Chapter 7
Part 6 - A day full of suprises..
As Riddhima opened her closet, she let out a large scream " AHHHH" . Anjali quickly jumped out the bed and went towards Riddhima.
"What happened Ridzi?"
" Di.. Cockroach" replied Riddhima.
Anjali smiled at her.
" Jeez Ridzi, it;s only a cockroach , don't get so scared yaar"
Riddhima smiled a bit.
" Anyways where are you off to?"
" Di, Armaan has a surprise for me" replied Riddhima shyly.
" Achcha, what is that surprise little sister?"
" How would I know, it's a surprise di? Help me get dressed nah" replied Riddhima with a smile on her face.
" Okay, let's raid your closet"
After 15 mins of trying on different clothes, Anjali and Riddhima sighed to each other.
" Di, there is nothing in this closet that we can agree on, now what?"
" Maybe I can help" replied a voice from outside
" Papa" and both girls ran and hugged Shashank.
" Here. I got this for you Riddhima"
" For me Papa?"
" Hmmm"
Riddhima rushed in and opened up her gift. It was a white kurta punjabi with a sliver lining on it.
Riddhima was exicted to see it.
" Thank you so much Papa"
" You're welcome. Now go and get ready"
As Riddhima left to get ready, Anjali noticed a tear fell down Shashank's eyes.
" Dad, you promised..
" I know Anjali, but she is my daughter. I cannot help but wonder. As a doctor and as father, I am helpless. How can I do anything?
" Dad, it will all be fine. Nothing will happen to Riddhima.
" I hope so Anjali'
Their conversation was interrupted by Riddhima's delight smile as she spun her new gift around.
" You look perfect Riddhima. Go now"
Riddhima kissed her father goodbye and her sister and left in the Auto Rikshaw to the basketball court.
On the other side Armaan had set the entire basketball court with candles and lights and prayed it wouldn't rain today.
He got everything ready when he noticed a sound. He turned and saw her..
Her.. She was his life.. His everything. His reason for lviing
Dressed in white , she looked like an angel that came down from Heaven
Her ears were dangles and she had the most cutest smile on her face as she approached him.
There was nothing between them, except a basketball that blocked her and his path.
He smiled and She smiled..
"So Dr. Malik, what is the surprise?
"
" Well Dr. Ridhima. I am a king of giving suprises so you will have to wait but what do you think of the place?
Riddhima turned to see candles lighting everywhere and flowers everywhere.
" Not bad Dr. Malik"
" Thank you" he replied sheepishly.
Just then She walked over to him, and the flowers that were planted were perfect and fell right into her path. She smiled at him.
" So this was a surprise. It's very sweet"
" Nope. This is not the surprise, keep guessing Riddhima"
She stared at the basketball in front of them.
" Oooh, another match. Want to loose Dr. Malik?"
" I am not in a mood to loose but let me get rid of the basketball. Close your eyes Riddhima"
She did as she was told. He slowly moved towards her and told her to open her eyes.
He was on the floor asking her for a dance. She grabbed his hand firmly. The song started...

" I love you too Riddhima" smiled Armaan and kissed her head.
As the song finished, the rain would never let them go. Armaan smiled at this.
" The rain has been a part of us Armaan and I am so glad it is back again"
" I know, remember our first date?"
" I know, and I can't believe you let me win that game Armaan"
" Riddhima, you were always better than me in all ways?"
" No way Armaan. You were better than me in something else"
" Like what?"
" Like loving me Armaan. No one can love me as much as you did"
" Shh Riddhima. I can never stop loving you. You were the one who taught me how to love. I will always love you Riddhima"
Riddhima smiled at this and rested her head on his shoulder just then..
" Riddhima" replied Armaan. "Riddhima"
He was scared out of his mind, as he let her go, she fell right into his arms..
" Riddhima" screamed Armaan.
