Chapter 22

They finish up their meal, Aditya insists on paying for everyone's meals and after a little bit of persuasion, everyone agrees. They were getting ready to get on the bus when it starts pouring making them all run towards the shelter of the dhaba, "Yaar bin mausam barish ko bhi abhi hona tha?" Abhay whines making Sneha snort, "Haan na, barish ki yeh jurrat ki tujse bina permission liye barasgyi?" she replies making Abhay pout and Taani chuckle while Adi just shakes his head. 

"Baba, ab is barish me gadi chalana thoda risky hoga uper se dhaba wala bol rha ki news me keh rhe ki yeh barish raat tak shayad tak rukegi nai" Driver says walking towards Aditya, making Adi look towards Taani who is looking a bit worried, "Hum time pe Jodhpur pahoch toh jayenge na?" she asks, "Bas 10 ghante ka hi safar he, zyada se zyada hum kal noon tak toh pahoch hi jayenge, tum tension mat karo" Aditya says making Taani relax a bit , "Umm bus 30km chal sakti he kya?" Taani asks making Swayam look at her with a knowing look, "30km pe kya he?" Sharon asks, "We have a small farmhouse there, waha pe raat tak ruk sakte he, yaha se zyada comfortable bhi honge?" Swayam says in a questioning tone looking towards Taani. 

Making Taani nod, "Yaar tera farmhouse bhi he?" Bharat asks making Swayam shake his head, "Taani ka farmhouse he, chachu ne banwaya tha, anyways bhaiya chala loge 30km?" He asks looking at the driver, driver answers yes. The rest of the gang and Aditya, Sneha and Abhay agree as well.

The driver runs in the rain and brings the bus closer to the gang so they don't get too wet in the rain, they all quickly get in the bus and take a seat, Swayam walks over to the driver and seats next to him to give him better direction and also calls the caretaker of the farmhouse to let him know that they are coming.

Taani is shivering a little next to Adi making him wrap his arms around her and rubbing her arms as there are no blankets or warm clothes to warm her up, "Better?" He asks when he notices her shivering has stopped, Taani nods and snuggles more into his arms, Rey who was noticing this from behind a few seats has a small sad smile on his face.

"Kya soch rhe ho Rey?" Sharon asks touching Rey's arm.

"Use kisi aur ki baahon me dekh rha hoon, woh kitni khush he na uske sath? Me kabhi use itna khush kar hi nai paya" Rey says with so much pain that Sharon's eyes get misty as well seeing her best friend in so much pain. "Log sach kehte the yaar, pyaar tumhe devdas bana hi deta he" Rey says with a laugh trying to hide is grief, Sharon just hugs him and he hugs her back. "You will be fine, you will be fine" she mutters while hugging him.

They reach the farmhouse, the rain is pouring heavily and the roads have gotten a little foggy making it unsuitable to drive. They all get down and run towards the main do, which is open and a couple is standing there, waiting for them. 

Taani walks over to them, "Gopal bhaiya, Leela bhabhi, kese ho aap log?" she asks, "Arey hum badhiya he bibi per aap log jaldi se ander aake kapde padal lo warna bimar pad jaoge" Gopal says, making Leela nod in agreement, "Haan Bibiji mene aapka aur Swayam baba room saaf kar liya he, aap log jao hum saman le aate he aapka" 

Everyone walks in, "Not bad bhabhi, dahej me farmhouse la rhe ho aap?" Abhay says checking out the house from inside, making Adi snort and shake his head, "Baate baadme karna pehle Bhai ke sath jao or change karlo" Taani says with a smile and directs the rest of the girls towards her room.

The girls in Taani's room, "Adi kaafi sweet kind he na?" Neha asks Taani, making her look at her in surprise, "Haan?" she says a bit questioningly, not knowing what else to say, "Arey pura sweetheart type he, haina Taani? Esa hi kuch bol rhi thi na tum kuch dino pehle?" Sneha says teasingly making Taani blush and glare at her, "Esa kab kaha mene? Huh?", "Achcha toh nai he woh sweetheart types?" Sneha says making Taani smack her on her arm, "Esa bhi nai kaha he mene" she replies back jokingly making Sneha awww while Sharon smiles a little sadly, happy for Taani who seems to have moved on and is happy but sad for her best friend who is still in love with Taani. "I am happy for you Taani, so is Swayam and even Rey" Sharon says walking towards Taani, "And I am really sorry for what me and Rey did to you" Sharon apologizes.

Taani touches her hand, "I won't say its okay, but thank you, for saying sorry and also for coming to be a part of my happiness", "Sharon do you really have to apologize? What you and Rey did was for Taani's own betterment-" Simmi gets cut off NY Sneha, "Taani ka big moment he and me kuch zyada bolke kisika mood kharab nai karna chahti but let me just remind you that Taani koi bachchi nai he and woh khudki betterment ke liye khud decide kar sakti he, anyways let's all go down, guys might be waiting for us" Sneha says, Sharon shakes her head at Simmi, telling her not to say anything more, they all go down.

Adi is talking on phone near the staircase, Taani walks over to him, the guys sitting on the sofa, most of them on their phones, the girls join their respective partners and friends, "Haan mom, I will let you know jese hi hum yaha se nikalte he" Adi says before hanging up.

"Waha kesi he barish?" Taani asks, "Waha toh nai he thankfully, yaha bhi kuch ghanto me ruk jayegi according to the news" he replies making Taani nod.

"Coffee pini he muje" Taani says, "Muje bhi man toh kar rha he, kya karen?" Adi says pulling Taani towards him, "Kya kya karen, banado na aap" she says poutingly and willingly goes into his arms forgetting everyone else in the room.

"BHAI MERE LIYE BHI" Abhay shouts making everyone look at him startled, Taani jumps in Adi's arms scared, Sneha smacks Abhay on his head, "mere kaan ke parde faadne ki kya zarurat thi?" She says glaring at him, "Sorry woh ese hi... Coffee ke liye excited ho gaya tha" Abhay says looking sheepishly at everyone while Adi just sighs.

"Sabko coffee chalegi?" He asks looking at the gang, everyone nods, "Arey bhaiya aap rehne doh, me bana deti hoon" Leela says walking in from the kitchen, "Gharke damad se thodi coffee banwayenge", hearing this Rey feels a little weird and so does Swayam, "Arey bhabhi yeh na bahot achchi coffee banate he, banane doh inhe" Taani says smilingly, Adi nods with a smile as well.

Aditya walks towards the kitchen and Taani follows him, she sits on the counter and points towards the drawer in which the coffee is and watches Adi make coffee, "You are really okay with Rey and the gang being at our engagement, right?" Taani asks a bit worriedly, "I am Taani, if at any point I am not, toh I will let you know" Adi says walking towards Taani and sliding the hair from her face and caressing her cheek, "Hmm good" Taani replies back a bit out of focus, affected by the close proximity of Adi's face to her face, "Kafi filmy line he per sach he, tum khulle baalon me kafi khubsoorat lagti ho" he says before closing the distance between them, she can feel him moving closer, her focus on his lips, she closes her eyes as soon as he puts his lips on hers.

"Taani woh-" they both jump apart hearing Swayam's voice who looks like he is going to be sick after witnessing his baby sister kissing someone but its Rey's expressions that gives Taani a pause.

Sorry for being MIA, I will try to be more active, also this story is coming to an end, 2-3 chapters left, if anyone wants to see a certain thing happen let me know, I am open to any ideas and will try to see if I can make it happen.
