at him.

The guards and two other officers who were in camera room were shocked, and meanwhile kunal and the colonel entered there and they were shocked too.

After few minutes, everyone surrounded naina who had a gun pointed to Raj's head.

Colonel- Naina, put the gun down.

Naina- I am sorry sir, but I can't do this. I lost my friend and I am not about to loose another one. I have a duty to do and I know that not any of you will believe me so I had to take this step. Everyone back off…., or I will shoot him.

Kunal was almost in utter shock as how could naina talk about shooting raj but seeing determination in naina's eyes and fearless face of raj, he understood that they found a way out and he had to help them.

Kunal- Everyone please back off…. Or she will shoot him.

Colonel- I don't think Major Kunal. She will not do that.

Kunal- No sir, I know her and she will do anything to achieve her mission.

Colonel didn't know what to do. But if she shot major rajveer than it will be his responsibility and he never ever would an inquiry on him so it was better for him to let naina go and he knew that raj was the best officer so he would save himself somehow and will bring naina back.

But the thing he didn't know that raj was actually helping naina through this and he already made a decision that he won't come back until they find karan and prove naina's innonce. It didn't matter to him that he had to loose his position in army or even his life. He promised himself to be with naina and to fight for truth until his last breath, and that's what they were going to do.

After an hour of driving in a jeep, raj stopped the jeep at a lonely area and they both abandoned the jeep there and started walking.

At night, they were in another village which was so far from the army head quarters of Rajasthan where they were looking for them.

All this time, raj held naina's hand strongly and naina didn't let it go either but they didn't look at each other during the whole way as they both knew that they will not be able to hold themselves if they look at each other. And right now, it wasn't secure to be broke or emotional even though during the whole time naina only thought about amit and their friendship and its beautiful memories that they spent together up until his last breath.

Raj exactly knew how much pain naina was in and she was keeping herself up because of the situation and he had to let her grief out and also it was dark night so they won't be able to go anywhere at night and they needed a place to stay.

Fortunately, the jeep what they came in was the one in which kunal and raj came earlier that day, and their luggage was still in there with a lot of money which they brought with them just in case, so raj took everything out along with three guns before they dumped the jeep as he knew they will need those things.

In that village, raj asked somebody for a place to stay and fortunately, the person gave him the direction without even looking at him as he was busy with something. Raj and naina found their way to hotel. It wasn't exactly a hotel but it was enough for them to stay couple of days before they think about their next move.

The hotel owner gave raj a key and asked him if he needed anything else. Raj told him to bring tea, some food and water along with some medicines as his wife (indicated to naina) was sick. And as they both entered the room, owner sent those things right away that raj asked for as he wanted them to get some rest due to their conditions which he clearly thought was due to a long journey.

After taking those things, raj closed the door and put them on a table in the room. Naina was near the bed standing lost and sad. Seeing her, raj knew that she will break down any second as she held herself together for a long time.

He came near her and placed his hand on her shoulder as she was facing the other way. She turned around with tears in her eyes while she looked at him.

Raj (whispers)- Naina……

And that moment, naina started sobbing, crying so hard that she was practically in hysterics, breathing in huge gulps. Raj hugged her and let her cry as he knew if she didn't cry now, this pain will haunt her throughout her life.

There was nothing he could do. There wasn't any way that he could make this pain better as naina lost one of her best friends and even if he wanted he couldn't bring him back.

He made her sit on the bed while hugging her, and after almost one hour, naina was better but she was still crying quietly. Raj offered her some water and tea and told her to eat something but naina refused.

Raj forced her to eat a little for his shake as he knew that naina didn't eat in a while. After that they both took shower and put some fresh clothes on to feel comfortable but it helped only a little because both of their hearts were filled with pain, worry and fear of tomorrow.

Raj puts Naina into bed by telling her to go to sleep and that it will be better in the morning. He doesn't sleep himself until he knows that she is finally gone to sleep.
