Chapter 40

Kripa places a hand on his arm, Angad glances at her and lets the doctor go, he sits down with Kripa and takes her hand into his, 2 hours later, Angad watches as the doctor stands before them awaiting news of his father.....

5 Years later

Kripa craddles the baby girl in her arms and holds her small fingers as she sleeps, Kripa looks in the mirror and notices Angad standing by the door

K - you're home, how was work?

A - tiring, how's Esha?

K - sleeping

Angad walks towards Kripa and takes Esha from her and craddles her in his arms

A - she looks like me

K - no like me

A - yeah ok, she has your nose but thats it

K - my nose? oh shut up Angad

Angad smiles and places Esha in her cot then takes Kripa into his arms and gives her a kiss on her cheek

A - I missed you

K - you too, lets go before she wakes, I need sleep Angad, I haven't slept properly in 3 months since giving birth to her

Angad and Kripa creep out of the room and shut the door slightly, they head downstairs where Lakshya is wrestling with a small boy while a small girl watches. Angad and Kripa sit on the sofa together and watch as Kashish comes into the room and picks up the young girl

Kas - come on Priya, time for your bath

P - no not yet!

S - you heard your mom, go upstairs now

Sujal gives Priya a small kiss then sits by Angad and Kripa

S - where's Esha?

A - sleeping

S - already? she slept before

K - thats what babies do, sleep and eat and cry and oh well you know, you have a 4 year old daughter after all

Angad glances at the door and sees Kavya

Ka - Krish stop beating your chachu up

Kr - but I'm winning!

Ka - well that's enough

Kavya picks up Krish and carries him outside while Lakshya stands by Anjali

L - man your 3 year old does a lot of damage

An - Lakshya!

L - sorry

Lakshya gives her a peck on her cheek

An - don't you have someone upstairs waiting to bought downstairs?

L - huh? oh....yeah I'll be back in a second

Lakshya runs upstairs and soon comes back downstairs hand in hand with KT, the two had met again after the party, and after Lakshya had explained the dare they both got to know each other very well and recently got married.

K - KT come sit

Kripa makes some space and KT sits by her and then Anjali pulls Angad up and sits in his place, Angad begins to argue with her when Naina comes

N - now now Angad don't trouble her

A - she took my seat

N - oh grow up for heavens sake, and besides she's pregnant

A - yeah yeah

L - bhai I think you're forgetting who made everyone get off the couch when Kripa bhabhi was pregnant

Angad blushes and smacks Lakshya's arm

L - oi not in front of my wife

A - KT I don't understand how you decided to marry this guy, he's impossible to live with

L - just be quiet bro

Kripa stands up and gives Lakshya a little kiss making Angad feel jealous, she then goes into the kitchen to make some food when she hears crying

K - Angad! get Esha!

A - does't she ever sleep.....

Angad goes upstairs and opens the door to his room slightly, he glances at the photo of Dilip on the wall before placing a hand on his father's shoulder

A - she's awake again

D - she's a baby, now hold her I think she needs changing

A - sure

Angad takes Esha from Dilip and takes her to the bathroom, after he changes her he heads downstairs where Kripa and his sister in laws are in the kitchen, his brothers in the living room and their kids playing on the floor, he looks into the lounge and sees Dilip and Naina hugging, he stands by the door and clears his throat

A - child under 1 here

N - she's too young to understand

D - yeah, give her here

A - I assure you, if she's anything like Priya, she'll be fast to understand

Angad hands Esha to Naina before rushing into the kitchen and pulling Kripa out into the hall

A - this house isn't big enough

K - why? what do you have in mind?

A - lets go away for a while, you, me and Esha

K - you do know the minute we say we're going to go, something will come up

Angad hugs Kripa from behind

A - well I have a solution, lets not tell anyone

K - how will that work?

A - you tell mom that you're taking Esha to the park or something, I'll make something up, we both leave at the same time

K - won't they notice the car gone?

A - .....ok then.....we'll go by coach

K - I don't know.....

A - please Kripa....please, please please

K - ok ok ok

A - good

Angad kisses her cheek before running upstairs. The next day, Kripa is in the kitchen with Anjali, Angad comes and pretends to look for something in the cupboards, when he sees Anjali to to the living room, he runs to Kripa

A - everything is set, the coach leaves at 3

K - but there's so much work

A - no! you can't back out now!

K - fine, I'll think of something

A - good girl

Angad moves away from her when he sees Anjali coming back, he gives Kripa a thumbs up then leaves the room, later Kripa is putting Esha in her stroller when Naina comes

N - where are you going?

K - erm, just for a walk with Esha

N - oh ok then, come back soon

K - sure mom

Kripa puts on her coat and leaves the house, she goes down the street where Angad is waiting at the corner with a backpack

K - is that all we're taking?

A - I have money Kripa, we'll buy some things

K - and we're are we going to put them things? in that small bag?

A - of course not, we'll buy a bigger bag of course

Angad and Kripa walk to the coach station, Angad takes out the tickets

K - where to?

A - London, I figured we'd go see your brother while we're there

K - ok, lets go

Angad and Kripa get on the coach with Esha while Angad holds the stroller, he puts it in the compartment and sits by Kripa and watches as Esha sucks her fingers

A - how about, while we're there, we plan for another one?

K - is that all you think about?

A - ....yeah

K - Angad!

Angad smiles and kisses her cheek, he notices something and nudges Kripa

K - what?

A - that girl

K - don't you have any shame, talking about another girl in front of your wife and daughter?

A - shut up, look at her, she looks a bit like you

Kripa looks forward and sees a teenage girl with short hair, wearing a denim jacket, jeans and carrying a backpack, she looks for an empty seat and finds one, she goes past Kripa and Angad as she sits down in the seat in the row next to Angad and Kripa's

A - remember something?

K - yeah....who's next to her?

A - some guy.....

Angad and Kripa lean to the side a bit to hear the conversation

guy - hmmm typical runaway girl

girl - what?

guy - backpack, rushed to get on the coach, constantly looking back....typical of someone who runs away from home

girl - just shut up

Angad and Kripa look at them and smile, Angad puts his arm around Kripa while Kripa rests her head on his shoulder

A - what do you know, history does repeat itself.

K - if it does, then they'll meet again and fall in love, like we did

A - just like we did

Angad kisses Kripa's forehead as the coach leaves the station, Angad hears his phone ringing, he takes it out and sees "HOME" flashing on the screen

A - looks like they found out we ran away

Angad looks at Kripa but sees she's sleeping, he smiles to himself then glances at the guy and girl next to him and closes his eyes.

coming up - nothing

ahhhh how did you like it? I thought this was the perfect ending, a full circle you may say. This has been my best fanfic, i think, apart from She Loves Him. I loved writing it and i'm pretty sure from the response, you all loved reading it. Not that sad its ended as I'll have more coming up, I'll post the first part to IKK-GenX tomorrow, if i'm free and I'll try do DKD aswell, and once that's done I'll have my new one up, but thats another story. Give comments as usual no "great part" or "great fanfic" I want feedback on what u thought of the fanfic in its entirity.
