Chapter 15

It was Halloween!!! Many people were at stores buying last minute candies. It was 6:30 pm. Angad and Kripa had worn their costumes to school. Kripa's was neat and she had gotten many compliments.

However, the guys stayed away from her, they thought she rather looked creepy, or some didn't even recognize her. Angad got dirty and disgusted looks from girls. (No one recognized him, except Kripa of course!). Most were dressed up as princess, etc. They were all looking for their prince charming, Angad Khanna, but little did they know. Some even laughed at Kripa's new "boyfriend" who was sticking around her with that hideous outfit. (Angad, lol)

So, that is how their day at school had gone. They both had gone home and time passed. Both were going to meet at Kripa's house around 6:30. At 6, Kripa got up and changed into her outfit. She put on some make-up and then check her herself out in the mirror.
Kripa- "Wicked"

Around the same time, Angad was sitting at home with his mask in his hand, staring at the clock. He didn't really have an outfit, he just had a mask. He sat there and watched as the time passed. Aaliya was walking by, when she saw Angad sitting in his room, with the door open. She saw him staring at the clock.

Aa- Bhai?
Angad turned around- Yea?
Aa- aren't u going to throw eggs at people's windows today like you do every year?
Angad- uh..um..yea why?
Aa- oh just because usually u guys have a party and stuff
A-oh um we aren't having one today
Aa- oh, so re you waiting for?
Angad-without turning around-Kripa and I are taking some orphans trick-or-treating
Aaliya-raising an eyebrow- Kripa?
Angad- yea
Then he told her about the food fight and punishment. By the end, Aaliya was laughing
Aa- you guyz are so funny, fighting like little kids.
She left and finally it was 6:30.
Angad went to Kripa's house who was getting really bored. When she heard the doorbell, she practically ran down and opened the door.
A- Hey!
K-out of breath- hey
A-uh, are you ok?
K- yeah I am fine, I sort of ran so I am out of breath
Angad- oh my, the things that girls do for Angad Khanna
Kripa- oh shut up
They both laughed and went "trick-or treating.
At the orphanage, they both got assigned to a group of kids.
They went out with the kids and started going door-to-door. Whenever a house didn't have candy Kripa would lead the children to another house while Angad secretly threw eggs at the windows.

He was successful until they reached one house. Now, this house was huge. It was an old mansion.

K- Its pretty dark, I don't think anyone is home there, lets go to the next house.
A- oh come on Kripa, are you scared of the dark?
K-angrily- no I am not
A- oh yes you are
K- oh no I am not
A- Prove it, go in
K-fine
She stomped up to the front stairs and rang the doorbell. No one answered. She started to knock when the door opened. She turned around, and gulped. Angad was smirking at her.
A- Go in
K- No!
A- are you scared, someone is playing a prank on you, and you are gonna back off, scared-y cat.
Kripa knew Angad was so not let her get away with this. He would bother her for the rest of her life. So, she went in. Angad was somewhat surprised. He had heard about this house being "haunted", but never believed it.

Kripa went in and the house was pretty old. She could see that the stairway had some broken steps. There were spider webs everywhere. Now, Kripa was a very adventurous girl. She had read about haunted houses in stories but never visited one in real life. So she went to explore. Sh went up the stairway and came to the first room. There she saw a bunch of spider webs and something that looked like a coffin. She freaked out and went to the next one, there were rats. She screamed and quickly shut the door.

Meanwhile, Angad was starting to wonder where Kripa was. It had been about an hour since she had been in there. He was getting really worried. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. But he was responsible for all these kids, and he couldn't leave them or take them in. So he just stood there, waiting.

Kripa entered the third room, it was pretty dark and there was no light switch. So, she just started to shut the door when she heard a sound. She opened the door a bit wider and peaked in. She remembered that she had a flashlight in her pocket. She took it out, and flashed it across the room. What she saw made her blood go cold. She tried to scream but no sound came from her mouth. A hand slowly covered her mouth.

So this is it, I know its pretty short, and I am pretty late, but I actually went trick-or-treating. I am 13, and now a little too old to trick-or-treat. Therefore, I decided it would be my last year. So, I went to a bunch of places and it took a while. Sorry for the delay! And any guesses on what Kripa saw??????
