I thank my friend jasminerahul for encouraging me to write the Fan Fictions. This FF is dedicated to her. The 90-95% of the story will be in flashback as the female lead will be narrating her story.
Prologue
Saras - He is from a royal family & is a Nawab Sultan
Kumud - She is from a lower middle-class family who has been sold to kotha by one of her father's rival. She is known as Umrao Jaan.
Pramad- He is a goonda in disguise who comes to the kotha presenting himself as a Nawab.
Vidyachatur Desai - He is Kumud's father
Guniyal Desai - She is Kumud's mother
Yash - He is Kumud's brother
Khannum Jaan - She runs the kotha but is soft & straight-forward
Bua Hussaini - She is living with Khannum and treats Kumud as her own daughter. She has 2 daughters named Kusum & Kumari.
Moulvi Sahib - He is Bua Hussaini's husband & father of 2 girls. The adopted one is Kumud.
Kusum is Moulvi's first daughter
Kumari - Moulvi's second daughter
The other characters will be introduced later.
