Part 9:-

They were sitting in the car in the company of silence until a loud, stretched out growl was heard. Kripa looked at Angad from the corner of her eyes and then raised them while pressing her lips together to hide her smile. He was so cute and hungry! Unable to control it anymore she cracked and so did Angad. There they sat laughing and laughing at something so pointless. The crazy chimpanzees.

"Hey, Hey! Look! There's a Dairy Queen. Stop, Stop! Stop! NO, I didn't say speed, I said STOP!"

"Relax woman!"

Each grabbed their doubled and tripled and quadrupled ice creams and sat down on the bench outside the small shop. He looked at her like the ice-cream insatiably. This way they discovered their new pass time; that is eating ice-cream and sneaking glances at one another and making fun of each other if they have some ice cream stuck on their noses.

Another week passed by without even Kripa noticing it. She wondered what she'd do without him. He took care of every thing she needed or wanted and now he was part of her life which she wanted to hold on forever.

She skipped down the stairs and sat down on the breakfast table awaiting her breakfast and his sweet teasing voice wishing her a very glad good morning but it didn't happen. She waited a few more minutes and now impatiently stamping her feet. "Angad! Where are you?" She walked into the kitchen to see a note on a plate neatly wrapped in a plastic wrap. She picked up the note and read aloud, "Dear Kripa, I know how long you've been waiting for me to go far, far away from you and finally luck's taking you're side. I will be gone for six long days and that too far, far away from you. For the time being the watchman will have a tight and strict watch on you and will be updating me of your doings every hour so don't be up to too much trouble. Take care and I know I don't need to say don't miss me because I know you won't. Take care, Angad… No….. Don't go away…. Who's going to buy me ice-cream now? Argh… idiot! Where is he?"

She left her breakfast untouched and went back to bed. She had nothing to look forward in life.
What was she suppose to do now? Sit home and do work! Damn it! That's boring… Aaliya also just had to go with Josh to London, now didn't she? Argh… She got an idea! Books! Yeah! I can start reading!

She sat down on the carpet of her living room flipping through the books she bought from the near by book store. She tried. She really did. She read each sentenced at least twice but she couldn't understand it. She'd read another page and her mind would wander off to him again. Argh… why? Why can't I stop thinking about him even though he's so far apart from me? Why can't I do anything but not think about him? Argh… but she had to admit he definitely has this magic of his. After he was gone was when she realized he was already successful in imprinting his memories on her heart. She knew she was a gone case now. Well over Prithvi and a lot onto Angad. Now, all she could hope was that he wouldn't walk all over her heart now. That's all she could do.

The next four days were passed by just like this restlessly and impatiently waiting and waiting for him to return. She finally got out of her bed knowing Angad would be back today which automatically lifted her mood but she was still groggy from her sleepless previous nights. She grabbed her towel and headed into the shower. She could feel the hot water running through her head making her feel sleepy once again. No, she wasn't suppose to act like this, she was suppose to act like she had the time of her life while he was gone. She turned the knob to cold. The chilly water instantly snapped her eyes open. She was so eager that she put her shirt on the backwards. She literally ran down the stairs and quickly changed her run to a slow walk. Angad witnessed her eagerness from the kitchen window. He giggled. He knew she missed him and that too a lot!

She looked at him in awe as she saw him making her breakfast and then quickly changed her expressions to a disgusted and a sad one as soon as she saw that he was looking at her.
