Chapter 16

Part fifteen

It was 9 am… neither of them got much sleep but whatever sleep they did get, it was peaceful, anyone would say that Naina was hasty in her decisions, And Naina too thought that, in the morning while she took out what Sonali had stocked in her frigde for breakfast, she had got angry with Raj fast, taken her immature decision of leaving him fast and also got back to him faster, but for her that didn't matter, she didn't want to stretch their discussion into hours and hours, she was happy to be with him and was keen to make her relationship with him work this time, Naina as a woman would hav never forgiven Raj that easily, but Naina as a mom forgave the father of her child easily, for the sake of her child.

 she had taken away a major part of Prachi's childhood away from her, she had denied Prachi of her fathers love and somehow her decision of staying back was also bcoz she wanted to undo her mistake

Raj came out of the bathroom with Prachi, he had given her bath and got himself drenched as well, while playing with her.

"Dry yourself up first Raj, before you catch a cold"

And Raj listened to her immediately and took off his shirt and dried himself with a towel

"Naina I want to talk to you"

And Naina nodded

Raj continued

"Not that im not happy with your decision, but how did you agree to give us another chance that soon"

"Raj, I have changed a lot, I have suffered these past so many years and have given it a thought always that incase we ever met again I would try my level best to give us a second chance, people who get their true love are very very fortunate, but people who value their true love are even more fortunate"

And Raj continued

"And we never even attempted doing it, but I promise u naina tht ill definitely try and make our relationship a success"

"We'll have to Raj atleast for her sake"

"Yah atleast for Prachi's sake"

"Raj I want you to do something else too."

"And what is that?"

"I want you to go and help them at the fashion week"

"But Naina I have backed out"

"Because of me, I don't want your reputation spoilt,"

"My reputation is not going to get spoilt"

"Raj, please for my sake, don't u remember it was because of the fashion week that we ever met"

Raj gave her a thoughtful stare and then continued

"On one condition that you and Prachi come along with me"

"I will…"

And they had breakfast together and Naina and Prachi got ready and took off with Raj to his other house since he had to change

When they reached the site of the fashion show, the only thing that was evident was chaos, complete chaos and somehow Raj felt really happy to be there, they surely needed his help, Ritu suddenly came into sight and she looked hysterical, and so Raj walked upto her with Prachi in his arms and Naina by his side, ritu looked so depressed when he came upto her that she didn't even look up but then he called her

"Ritu I am here"

Ritu suddenly broke off from her trance and looked in the direction of Raj, she didn't even notice Naina

"Raj, please tell me that u r back"

"Yes I am"

"Oh Raj thank you so much"

And she suddenly went to hug him when she realized that he was carrying Prachi

"Who is this Raj"

And she suddenly spotted Naina and the whole thing clicked in her mind, she had been quite a close friend of Raj in the past 3 years but had never asked him what had happened between him and Naina until one day when he himself had told her

"Naina its so good to see you back"

And she hugged Naina

"I wish I had more time to welcome you but im really busy right now"

"I can understand Ritu"

"I hope you don't mind if Raj helps me out here, I mean I don't knw when u'll met but there must be so much to catch up on and if he is here then u'll are missing out on time together"

"Don't be silly Ritu…

But she couldn't continue as Raj started speaking

"She was the one to persuade me to come here Ritu"

"You guys continue, I can see that there is a lot to be done out here" Naina said to the both of them

"Yeah right" Ritu said

Ritu and Rajveer were working hard and Naina took Prachi around to see what was going on and remembered so many instances of hers and Raj,  luckily Prachi wasn't a very naughty kid and so kept close to Naina

Suddenly Naina felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned around to find Sonali beaming at her

"Thanks Sonali, for calling me here"

"Don't thank me Naina, thank the property dealers who came up with a problem and made up come here"(Sonali lied)

And naina suddenly became serious..

"Sonali you have done so much for me, now ill handle the situation from here, jus tell me what this property problem is all about"

"Naina, it will take me more time to tell you, so you don't worry about that at all , ill manage it all"

"Are you sure Sonali?"

"100% Naina"

On the other hand the situation was coming under control with Raj's entry, he was busy checking out the order of the entrances of the models when Amrita came upto him

"Raj I am sorry about that day"

Raj just looked at her, and knew that she was trying to hit on him again, at the very same moment he saw Naina coming around the corner and decided to give Amrita a big confirmation this time that he was not interested in her or any other woman besides his Naina and so he continued

"Its ok amrita, I overreacted too"

She took this as a good sign and put a hand of hers on his shoulder in an attempt to entice him

"Raj I was wondering if you could shift my position to somewhere in the middle"

Raj considered for a moment and said

"Sorry amrita, today is the main event and I cant to that"

Amrita looked completely angry and dejected and looked completely scary when raj introduced her to Naina

"Amrita hold on a moment"

Amrita had tried with all her patience to put on a straight face but knew she was failing and turned back to see Raj's arm around this lady's shoulder

"Meet Naina, my to be wife"

Naina gave her a small smile which Amrita did not return and just walked off

"Whats with her?"

Naina asked Raj

But he simply nodded and said

When Amrita came back she saw a smirking Sonali waiting over there and Sonali said

"Didn't I tell you not to hit on him"

"Sonali, will you shut up, iam paying you to work for me and not to give me lectures"

"I think I did you a major favour by working for u Amrita"

"and what do you mean by that?"

"I mean that woman like you spend more time trying to impress influential men than on your work, wish you would put as much trouble in your work, you wouldhv done so well by now"

"O h just shut up, and its none of your business to look into what I am doing"

"Amrita, talking to you is like banging my head on a stone, so I rather not tell you anything, I just wanted to say that im resigning"

Amrita looked at her shocked

"Why?"

"There are 2 reasons, no 1 Naina is back, no 2 I don't appretiate working with anyone who doesn't respect me"

"Ok fine, you can leave right now"

"Amrita its not in my nature to leave people when I hav promised to help them, ill leave you only after the fashion week"

After that fashion show that night they drove home to Raj's flat

Naina lay Prachi on the bed and took off her shoes and stroked her hair lovingly

"why did you leave our house Raj?"

"Because the walls of that house were eating me up"

"So have you sold it??"

"How could i? I couldn't  sell off that house, the house in which we had so many memories, I know most of them were not pleasant but yet it was memories of ours"

Naina had tears in her eyes  after hearing this

And so Raj walked up to her and said

"Naina the time for tears is over, now its going to be only happiness"

And Naina couldn't help but agree, the worst part of their life was over and they were fortunate to get a chance to live their life again
