Chapter eleven

its a fresh morning.(PS-Its monday) and nimmo and jaanvi are going to their new office. jaanvi is very much excited whereas nimmo is not in mood. they go into the office and everyone there wishes nimmo, a warm good morning, nimmo is surprised and impressed. but one of them asks her if she is the one who is going to marry kunal. and now she understood why all gave her a very good welcome. nimmo and jaanvi enter kunal's cabin.
kunu: ya, come in........oh nimmo, welcome to your office and you too jaanvi.
jaan: thank you sir.
kunu: hey no need of "sir". tum mujhe kunal bula sakte ho.
jaan: its ok, i prefer calling you sir at the office.
kunu: ok then, tumaari marzi. waise aapke friend baat nahi karthi kya.
jaanvi looks at nimmo and tells her to talk.
nims: mein apni office hours mein zyaada baat nahi karti.
kunu: achcha? anyways, jaanvi baahar right side corner mein ek manager hai, vikrant, u can ask him the details about your work.
jaan: thank you sir. bye nimmo.
jaanvi leaves the cabin followed by nimmo but...
kunu: hey nimmo tum kahaan jaa rahi ho?
nims: vikrant se milne
kunu: woh toh meine jaanvi se kahaa tha.
nims: toh wat about my duty?
kunu: i'll tell you. jaanvi, you may leave. and nimmo, yahaan aakar baito.
nims: no thanks.
kunu: teek hai. tum meri personal assisstant ho, hope u know that.
nims: haan, mein jaanthi hoon.
kunu: toh, tum bhi issi cabin mein baitogi, wahaan....
he points at the table on the right side of the room.
nims: thank you so much.
and she goes and sits at her table. kunal is very much surprised by nimmo's such behaviour. but decidesnot to ask her about this. nimmo and kunal are doing their respective jobs, but kunal couldnt stop looking at nimmo. every ten minutes he looked at her, and nimmo did not even mind him. it was time for lunch and kunal thought of an idea to talk to her not directly but indirectly.
kunu: nimmo, mein tumse ek baat kehna bhool hi gaya.
nims: kya baat hai?
kunu: woh kunal tumse baat karna chahtha hai.
nims: toh? meri mobile mein uska no. nahi hai. mein usse baat nahi kar sakti.
kunu: patha hai, isliye usne apna email id diya hai.
nims: really? kya hai uska email id?
kunu: ok, note kar lo, coolkunal@yahoo.com
nims: thanks kunal.
and nimmo gets up to have lunch.
kunu: kahaan jaa rahi ho?
nims: yeh kaisa sawaal hai, lunch karne ke liye. jaanvi mera intezaar kar rahi hogi. bye.
kunal felt upset but then his lunch had also arrived. nimmo came inside the cabin after lunch. kunal was busy on his laptop. nimmo went to her seat. she put on the computer and sees if kunal is still busy with his laptop and he was. she took the paper in which she had written kunal's mail id. she typed it on her messenger and what a surprise he was online. she started chatting but kept an eye on kunal if he was noticing her. but he was too busy.
nimmo typed her msg.
nims:" hi kunal! how are you? how is california?"
kunal's msg box popped up and he was happy to see nimmo's msg.
kunu(thinks- hum donon ek hi kamre mein hain, lekhin computer se chat kar rahen hain.): "i'm fine nimmo? tum kaisi ho?"
nims:" i'm fine here kunal. want to tell you sumthing imp"
kunu: "what is it?"
nims: " meri marriage fix ho gayi"
kunu: " what??? lekhin itni jaldi aur kiske saat?"
nims: " tum hasoge toh nahi?"
kunu: " nahi toh! kyun pooch rahi ho?"
nims: " kyunki ladka tumaara friend woh idiot kunal hai"
kunal was kind of furious when he read "idiot kunal". he peeped at nimmo and nimmo notices that kunal was looking at her and she suddenly looks into a file. kunal felt like laughing when he saw this.
kunu: " oh my god nimmo, i cant beleive it. you must be very lucky"
nims: " lucky??????no way kunal. uske saat shaadi, i cant imagine it"
kunu: " really nimmo, kunal is very nice guy. woh bahut achcha hai. seiously"
nims: "achcha toh hai, lekhin patha nahi kyun, usse dek kar mein kuch bol nahi paati.abh bhi uske saamne baiti hoon"
kunu: " what do you mean?"
nims: " mein uski personal assisstant hoon. toh mein uske saat ussi ke cabin mein baiti hoon."
kunu: " ohhhhhh toh yeh baat hai"
nims: " baar baar voh mujhe dektha hai, uski nazar sirf mujhpar hai"
kunu: " tumhe kaise patha"
nims: " mujhe pathan hai. lekhin mein usse mind nahi karti"
kunu: " kyun?"
nims: " patha nahi kyun, lekhin jab bhi mein usse dekthi hoon, meinkuch bol nahi paati."
kunu: "ok then nimmo, mujhe kaam karna hai. so sad ki tumaare shaadi par nahi aa paoonga. anyways advanced wishes. be happy"
nims: " ok then bye kunal"
nimmo put off her computer and looks at kunal if he was still busy. and he was. nimmo continues with her work and it was about time to leaves jaanvi comes to nimmo's cabin.
jaan: excuse me?
kunu: ya, come in.
jaan: kunal, toh mein aur nimmo chalthein hain.
nims: haan.
kunu: hey wait a second.
nims: kya hua?
kunu: woh jaanvi, mein nimmo ko apne ghar le jaa raha hoon, uski dress ready hai.
nims: kya??? nahi kunal. mujhe ghar jaana hai
kunu: hey nimmo, meine mom se promise kiya tha ki mein tumhe lekar aoonga.
nims: toh, tumhe mujhse poochna chahiye tha
kunu: i'm sorry. lekhin mein bhool gaya tha.
jaan: its ok kunal. nimmo, tum kunal ke saat ghar jao
nims: lekhin...
jaan: bye nimmo, bye kunal.
nimmo gives kunal a very furious look and kunal tries to avoid it.
kunu: teek hai, toh hum bhi chalthein hain. nimmo and kunal leave. meanwhile jaanvi was starting her scooter when she noticed that vikrant was trying to start his bike. she goes near him.
jaan: kya hua vikrant?
vik: voh mera bike start nahi ho raha. aur mujhe dher ho rahi hai, ek client se milna hai.
jaan: toh mein tumhe drop kar dethi hoon.
vik: lekhin tumhe dher toh nahi ho jaayegi?
jaan: its ok. i'll drop you. in fact yeh office ka kaam hai.
vik: ek kaam kartha hoon, i'll ride aur tum peeche bait lo.
jaan: ok.
and then they too leave. on their way jaanvi comes to know that vikrant is the only son in his house and he lives with his grandparents as his parents died in an aircrash. she felt sorry for him. and then they came to know about each other very well. jaanvi told him that she will drop him at his house and so she did and his house was in the lane next to jaanvi's. jaanvi went home and told her mother that her new office is great.
on the other side nimmo was welcomed in kunal's house by everyone. she was introduced to raj and varsha as they had not come to nimmo's house the other day. nimmo was very impressed with kunal's house members. they showed her the engagement dress and she was just staring at it. it was really very beautiful. and then they showed her everyone's dress and sent them to nimmo's house. nimmo thanked everyone and went home late.
everyone at nimmo's house were just admiring nimmo's dress. naina wore her dress and she was simply mind blowing in it. nimmo felt very tired and so she went to bed while the others were still looking at the dress.
