Chapter 8

7th Episode

Shailee:

Salaam-e-Ishq..... Love has a series of stages. First stage, attraction, was shown with Eijaz and Anita. The second stage, Pain, was shown with Angad and Neha. The third stage, Denial, will be shown with Lakshya and Mouni.

Mouni was at the shopping mall with Zara and Priya(Lakshya's sisters). Suddenly she spotted Lakshya with many shopping bags coming out of the maternity store. She was shell shocked.

She thought to herself, " This cannot be happening. Lakshya cannot have done that. Why did he come out of the maternity store with so many bags? Could what I am thinking actually come true? Bappa( the name she calls Lord Ganesha) , yeh kya ho raha hai?"

Zara also saw Lakshya. She noticed the shopping bags and saw Mouni's pain. She shouted, " Lakshya bhaiyya, Come here." Lakshya heard his name. He turned around and saw his sisters with Mouni. He saw pain and tears in Mouni's eyes.

He walked up to them and said, "Hi, guys. What are you guys doing here?" Zara replies, "We should be asking you that bhaiyya." She gave a long glance at the shopping bags. Lakshya noticed it.

He looked at Mouni. She was crying. Lakshya walked up to her and held her shoulders.

Zara and Priya realised they should give them a moment alone. Lakshya gave a shocked Mouni a meaningful embracing hug.

They stood like that for minutes. Finally, Lakshya realised what he was doing. He reluctantly let go of an overjoyed Mouni.

Mouni looked down at the shopping bags again. Lakshya said, "These bags are for my clinic. Some of the patients couldn't afford maternity clothes so I thought why not but some for them."

Mouni smiled and thought, "He is such a sweet person. Why did I doubt him? Was I actually jealous?"

Lakshya asked, " Ummm..... Do you want to grab a bite at the food court. I am quite hungry." He blushed. Mouni responded sweetly, "Sure, Lakshya. I would love to." They walked to the food court and looked at which restaurants there were. They settled on McDonalds.

Mouni ordered a meatless burger and french fries. Lakshya realised that she was a vegetarain and he wasn't. He decided to order a meatledd burger so Mouni would not feel uncomfortable. Mouni said, "I want a chocolate milkshake."

 Lakshay said, " Okay, order it." Mouni said, " I can never finish it by myself." Lakshya laughed and replies, " I will share it with you." They ordered the yummy milkshake and sat down at the table.

They both devoured their food. There were two straws in the milkshake glass. They both blushed and took a sip together. Suddenly, a feminine voice said,"Lakshya." It was none other than Sweta. Sweta was Lakshya's ex-girlfriend. Mouni knew her but Sweta didn't. She just looked ath Lakshya's reaction. Lakshya instantly got up and exchanged greetings.

Sweta noticed Mouni. She said, "Hi. Lakshya, who is this friend of yours?" Mouni knew Lakshya would just have her pretend to be a friend. Lakshya surprised her. Lakshya said, " She is not my friend. She is my fiance and soon to be wife." Sweta looked very shocked. She congragulated them and left.

Mouni smiled at Lakshya and they finished their milkshake. They went home after that. The whole car ride, they were staring at eachother and tried creating conversations. 

Lakshya stopped at the entrance of Mouni's mansion. Lakshya and Mouni stared at eachother for minutes. Mouni was about to step out of the car. Suddenly, Pulkit gives her a kiss on the cheek. Mouni blushed and walked to her house door.

She looked back at Pulkit and smiled. Pulkit blushed and smiled back too. He thought to himself, " What did I do? Do I love her. No, I cannot. Do I??."
