The last month was passed in wedding preparations and shopping. Everyone was busy with their assigned task. The sangeet ceremony and mehendi ceremony was simply perfect and the next morning was the wedding.
Shikha was looking at her mehendi in her room and smiling to herself thinking about her new life. She felt that someone was standing at the door so she looked up to see her brother standing there with tears in his eyes.
Shikha- Bhaiya aap?
Raj- Bas apni gudiya ko dekh raha tha jo pata hi nahi chala kab badi ho gayee. Teri bahut yaad aayegi mujhe...
Shikha hugged him while having tears in her eyes.
Shikha- Main bhi aap ko bahut miss karoongi bhaiya. Yahan to aap ke paas bhabhi aur Khushi hai lekin mere saath.
Raj- Tere saath wahan pe Huda hoga aur phir tu isi shehar main to hai.
Naina who was looking at the emotional brother-sister duo came inside.
Naina- Haan ab ye aansoo kal ke liye bacha ke rakho. Bidaai pe is ki zaroorat padegi.
Shikha looked at her and hugged her too.
After a brief moment, Raj & Naina left the room telling Shikha to get some rest.
The next morning, three weddings had taken place. Ali and pooja's marriage was taken place by holding both Muslim and Punjabi ceremony. Everyone enjoyed the wedding and all three couples had stepped into a new relationship.
After the weddings, everyone went to their respective houses. Raj and Naina came back to their house with Khushi who was sleeping after a busy enjoyful day. Naina put her to sleep while Raj went up to their room after kissing his daughter good night.
Raj was stading beside the window and he was lost in his thoughts when Naina came to the room and stood next to him. Naina saw his lost look so she decided to shook him out of it.
Naina- Are you okay Raj?
Raj took her in his arms and hugged her tight and sometime both of them didn't speak anything.
After sometime, Raj broke the hug and looked at Naina.
Raj- Khushi akeli pad gayee hai na...
Naina- Tumhara matlab?
Raj- Ab uski Shikha bua chali gayee to uske saath khelne ke liye koi aur bhi is ghar main hona chahiye na...
Naina understood what he was talking about and smiled at him.
Naina- Raj tum?
Raj- I need another kid Naina, mujhe hamesha ye afsos rahega ki maine wo sare moments miss kiye jab tum pehli baar preganant thi. I want to feel that process once in my life and after all, Khushi ko bhi ek bhai ya behan ki zarrorat hai tumhe nahi lagta?
Naina looked at him with love and her eyes said it all. He didn't need any other permission from her. He took her into his arms and hugged her. After a long hug, they parted and Raj took Naina inside their room in his arms.
A year later:
Raj was outside of the operation theater pacing in the corridor. He looked at the the door every few minutes and then at Khushi who was sleeping on a small sofa in the waiting room. Naina was in labour. Raj had been with Naina during her preganancy so he can experience every little moment that he missed with Khushi. He saw Abhi and Gunny coming after half an hour.
Abhi- Raj, sab theek ho jayega. Fikar mat kar.
Raj- Kya fikar na karoon, pata hai kitne pain main thi Naina. Main to daar gaya tha.
After an hour, the doctor came out and everyone looked up at him.
The doctor: Congratulations, it's a boy...
All three of them roared in joy and Khushi had woken up by the sound. Raj took Khushi with him and entered the room while Abhi and Gunny went to call everyone else to tell the good news.
Khushi ran to the crib to meet her little brother as she was really excited to meet him while Raj went up to Naina and hugged her.
Raj- How are you feeling?
Naina- Just wonderful... Did you see our son?
Raj- Not yet.
Khushi came up to him and told him- Papa, I can't see him properly. Can you get him out of there?
Raj smiled at her and went up to his son. He took his son his arms for the first time and kissed his small forehead. He came up to Naina and put the baby into her arms. Khushi was sitting on the bed beside Naina and she started to play with her little brother happily.
Naina-Hamare bete ke Naam ke bare main kuch socha hai?
Raj- Naina, there was never any other choice for my first baby boy. I know what I am calling him. His name is going to be Naveen who will take after my best friend and his uncle.
Naina- I love you. Thank you for giving me a perfect family and all happiness in the world.
Raj kissed her forehead and said- You gave me the same. Pefect family and your love.
He hugged his family enjoying the moment and after a while his friends gathered in the room to hold a new member to their family.
The life was perfect after that...............
Abhi and Nandini had another son a year after that and Gunny and Vidya were gifted with twin baby girls when their son Aditya turned four years old.
The life was perfect filled with love and khatti meethi knock-jhock and all of the above, their duties toward their country.
