Chapter 14:

The next morning with a calm expression I walked into the police station; surprised to find a man in my office, looking away from me. "Excuse me?" I asked slightly alarmed; was this that same man I had seen yesterday, but something told me it was Akash. I sighed, "hi Akash, how are you?" he turned towards me surprised, "how'd you know it was me, when I didn't even turn around?" I smiled at him slightly thinking I love you, I know its you just by listening to your heartbeats, but blurted out, "we are friends, and plus I know you too well; and its such a pain!" I laughed freely moving towards my desk to grab any new files.

"You know Manya, I love you! You've always been there whenever I needed you; and plus I have some good news for you, I just need your company so much that I eventually transformed to this very police station! How'd you like my idea?" Akash's voice rang through my ears. I stared back at him dumbfounded, perhaps having him around was going to be a bad idea. "A…ugh Akash its good to see you; and that's great news, now I have to see your face for so long…how will I ever survive!" I rolled my eyes and dragged the last bit.

He frowned and narrowed his eyes, "that was so nice of you!" he spoke sarcastically. I laughed and pulled him into a carefree hug. "you're a dork!" I spoke and let loose of him. He laughed and walked a few steps away towards a certain file. "Manya, welcome to our first case!" he grinned widely.

I turned towards him and waited for the information to sink in; that was impossible, the first case I would ever have was related to me, I was to be murdered sometime soon. But who was after me? "Manya, do you think you can do this, are you capable of going through this?" I glanced up at him carefully as Akash spoke to me; and nodded slightly. "I'm fine Akash, I can go through this!" my voice echoed throughout the police station with confidence.

"Mission Sharma, here I come!" I muttered to myself and walked out the door towards my car. "Ready, let's go?" I nodded and proceeded to get into the car when something distracted me. I stopped and turned to look at him stopping him seconds before he put the key in place. He froze, as I dropped to my knees and looked under the car. The beeping increasing rapidly, and there under the car attacked to the inside of my car was a bomb. I froze, my voice refusing to come out. "Akash! Get the hell out of the car!" I screamed at him. "what happened Manya?" I screamed back, "there is a damn bomb in the car, get everyone out of here and quickly call a specialist!"

He nodded and pulled away from the car, dialing a specialist and managed to get everyone fifty feet away from the car. "damn!" I mutter to myself after glancing at the time remaining on the bomb. This was it. My end but I had to do something, I couldn't just leave this car here in the middle of nowhere near a nearby school, now could I? I couldn't drive the darn thing either if I tried to, if I turn the key slightly, the car would explode, so what am I supposed to do? Fidgeting with the wires, I began pulling out the white one; quickly I cut it in half and feel the beeping stop moments later. Taking in a deep breath I move away and find Akash and the special crew staring at me surprised and alarmed.

"What?" I question them; but instead they stare back dumfounded. "Manya, that was a dangerous alarm, you have no special information and you don't know the basics of bombs, and yet you managed to diffuse one so dangerous?" I stared at him, my eyes narrowing. "Thanks for the compliment!" I mutter to him before getting up and walking away. Just five paces away I heard him laugh; I muttered curses to myself as I walked towards my office.

"Hey beautiful? How are you today?" I stared dumbfounded at my phone, who the heck was this fool calling me? Growling just a teed bit, I shut the phone on him, and headed towards the taxi, jumping in and off for home. Just as I stepped through the door, it rang yet once again. "Hello?" I questioned; slightly surprised someone would call at 11 o'clock at night and that too my home. "Hey beautiful, how come you didn't talk to me earlier? I missed you, your beautiful smile, the way you roll your eyes, very gorgeous.." I cut the phone on the creepy man and walked towards my room to take another shower, and call it a night.

The next morning, I walked out of my office, towards Akash only to find a tall man leaning casually by the constable. "Gorgeous, I missed you, please one date, just one date, and let me feel complete…your eyes are very beautiful, they make me want to loose myself in them…I love you!" I rolled my eyes while he speaks his well written speech out towards me, well rather poorly written speech; and stop suddenly just five feet away from him. I turn abruptly and glare at him; that was it! He had burned my fuse; I rushed towards him, grabbed him by the collar and through him into the cellar! "Oye, gorgeous I know you want to keep me locked up, but babe I have better places to be locked up in mind than this one! I'm all yours, you don't really need to lock me up here to stare at my gorgeous face!" I glare at him, anger rising to the tip of my nose. That was it I had enough.

"Next time you stalker, you decide to call my house, my cell phone, or this police station, I promise you, you will get worse of just being locked up!" I spoke coldly to him, surprisingly I sounded more dangerous. "Baby, I'm all yours, all you have to do is come near me!" I frown and walk away red with anger. "Ma'am, I think you are mistaken, he can't be whom you are talking about!" the constable nearby mutters. "I'll prove it to you!" I said and took out my phone, dialing the previous number that had called me last night! His phone rang; all turned to stare at him suddenly alarmed. Perhaps, this wasn't a great idea for all of us in here.

"sorry!" he screamed from a far, "but I still love you babe!" I froze, turned around and walked towards my office trying to calm my system down.

Hours later….he walked in and my doom…dressed in black, a gold chain, a gold bracelet and light brownish hair on his ugly face….I sighed welcome you fool, just what I need…
