What I did on my prom??!!
"Riddhima?" she screamed , her voice highly pitched that can damage ear drums of everyone. "What Sapna" asked riddhima turning around from her book, which she was reading lying on her front on her bed, her legs tossed in air playing with each other. She found her friend sapna standing there in her beautiful and elegant marron dress her hair tied into a bun, in a shocked mode , her mouth opened, horrid written over her face,her hand over her mouth. Terrified with her expression riddhima jumped out of the bed and hurried towards her. "hey sapna what happened dear?" she asked gently comforting her shoulders. " oh god!! How could u riddhima? " she shouted freaking riddhima running towards the wadrobe they shared pulling out all the dresses. " today is our prom and you are still not ready. How can u riddhima." She shouted skimming through all the dresses. "Relax sapna, I don't have a date and I am not going to prom without a date." She declared jumping on to the bed with her book. " Oh yes, u are coming with us. So what if u don't have a date." Sapna insisted still searching for a dress. " OH comeon sapna I don't want to be there without a date and what abt amit. I am sure he won't like it. He wuld want to be alone with u." riddhima tried to explain but in vain as sapna as sapna turned to her with a black dress apt for the prom. " I don't want to go to the prom without my best friend and Don't worry amit won't mind. I am sure of it" she added proudly speaking on behalf of her love. " Ooh!! So amit having two dates for the day. LUCKY MAN" riddhima emphasized on the last part watching from the corner of her eyes , teasing sapna who handed her the dress. " NO! He is going to be mine only. U just accompanying us." Sapna said glaring at her. "OOH!! Someone jealous" riddhima teased further enjoying the face of flushed sapna. "Riddhima!!" sapna angrily shouted at riddhima. " OOH sapna don't stress baby" said raising her hands in peace " Amit will have nightmares tonight looking at u like this" she added rolling her tongue. "Riddhima, u are dead now" sapna shouted running after riddhima who immediately moved into the bathroom, closed the door showing her tongue to sapna, who fumed at her and threw her sandal that hit the door.

" He is here riddhima. Best of Luck" sapna whispered to a nervous riddhima as they reached the venue. Riddhima nervously nodded at sapna, who moved in with amit by her side. " Hi, Rahul" she mumbled nervously at him as he extended his hand for her. She took his hand smiling at him nervously which he returned and entered the venue. It was a large hall populated with all the students from the college. All the girls in their best dresses and boys in their best suits. She spotted her friend sapna with amit at the bar counter. She breathed heavily thinking of her next guest for the evening. Atleast the hall is populated she thought. Let it be more crowded please she wished. "Rahul, can you get me something to drink. I am thirsty from traveling" she asked looking at rahul. Excuse no. 1 she counted mentally, how many more she was gonna make, she didn't know. He didn't expect her to say that but being a gentleman he was, he went to the bar counter. Riddhima breathed out with relief, composed herself for the next guest of the night. " Be ready for your next date riddhima" she thought to herself moving out of the hall.
" Hi riddhima" he squealed with excitement looking at riddhima who was standing outside for him in her elegant black gown flowing to her toes, bared on her shoulder, her smooth silky hair left loose which moved up and down as she breathed. " Hi atul." She waved at him smiling. He took her hand and moved towards the entrance. The guard looked at her meaningfully giving her a wicked smile. "I know what u think Mr. Nosy Guard and I am gonna hit myself for this" she cursed herself for the situation she was in. "Atul, hmm…have a drink. U must be thirsty right." She said looking around for rahul. She was sure he wuld be searching for her, n it wuld be worse he found her with atul. " NO, riddhima I am absoulutely fine. Let's dance come on" he asked. He looked at her strangely as she was looking around the hall. "Are you searching for someone." He asked. " uhmm…uhmm….no no one." She smiled stretching her lips weakly as tthey were trembling with the situation she was leading herself into. " no atul I insist u take a drink. U must be thirsty." Trying once again. "no riddhima I am really fine." he said. " NO U MUST HAVE A DRINK" she shouted getting irritated, huh! Can't he leave for one sec. she thought. "HMmm.. riddhima I think u need a drink I will just get it" he said moving towards the counter as she smiled weakly at him giving him an understanding look. Now rahul where are you man, she thought frantically searching for him moving through the pairs that were dancing pushing them. Finally spotting rahul at a corner she moved towards him.
" sorry rahul. I was just talking to my friend" she apologized. He seemed sad, who wuldn't be,his date has gone missing the next minute they entered the hall. Excuse no.2 she counted mentally. "It's ok. Want to dance." He asked passing her the drink she wanted. " ha sure" she said excitedly pulling him onto the dance floor which was already crowded. She counted the time. Ten minutes now jump to atul riddhima otherwise he will be here in search of u. she thought to herself. Execuse no.3 brace yourself rahul. " Rahul, excuse me, hmm…. Just need to use the wash room." She said moving a arms distance form him. he looked at her while she awkwardly smiled at him " hmm… will be back in a moment" she said vanishing into the crowd while he looked at her confused, shrugging his shoulder and went to dance.
"Hi, atul sorry got held up with some friends.." she said breathing heavily from the run. Luckily for her atul was on the dance floor with his friends in the other corner from rahul, far away from rahul. She breathed with relief as she saw him there. " No problem riddima. I am having fun here. Come u too join." He pulled her onto the dance floor. " Hmm….having fun" she smiled at him. again counting the time. I am going to be crazy she thought to herself. Excuse no.3 to you too atul. " Atul, just need to use the washroom will be back in the moment." She shouted back as she ran off. Atul looked at her holding his laughter. Moving to the other side of the dance floor where rahul was. "Rahul" she called him sweetly. He looked at her smiling pulling her onto the dance floor. "uhmm….uhmmm….big queue…" she mumbled to him dancing with him counting the time once again.

"ha, finally alone. Have got some space for myself. I am tired running for both of them. The excuses I made OH MY GOD! I have run out of them. Hiding from them while dancing so that they don't see me with each other. Oh my god. Thank GOODNESS finally they got muskaan and anjali to be with other wise I wuld have to be working more hiding now since many have left. This prom really made me crazy." She thought to herself laughing madly of what she has all done today.. finally she got off without being caught by anyone of them otherwise the situation wuld have been embarrassing she thought as she sat outside on the steps breathing free air, enjoying the cold breeze as she waited for sapna and amit.
She thought of how she got into all this. "It was all the fault of sapna. But can I curse her as she was just being a good friend when she asked rahul to be my date and when rahul accepted it. Can I ?" it was the same time when she received a call from atul asking her for the prom which she accepted graciously as she didn't want to ruin her friend's day with her love. When sapna entered the room again they squealed in excitement. " I have a good news" they both spoke together. Then holding themselves they eyed together to speak up first but again ended up saying " I/U have got a date" together. Riddhima and sapna got a big shock hearing that from each other. " Sapna, how could u ? u should have asked me" riddhima moaned after sapna narrated the story. " I can say the samething riddhima. U only said u dind't have a date" sapna shouted. They both discussed on how to crack the news to them. To go with whom, how culd they break the other's heart. Finally getting no solution riddima decided to go with both of them. " Now the only thing I need to make sure is that they don't speak of this evening to their friends or to each other. The situation wuld be total gross if they do it."

" And that's what I did on my prom" she turned to look at him but was surprised not finding him there. He was rolling with laughter on the floor. She was too engrossed in narrating that night, she didn't see when he has fallen on the floor laughing. " Armaan. It isn't funny" she shouted at him getting up her hands on her hips. " It is dear, for any sane person." He said in between his fits of laughter, holding his somach sitting straight. " u call men double timing idiots when u do that urself." And he burst out laughing as he saw her shocked mouth open expression. " Huh!!! Fine then u laugh I am leaving." She said angrily walking towards the door.
" hey, u didn't ask me what I did on my prom." He asked her pulling her by her wrist in to his arms. Holding her tight, his one hand on her waist and other holding her wrist pinning it to her back. "hmph… u were busy laughing" she pointed shrugging her shoulders. " I will tell u. what I did on my prom" he said huskily in her ear, which was followed by silence which has the passion of their love.
"I missed u. I missed the smile that touches my soul, tickles my heart making it flutter and go wild. I missed ur soulful eyes, that holds my eye, my soul, that holds the passion, love sometime desire for me" she shyed looking down not able to meet his boring gaze. " I missed ur flushing cheek when I make some cheeky comment. The scent u carry with u, that makes u more desirous to me. The electrifying feel I get when I touch u, get close to you. I missed u being in my life." He spoke with truth in his voice, as he sat on his knees with her on his one lap. " I missed u a lot and I never want to miss u again. Will u RIDDHIMA GUPTA be mine forever and ever" he asked taking out a box from his pocket. He looked at her eyes that always held true expressions, tears brimmed her eyes. She was shocked by his sudden proposal. She loved him and she knew he loved her much more. They were dating for two years but she never expected this, sudden proposal took her by shock. Words failed to come out of her mouth. Her heart exploded with all the love for him, excitement to be his forever. She hugged him closer to her sobbing nodding in yes to his proposal. " I LOVE U" was all she culd say and it was all enough for him to smile and hug her closer and tighter, happy to have her for life.
