Chapter 11

Abhi  and Naina looked horrified. The doctor came out and everyone rushed to him.

The doctor- She is stable. Sar pe chot aane ki wajah se hum ko unhe kuch ghante observe karna hoga but she will be fine.

Abhi rushed inside along with others. Nandini asked first about kids but no one could answer her.

She started to cry and told the whole story how it happened.  To calm her down, the doctor gave her injection.

The doctor- don't worry, unko aaram ki zaroorat hai.

Meanwhile Gunny and Vidya came to the hospital as well.

Gunny- What happened Raj?

Raj took him into the corner and told about the situation. Gunny rushed to Naina who was crying badly.

Gunny- Naina?

Naina looked at him and hugged him and started to cry more.

Naina- I can't live without her. She is my everything gunny… you know that… I want her back…

Gunny- Naina, we will get them back.

Abhi couldn't stop his tears either. Raj and Vidya consoled him but they were also scared for kids.

The doctor came out and he told that someone should stay with Nandini.

Vidya- I will stay with her.

Abhi- But?

Vidya- No buts… You guys go ahead…

Raj- We can't leave you two alone here. Shikha will stay with you.

He told Shikha to stay back and call them if anything is needed.

Others had rushed to the head quarters. Major General Gaur was already there. Aalekh and Huda had already informed him about the situation while Ali and Aditi were working to find out the mole inside the military base. Now they all were in the conference room.

G. Gaur- I know it's a delicate situation but you guys need to keep your calm. We are here and we will find some situation.

Naina- We want the terrorists in our custody now…

G. Gaur- It's not possible anymore Major. I have orders from my superiors. I know you are worried about your daughter but you can't break any rules.

Abhi- Rules? I can't believe this. We caught them and we will catch them again sir. But we can't lose our kids.

G. Gaur(regretfully)- I understand Colonel, but I am sorry. If we freed them, they will take more lives. You need to see the bigger picture.

Naina(angrily)- Not possible sir. Not this time. Even if I have to break every rule of the army, I will. I am not losing my daughter sir.

She left the conference room, and Abhi had also left behind her.

Everyone else was just sat there and General Gaur looked at them.

G. Gaur- You all must think that I don't have any feeling, but that's not true. I can bend rules too for my officers. I know how Abhimanyu and Naina are feeling right now but we have seen these situations before.  They are not thinking rationally because they are thinking like parents right now and it's understandable. But you all need to think like soldiers as we all know that there is no guarantee that after we release those terrorists, they will release the kids.

Everyone understood General Gaur's intentions and they promised him and each other that they will handle this situation well without letting anybody get hurt.

Raj and Gunny asked Ali and Aditi to try to find the inside traitor, and they asked Pooja, Huda and Aalekh to gather information of the area and people thoroughly.

Gunny- I would talk to Abhi right now and make him understand the situation. Would you talk to Naina?

Raj (hesitated) - Yeah sure…

Gunny left to talk with Abhi while Raj went to find Naina.

*************************************************************************************Raj went outside and he saw Naina in a garden. It was secluded corner and Naina was standing there with anger and frustration on her face. It also looked like that she was crying. Raj felt helpless as he knew what she must feel right now. It wasn't easy for him either. He had loved Karan as his own son since Karan was born. And in last two months, Khushi had become an important part of her life.

Raj went to Naina and placed his hand on her shoulder.

Raj(softly)- Naina…

Naina looked back to him and she couldn't stop her tears anymore. She hugged him and started to cry badly. Raj kept consoling her while hugging her back.

Naina- Raj, I can't live without Khushi. She is my everything. Please bring her back… I don't have anyone else in my life.

Raj felt pain as somehow he was also responsible behind Naina's pain. He cursed himself for leaving her ever but today he decided that whatever happens, he won't let Naina down this time. He will bring Khushi and Karan back even if he has to give his life in order to bring them back.

They were hugging each other for some time when Raj heard someone's voice calling him from behind….

They both separated and looked into the direction of the voice and he was stunned to see Ritu standing there. Ritu looked at Naina and her expressions were turned into annoyance.  Naina didn't want to look at her as she hated her to the core.

Raj- Ritu, tum yahan?

Ritu(sarcastically)- I didn't mean to interrupt but I just had my last conference in Delhi and since I was free, I thought I should join you. After all, I am your wife… By the way, It's been a long time since we saw each other Naina. I didn't know you were going to be here too. How are you?

Naina- I am fine and excuse me I have to go…

Naina left from there and she gave a look of disappointment to Raj while she was leaving.

Raj was again helpless as he knew that Ritu came at a very bad time and now he had to deal with her as well as the situation but his first priority was to find Karan and Khushi.

Raj- Ritu, why don't you go home with an orderly? I will see you in the evening.

Ritu- But???

Raj- I have a lot of pressure and problems right now so please do as I say.

Ritu saw Raj getting angry and she didn't want him to be mad at her so she left also.

At night, everyone was back to house to find some solution as they had some information. They all were stunned to see Ritu as well.

Ritu- Hey guys, why are you shocked? I was supposed to come here anyway.

Aditi- Wo Raj sir ne bataya nahi tha ki aap aa rahi hai is liye…

Ritu- It's okay. I gave him surprise too. By the way how is everything?

Huda- Aap ko kuch nahi maloom? Karan and Khushi had been kidnapped…

Ritu- What? Who is Khushi?

Aalekh- Naina ma'am's daughter….

Meanwhile, Abhi, Gunny, Raj and Shikha came along with Vidya and Nandini. They all looked at Ritu. Ritu pretended to care for Nandini and she consoled her. She said hi to gunny and vidya and went upstairs along with Nandini and Vidya.

Abhi asked about the progress while Gunny looked around for Naina.

Gunny- Where is Naina?

Ali- She is not here. We had been back at house for half an hour.

Gunny took out his mobile and called Naina but her mobile was off. It made him worried.

Gunny- Her phone is switched off.

Raj looked at him and he was worried as well. Everyone else was worried too.
