Chapter 63

Suddenly an announcement was heard. All the students had to assemble in the auditorium.

 

The students exchanged confused glances. And slowly started proceeding towards the auditorium.

 

--In the auditorium--

 

The principal was standing on the stage with the mic in his hands.

 

Principal - Good morning students.

 

There was a dull murmur of good morning from the students. The principal wasn't satisfied.

 

Principal - I said, Good morning students.

 

The students(louder) - Good morning sir.

 

Principal - Thats more like it! Anyway, I have called you all here for an important announcement.

 

The students groaned. The "important" announcement probably meant exams.

 

The principal smiled.

 

Principal - Dont worry.Dont worry. Its not exams I am going to annouce, it's something fun.

 

The students exchanged glances.

 

Principal - I have received letter from a few of you saying that we never held excursions and something fun in our college. So I thought, why don't we hold one?

 

The students cheered.

 

The principal held up his hand to silence the students.

 

Principal - But there is a tiny problem.

 

The students groaned. The principal smiled.

 

Principal - We need to leave for the excursion tomorrow itself.

 

The students cheered.

 

Principal - I kind of expected this reaction from you guys. The notice will be put up on the notice board.

 

Principal- Oh! We will be going to a place called Lonavala, and we will be camping there for three days.

 

The students cheered louder.

 

Armaan and Rahul exchanged Hi-Fives's

 

Muskaan and Riddima groan.

 

Muskaan - I hate camping!

 

Riddima - Me too!

 

Muskaan - Dont know WHAT ALL insects we will have to battle with!

 

Riddima - Mosquitoes!

 

Muskaan - Lizards!

 

Riddima - Pesky squirrels!

 

Muskaan - Cockroaches!

 

Riddima - Why don't we just skip it?

 

Muskaan - Excellent idea!
