Chapter 10

Rahul buried his face in his hands. While Armaan stared helplessly at him.

 

Armaan – There is nothing you can do now.

 

Rahul – I guess there is one thing I can do.

 

Armaan – What is that?

 

Rahul – You will see. Can you do me a favor?

 

Armaan – Tell me.

 

Rahul – Call all the students in the auditorium. And please see to it that Muskaan comes there too.

 

Armaan grins.

 

Armaan – Right away.

 

*After an hour*

 

All the students (well most of them) gathered in the auditorium. They exchanged confused looks. Muskaan, Riddima and Trishala were there too.

 

Rahul came up on the stage holding a mic.

 

Rahul – I am sorry for wasting your time guys. But there is something important I gotta say today.

 

All the students exchange glances.

 

Rahul – I made lots of mistakes in my life. But them mistake I made recently was the worst one till date.

 

Rahul looks directly at Muskaan and Muskaan looks away.

Rahul – Muskaan. I am sorry for everything I did. Really sorry.

 

Muskaan gasps. She wasn't expecting this.

 

Rahul – I know I have hurt you. I have hurt you a lot. And I can never forgive myself for that.Never.

 

Muskaan looks away.She didn't want any apologies. Rahul sighs.

 

Rahul – Muskaan……I love you.

 

The students gasp. Trishala shrieks. Muskaan and Riddima are shocked. Someone cheered.

 

A voice from the crowd – WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS?

 

Rahul – I have never been this serious in my life. Believe me.

 

Rahul gets off the stage and walks slowly towards Muskaan. Muskaan is in a state of shock.
