Suhaag raat
After some more rituals like bidai and other things everyone headed to respective houses. Angad and Kripa reached Angad's house along with all Khanna family and relatives.
Naina made Kripa to do 'Gruhapravesh" by pouring rice on the floor and wetting her feet in the color (kumkum) water and laying footsteps on the floor.
After some refreshments Kripa's friends brought a big silver pot shape bowl with red color water. They took rings from Angad and Kripa and dropped them in the bowl. They asked to take out them "chalo dekhtey hai who will win"
Angad and Kripa looked into their eyes and Kripa's heartfelt heavy thinking what wicked act could Angad do now. Everyone started singing some wedding songs to cheer the new couple. Angad put his hand into the water bowl to get the rings and Kripa is forced to put hers. Angad caught her fingers in the bowl and started squeezing. Kripa pleaded with eyes not to embarrass her but Angad ignored and held her fingers tightly. Kripa lowered her face to hide her red cheeks from guests. Everyone observed it as it is expected from every new couple all the time but they ignored and continued cheering them. Aaliyah felt pity of Kripa and squeezed Angad's ear "Angad! We are going to leave you both alone soon in the night. Can you please continue searching for the ring and proceed further?" Harshini immediately took her words "Haan, Angad! We have many more other games. You get more opportunities to tease your wife."
Angad pressed Kripa's fingers another last time and took both rings with his hand. Kripa angrily looked at him for cheating. He grabbed her right hand with his left and placed both rings in her hand. He stretched his hands for her to put the ring. Kripa pouted her lips and gave his ring to him instead of wearing to his finger. Angad smiled and put the ring on his own.
Naina and other older ladies became busy with other things and arrangements for next morning for the Satyanarayan puja, the very first prayers the new couple religiously offer.
Aaliyah took Kripa into Angad's room and Kripa is excited to see her old house from his balcony and checked the distance between two balconies remembering Angad's daring jump to fetch their first kiss.
Dilip and Naina surprised to know that Kripa used to live in neighboring house and shocked to know she is the girl behind Angad and Prithvi's debar from college. "Pehley kehna tha Angad!" Naina complained. "Kyon Mom! Kripa is innocent. Waisey hi Dadi wants her to be my wife and I .." he stopped seeing into Kripa's eyes. Kripa felt guilty and Aaliyah covered as it is Angad's then mischievous behavior.
Around 6 in the evening Kripa and Angad were informed separately about their first night. Angad whined in front of Aaliyah and Shabbir for arranging in the house. Aaliyah told that it's Naina's sentiment. Angad wants to take Kripa far from everyone. Shabbir convinced him to go for it as there is no way he could avoid and win in front of Naina's 'zid'.
After dinner Kripa is taken into Naina's room to dress up for the event. Angad is waiting in his room got call from Misthy around 8. "Magar hua kya Misthy? Why are you going so suddenly?...kab huva tha?..I'm coming right now" He left for airport to meet Misthy.
All are busy at home and dint notice him leaving. Angad reached airport and shocked to see Misthy with bandages all over her hand and legs. She wore jeans and a front open floral print shirt and sat in the wheel chair. A female nurse stood beside her to help her. Misthy got into serious accident two days before Angad's wedding and admitted into the hospital. Her right hand and left leg fractured and put the cement bandage. She is going back to her house In London as she needs atleast two months rest. She is afraid if her neck also has some eventual problems. She doesn't trust the doctors in India and wanted to go back as soon as possible.
"I was thinking why you dint attend my wedding. You should have informed me" Angad sat with her till her flight took off. "You are thinking about me in your wedding?" Misthy doubtfully asked. Angad smiled "I met all friends and wondered what happened to you for not attending my wedding. That's all."
He helped her to get something to eat, drink and bought some books to read in the flight."If You have told me before I would have accompanied you till London or make you stay here. At this last moment I don't know what to do."Angad complained for which she laughed and reassured she will be fine.
Kripa is placed in Angad's bed. She wore white with red border banaras sari with matching ruby set. Aaliyah teased her, "You are looking like a Venus. Aaj Angad toh gaya kaam se. Dekhtey hai yeh beautiful chehrey par kitney love bruses hongey. Na Na karkey pya kardala bechara." Kripa blushed "Aaliyah! Tum bhi na, bus karo." Aaliyah kissed her forehead "Mujhey bhi shadi ki jaldi horahi hai tumhey aisi dekh kar." Kripa laughed "Toh kardalo, abb Angad ki shadi toh jaldi kardi."
Dadi came and gave some important tips of happy married life and blessed Kripa and took Aaliyah out.
Kripa smiled at the way they left and checked Angad's room.
Around 1:30 early hours Misthy checked in for her flight. Angad gave important tips of care and bid goodbye. Misthy wished him happy married life and went through her security check along with the helper. Angad checked his mobile to notice more than ten missed calls. He switched of his mobile on purpose in the airport as he expected calls from home as it was his first night. "First night!! Wo bhi ghar mein!! God, kya baat karunga ussey aur how could I face Kripa? I need privacy totally far from this atmosphere."
Kripa walked into Angad's balcony worrying about him."Abhi tak aaya kyon nahin? Lagta hai ghar mein toh nahin hai. What would have happened? I want to call him but kaisey? Does he really like me?" she remembered his pranks in the wedding and blushed herself. She sat in the swing remembering their past in the college while waiting for him. Around 12:30 she couldn't stop falling asleep and switched off the light to get into bed.
Angad called Shabbir on the way back "God Damn It! Kahan ho tum? We were worried like hell." Shabbir yelled.
Angad hesitantly updated about his being with Misthy and apologized for switching off the mobile.
"Do you have any brain? Arey aaj tumhara first night tha aur wahan bechari Kripa tumhari intezaar karti rahi. Kya sochengi wo aur tumhara gharwaley? Everyone knows you are against the marriage but watching you last two days we thought you are changing. And how would Kripa face them when you don't turn up."
Angad bear all his scolds patiently "I didn't do anything on purpose. It just happened and when I saw Misthy I couldn't leave her alone. She is my friend, after all. I should be with her when she met accident. Yeh sab chodo. Jo hogaya wo hoagaya. Can you be there in the house for me? Please, I can't face them."
Shabbir agreed after Angad pleading several times.
Dadi scold Angad too "Humey bata deta Shabbir ko aur kissi ko bej deta. Yeh kya sharafat huyi?"
Angad apologized everyone and walked into his room. He closed the doors behind him and looked at Kripa sleeping like an innocent baby. He walked to the bed and bent on her to kiss her forehead. He feather touched her cheeks and walked into bathroom to freshen. He didn't want to disturb Kripa's deep sleep and relaxed in the sofa apologizing Kripa in his mind.
Morning 5:
Kripa woke up and felt bad for Angad sleeping in the couch. :"Bechara aaj hi shadi huvi and happened to sleep in the couch." She smiled for her thinking and walked into bathroom to freshen.
She came back after shower with tender green leaf color silk sari with purple border and checked herself in the mirror. She took sindoor given by Naina the night before and put in her mang. She caressed her mangalsutra and turned looks on Angad. He is still in deep sleep folding his hands. She felt like caressing his hair and kiss on his cheeks.
She set her bed and walked to him and kneeled down his side. He opened his eyes as he felt some one beside him. He turned his half opened eyes to Kripa and opened them wide. He got up suddenly "hmm..wo..sorry..Kripa!..wo kya hai ki.." Kripa stopped him in mid sentence "it's okay Angad. I don't need any explanation. Go and sleep on your bed. You can have an hour or two to sleep more. Aaj Satyanarayan puja hai. I'll wake you up later." She smiled and turned without waiting for his response.
He grabbed her hand "Thanks for understanding. Actually Misthy met an accident so I went to airport to see off her to London. It got late night 3, by the time I reached home and I dint want to disturb you." He explained fast without giving any pause in the middle as he felt Kripa mistook him as he avoided her.
Kripa felt bad "OH sorry, Angad! I thought.. Kaire..no problem. Take a nap for some more time. Mujhey jaana hai" Before her finishing sentence there was a knock on the door "Kripa! Utho beti, Puja ki waqt horahi hai" Dadi's voice heard. Kripa smiled and turned to Angad and changed to his grip on her hand. Angad unknowingly left the hand and she left.
Around 8 puja started. Angad and Kripa finished the prayers religiously and took blessing from everyone. Kripa became busy with small group of visitors from neighbourhood.
Angad wanted to take Kripa out in the evening but Dadi and Naina refused to send her"Aaj tum donon ka pehla puja hai aur tum donon alag rehna hai. Milna ashubh mana jaata hai"
Angad irritated for stupid sentiments but couldn't say anything against them. He spit out his frustration in front of Shabbir and Aaliyah in the bar. Aaliyah left after few minutes as she was asked to give company to Kripa today.
Angad reached home around 10 and Kripa spent night in Dadi's room.
