1. Growing Comforts of Intimacy

It was yet another Saturday and since Saturdays meant only half days ie morning drills only the cadets were excited to step out and refreshen themselves up before the got back to the coming weeks training.

The mess was buzzing with talks and plans that the cadets were making on how they would spend their Saturday. And finally it was decided that they would go for a movie. But one person in particular seemed to be getting irritated of all the chaos in the miss and that was none other than..... Cadet Dr. Monami Mahajan.

The trainers entered the mess and the chaos and buzzing settled down.

'Haa bhai ka decide hogo tumlogo ke beech. Kaunsa naya udham failaane waalo ho tum jhingoor aaj?' Sanju asked on Karan and Faizi's behalf.

'What does this ud...udhan mean?' Sid asked a little perplexed on the new word used by his beloved Sanju.

'Arrey Sid woh udhan nahi udham hota hai matlab bawal.' Sumanji explained to Sid, but instead of his confusion getting solved his confusion grew.

'And what does this bawal mean?' Sid asked his eyebrow srunched in confusion.

'Sid, bawal matlab chaos.' Monami replied exasperated at her best friend's Hindi vocabulary.

'Ohh chaos....no Sanju I mean ma'am hum koi chaos nahi karne waale hai hum toh aaj Movie dekhenge.' Sid declared and the cadets nodded in unison.

'Sumanji keh rahi hai aap log bhi chaliye na.' Sumanji said pointing at the trainers.

'Haa haa kyu nahi ek kaam karte hai movie dekhte hai aur phir bahar se dinner kar lete hai.' Faizi suggested and Karan and Sanju agreed to him.

'Guys aap log jaiye mai nahi aaungi.' Monami said standing up.

'# Why Monami?' Chitra asked.

'Haa Dr. madam aap kyu nahi aayengi?' Bala asked.

'Woh mujhe theek nahi lag raha hai.' Monami said and was soon ambushed by 2 men who touched her forehead and neck to check whether she had fever or not.

Sid and Karan looked at each other and sighed a sigh of relief when Monami had no fever.

Monami and Karan's relationship was official. But they wouldn't tease the couple and even if they did one glare from their head trainer and they would shut up. Also when they had made their relationship official Karan had warned his namoones that they shouldn't trouble his Rani Saheba by their unnecessary teasing sessions or they would face the wrath of Special Agent Karan Shergill.

'Arrey Monu tujhe bhukhaar toh nahi hai lekin.' Sid said while Karan nodded his head in agreement at Sid's statement.

'I know Sid mujhe fever nahi hai lekin mujhe head ache ho raha hai, kal raat mai cold aur cough ke wajah se I couldn't sleep isliye headache ho raha hai.' Monami whined with a pout on her face.

Monami never liked being sick with cold and cough as they always lead to sleepless nights. And those sleepless nights would give her headaches the next day.

'Aisi baat hai toh Monami aaj ka plan rehne dete hai.' Sumanji said and all seemed to agree with it.

'Arrey nahi nahi Sumanji aap log meri wajah se plan cancel mat kariye please. Aap log please enjoy kijiye nhito mujhe guilty feel hoga. I insist.' Monami tried to convince them.

'Haa Monu theek keh rahi hai, guys aap log jaiye mai rehta hu Monu ke saath.' Sid said

'Nahi Sid mai theek hu bas thoda sa head ache hai mai theek ho jaunga tu jaa enjoy kar.' Monu pleaded to her best friend.

'Par Monu tujhe theek nahi-' Sid said but was cut off by Karan's phone ringing.

He picked up the call the greeted, 'Jai Hind Batra Sir' and excused himself to attend the call. He returned in a few minutes.

'Kya hua Karan koi problem?' Faizi asked

'Arrey nahi koi problem nahi actually Batra sir ko cadets ki progress files chahiye. Toh unhone mujhe bulaya hai, I don't know kitna time lagega isliye mai toh nahi aa paunga.' Karan said.

'Ek kaam karo tumlog, Faizi Sanju inn sab ko bahar movie ke liye lekar jau aur phir dinner ke liye bhi, mai academy mai hi hu toh Monami ka dhyaan rakh lunga.' Karan said.

'Agar Karan sir hai toh mujhe Monu ki koi fikr nahi hai guys the movie is still on.' Sid said and the other agreed.

'Mai chalta hu Batra sir raah dekh rahe honge. Faizi Sanju khayal rakhiyo inka.' Karan said before leaving.

'Chal Monami tu kamre mai aaram kar.' Sanju told to Monami and turned towards the cadets, 'Saare jhingoor adhe ghanta mai humme academy ke bahar milo.' and they all left to get ready.

'Monu you sure tu theek hai, I know dole shole bro is there but still....' Sid asked concerned for his Monu bro.

'Haa Sid thoda rest karungi and I'll be fine.' Monami assured her bff.

'Acha theek hai chal take care, love you.' Sid said before taking Monu in a bug bear hug and kissing her head.

'Love you too Sid.' Monami smiled at him and they left for their rooms.

The cadets had left for the movie and Karan was done with his meeting with Batra sir it was nearly 3:30 in the afternoon. He had had his lunch with Batra sir while discussion and had asked Dilbaghji if Monami had had her lunch to which the answer was yes. Now he went to his room and changed into his red hoodie white t-shirt and black tracks and made his way into the mess.

Coffee had always helped him with headaches so he decided to whip up some coffee for Monami was well to sooth with her headache.

He got the coffee done and placed the mugs in a tray and left for Monami's room. He entered the room and found her turning and twisting in the bed. Certainly the headache was making it difficult for her to rest so he quietly entered the room and closed the door ajar.

He kept the coffee on the study table and moved towards Monami.

'Monami' he said softly while caressing her hair.

'Karan tum yaha? Tumhaari meeting hogayi?' she asked while turning to face him.

'Haa hogayi meri meeting chalo get up I have got some coffee for you it will help with your headache.' Karan said and helped Monami sit up a little and later proceeded to get the coffee.

They sat and sipped on the coffee in silence. The comfortable silence and the soothing coffee fragrance that floated in the room made the ambience light and calming. Soon enough they completed the coffee and Karan kept the empty mugs back in the tray.

'Thank you for the coffee khadoos Shergill.' Monami whispered. Karan just smiled at her and adjusted her blanket and ran his hand over her locks of hair.

'Chalo sleep a little it'll help.' Karan whispered while he continued to run his fingers through her hair.

'Neend nahi aarahe Karan, headaches have never let me sleep well.' Monami complained.

Karan thought for a while and an idea struck his mind.

'Monami if you don't mind mai ek baat suggest karu?' Karan asked her

'Bolo na Karan....' 

'Would you fall asleep if I gave you a massage? Only if you are comfortable.' Karan asked carefully.

Monami was shocked and in awe of her Khadoos Shergill, definitely she had taken many first steps in their relationship like hand holds, hugs, cheek pecks but this was her Karan taking a first step in their relationship for the first time ever. And she couldn't help but crack a smile.

'Sure Karan I would be grateful and Sid ke baad mai tumhaare saath sabse zyada comfortable hu.' Monami said while giving him an assuring smile.

Karan smiled at her reply and asked Monami to gently shift ahead so he could sit behind her.

As they got comfortable with the position with Karan leaning in a half sitting position taking the support of the head rest and Monami's back laying against Karan's chest. Her head on his chest and she was nearly sleeping in Karan's lap. The position didn't feel awkward whatsoever it felt so comfortable to them. 

And that was the power of trust and level of comfort they shared.

Karan slowly started massaging with his fingers on her scalp and gradually moved towards her forehead. The movements of the massage soothed Monami a lil and slowly she fell asleep to Karan's fingers working magic on her scalp and forehead and listening to Karan's rhythmic heartbeats.

Karan noticed that Monami had fallen asleep and he place a kiss on her forehead and he continued to massage her forehead and draw patterns to sooth her.

Slowly enough it was evening and Karan woke up, he checked his mobile to see the time and if was 8 in the evening. He decided to wake Monami up for dinner and then she could go back to sleep.

'Monami.....Rani saheba get up chalo dinner kar lo and wapas so jaana.' He called her out ever so softly. 

Monami slowly opened her eyes and looked at Karan.

'Ab kaisa feel ho raha hai, feeling a lil better?' Karan enquired. 

'Haa subah se better feel ho raha hai slight headache hai lekin woh theek hojaayega.' Monami said getting up. 

'Hmmm....chalo freshen up and dinner karlo and go back to sleep aankho mai neend abhi bhi hai kal subah tak you will be fine.' Karan said soothingly.

They freshened up and had their dinner in the mess, after that they took a lil stroll in the lawn so that the cool fresh air would help Monami feel fresh. Karan had called Faizi to ask about their whereabouts and they would return in a few hrs was the reply.

Karan and Monami returned back to Monami's room and Karan made Monami lay down in her bed covering her. 

He dropped a kiss on her forehead and wished her good night and turned to leave when Monami held his wrist. He turned around to her and raised his eyebrows in question.

' I wanna cuddle with you and sleep. Pleaseee.' Monami said with puppy eyes.

Karan just shook his head in admiration of his drama queen and sat besides her on the bed.

Monami moved herself towards him and placed her head on his chest right where his heart lies. He slowly started caressing her hair and she fell asleep.

Later at night when the Sanu, Sid and Faizi arrived at Monami and Sanju's room they were met with an adorable sight. Monami was sleeping with her head on Karan's chest her arms around him snuggling closer to him. And Karan's hand lay securely on her head and the other one around her shoulders. Sid silently took a pic of them and decided to get it framed for them.

So here was my first attempt at an OS hope you guys liked it.....

This idea came into my mind when I was watching the movie Chup, where in Danny soothes and calms a panicking Nila to sleep....if you haven't seen the movie do watch it it's just tooo good.
