Will you marry me??
For weeks, Sanyogita had erected an emotional fortress, shutting Prithvi out. Their office encounters were reduced to stilted exchanges, devoid of warmth.
Sanyogita stood on the office balcony, her hands grasping the railing as she gazed out at the cloudless sky. The city bustled below, a stark contrast to her turbulent thoughts.
"Sanyo, Main kab se tumhe pukar raha tha? Dhyan kahan hai tumhara?" Prithvi's gentle voice broke the silence, his words infused with concern.
He stepped beside her, his eyes searching for a glimmer of the connection they once shared. Sanyogita's profile remained resolute, her jaw set.
Prithvi's hand reached out, hesitating before brushing against hers. The touch sent shivers down her spine.
"Sanyo, what's troubling you?" he asked, his voice softening. "Why this silence?"
Sanyogita's gaze lingered on the horizon, her shoulders tensed, as Prithvi's presence awakened emotions she desperately tried to bury.
She turned to leave, her voice flat. "Nothing."
Prithvi's eyes narrowed, his brow furrowed in concern. "Sanyo, what happened? Did I make any mistakes?"
Sanyogita's gaze darted to the side, avoiding his. "No, nahi."
Prithvi's grip on her arm halted her departure. "If I haven't done anything wrong, why are you avoiding me?" His voice held a hint of desperation.
Sanyogita's excuse came quickly. "I have a lot to do. I need to go."
Prithvi's fingers tightened around her arm, pulling her closer. "Sanyo, don't change the subject," he urged, his eyes burning with intensity.
"Kya baat hai, Jaan? Tum mujhse is tarah ignore kyu kar rahi ho?" He searched her face, his voice laced with longing.
Sanyogita's eyelids fluttered closed, her pulse racing as Prithvi's proximity ignited feelings she desperately tried to extinguish.
"Prithvi, please release my hand," she implored, her voice laced with urgency, still avoiding his gaze.
Prithvi's grip tightened. "Nahi, first tell me, why are you behaving like this?" His tone held a mix of frustration and longing.
Sanyogita's eyes snapped open, her gaze darting around the office, anxious about potential onlookers. "Prithvi, this is the office. If someone sees us, there will be a scene."
"I don't care," Prithvi declared, his voice unwavering. "Tum samjhti kya ho apne aap ko? What do you think of yourself?" His words poured out, a mixture of pain and confusion.
"For so many days, I've noticed you ignoring my calls, my messages, even avoiding me in the office. I waited for you, but you conjured up work issues." Prithvi's fingers wrapped tighter around her hand.
The more Sanyogita struggled to break free, the firmer Prithvi's grasp became.
"Prithvi, leave me! I told you I'm busy!" Her voice turned icy.
Prithvi's eyes blazed with intensity, his voice cracking with emotion. "Busy? From me? From us?" The depth of his hurt pierced Sanyogita's defenses.
She felt her heart being wrenched from her chest, but she stifled her emotions, refusing to show weakness. Her mask of composure remained intact.
Prithvi's grip tightened, pulling her closer. "You're so busy you have time for Rohit, sharing coffee in the evening, but no time for me?" His tone dripped with mocking sarcasm.
His realised his ear became warm and suddenly little heat arose within his tone . There was a tinge of hurt in his eyes.
However, Sanyogita detected the genuine hurt lurking beneath. His ears flushed, and his voice trembled slightly.
A spark of heat ignited in his eyes, fueled by insecurity. Sanyogita sensed the vulnerability he struggled to conceal.
She closed her eyes, gulping down her emotions. The anguish in Prithvi's voice cracked her resolve.
"Prithvi, don't..." she whispered.
Her eyes opened, locking onto his. For an instant, they shared a raw, honest connection.
“Jaan, Kya baat hai why are you ignoring me ?” Prithvi's voice cracked, his words laced with desperation. He held her face towards him by keeping his hand on her cheek.
"Jaan, kya baat hai? Why are you ignoring me?"
Sanyogita's face slowly turned towards him, her cheek nestling into his palm. A single tear glistened on her left cheek, and Prithvi's heart skipped a beat.
His anger dissolved, replaced by concern. "Sanyo, kya hua? Kya kisi ne tumhe kuch kaha?" He asked, his voice trembling with worry.
Sanyogita's watery eyes sparkled like diamonds, her lashes fluttering as she fought back tears. Prithvi's grip on her hand tightened.
"Kyon tum mujhse door ho rahi ho?" he whispered, his breath dancing across her skin.
Despite his gentle probing, Sanyogita remained silent.
Prithvi's frustration boiled over. "Agar tum mujhse baat nahi karogi, toh main sab kuch kaise jan paunga?" He shouted, his voice echoing through the office corridor.
His chest heaved, heart pounding in his ribcage. "You know I can't bear seeing tears in your eyes, main tumhe rote hue nahi dekh sakta."
Sanyogita's resolve crumbled, and she burst into tears, her face burying in Prithvi's chest. "Prithvi, ab mujhe ye nahi hoga?" Her voice trembled, accompanied by uncontrollable sobs.
Prithvi's arms enveloped her, holding her close as she clutched his blazer. "Kya nahi hoga, please tell me," he implored, confusion etched on his face.
His hands soothingly patted her head and back, attempting to calm the storm within her.
Sanyogita pulled away, wiping her tear-stained face. She turned to leave, but Prithvi's fingers wrapped around her right wrist, gently pulling her back.
He drew her closer, his left hand cradling her waist, and his right hand lifting her chin. Their eyes met, and Sanyogita's gaze faltered, her defenses crumbling.
"Kya hua, Sanyo? Mujhe batao," Prithvi whispered, his breath caressing her skin.
"Prithvi, leave me!" Sanyogita's voice attempted rigidity, but it barely surpassed a whisper.
Prithvi's fingers remained wrapped around her chin, his eyes scanning her troubled face. "What are you hiding from me, Sanyo? You have to answer me today."
His warm breath danced across her skin, sending shivers down her spine. Her heart accelerated, pounding in her chest.
Sanyogita struggled to break free, but Prithvi's grip was only tightened. "Prithvi, please leave me!" she implored, her knees weakening.
He pulled her closer, their bodies merging, her curves pressing against his chest. "First, you'll answer my questions!" His gaze dropped to her trembling lips before snapping back to her eyes.
Sanyogita's attempts to free herself proved futile; Prithvi's fingers encircled her wrists, holding her firm.
Her forehead wrinkled in distress, and Prithvi sensed her slipping control. "Leave me!" she whispered again.
Prithvi's forehead touched hers, his breathing quickening in tandem with her nervousness. "No, first you'll answer me," he insisted.
Their breaths intertwined, the air thick with anticipation. "No, first you have to answer me," Prithvi whispered, his voice husky.
Sanyogita's pulse quickened as Prithvi's warm lips grazed her nose bridge, tracing a gentle path downward. Her eyelids fluttered closed, her lashes brushing against her cheeks.
Prithvi's breathing accelerated, his chest rising and falling against hers. Sanyogita's nervousness mirrored his, their heartbeats synchronizing.
His lips hovered around her mouth contours, poised to claim her. The warmth of his breath sent shivers down her spine.
Their breathing grew faster, simultaneously racing with anticipation. Prithvi's fingers tightened around her slim waist , his grip electrifying.
Just as their lips were about to meet, Arjun's sudden arrival shattered the moment.
Prithvi's eyes snapped open, releasing Sanyogita from his grasp. She hastily retreated, her face flushed, her lips swollen.
Arjun's expression turned knowing as he approached Prithvi. "I know, Sir. That's why Mam is behaving strangely."
Prithvi's brow furrowed, confusion etched on his face. "What tum jante ho, matlab? You're saying you understand, but I can't make sense of anything."
Arjun's voice dropped to a whisper, his eyes locked onto Prithvi's. "I'm telling you, everything, Sir."
Prithvi's eyes narrowed, his mind racing. "Kya hai, Arjun? What's going on? What do you know about Sanyogita's behavior?"
Arjun's gaze darted around the room before focusing on Prithvi. "Sir, it's about her past. There's something she's hiding."
Prithvi's grip on Arjun's shoulder tightened. "What is it, Arjun? Tell me."
Arjun's voice trembled slightly. "Sir, I overheard her conversation with ...
Flashback
On that day I went on a date with Maya [My girlfriend] ,a few tables apart in the same restaurant Maya saw Sanyogita Madam talking with Risha Madam by sitting opposite each other. Here is the Video.
.....
Risha's eyes locked onto Sanyogita's, her voice low and urgent. "I'll get straight to the point. I want Prithvi."
Sanyogita's expression turned icy, her eyes squinting slightly. "Prithvi isn't some commodity you can buy, Risha. He's not a luxury item to be purchased."
Risha's jaw clenched, her words dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, spare me the lecture, Miss Sharma. I didn't come here for moral lessons."
Sanyogita's smile twisted, her voice laced with disdain. "You think everything can be bought, don't you? That your wealth makes you invincible?"
Risha's eyes flashed with annoyance. "I'm willing to offer three crores. If that's not enough, I'll give more. But I want Prithvi, no matter the cost."
Sanyogita's grin widened, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You rich people are pathetic. You think money solves everything. But it doesn't. You're useless without it."
The air was thick with tension as the two women locked eyes, their words hanging like a challenge.
Risha's eyes blazed with anger, her gaze piercing Sanyogita's defiant stance. But Sanyogita didn't flinch.
"Anyway, you want to buy my love?" Sanyogita's voice dripped with venom, her words slicing through the air. "Then let me tell you, Miss Risha Sisodia, even if you offered me your entire empire, you still couldn't purchase my love. Because, for me, love is priceless."
Sanyogita's lips curled into a scornful smile, her eyes flashing with disdain. "But some rich people like you can't understand that, can you? You think everything has a price tag, including people's emotions."
Risha felt her face burn with humiliation, as if Sanyogita's sharp words had slapped her. The sting lingered, making her eyes prickle with unshed tears. Her pride wounded, Rishabh's anger boiled over.
"How dare you!" Risha's voice trembled, her words laced with indignation. "You think you're so superior just because you won't sell out to me?"
Sanyogita's expression remained unyielding, her voice steady. "I'm not selling out to anyone, Miss Sisodia. Least of all to someone who thinks love can be bought."
The tension between them crackled like electricity, the air thick with unspoken challenges.
Risha felt her face sear with humiliation, as if Sanyogita's sharp words had left a physical mark. She stood frozen, her eyes burning with unshed tears.
Sanyogita rose from her seat, her movements fluid and deliberate. She turned to leave, but Risha's venomous tone halted her.
"You dirty bitch," Risha spat, her voice dripping with malice.
Sanyogita pivoted on her heel, her eyes narrowing at Risha. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Risha's lips curled into a sneer. "You think you're worthy of Prithvi? You're nothing but a maid, a servant. A prince like him deserves a princess, not some ... some ..." She let the word hang, but Sanyogita knew the implication.
"A mistress?" Sanyogita finished, her voice laced with disdain. "You think that's all I'm good for?"
Risha's smile twisted. "Our society has a name for women like you. Women who think they can rise above their station. You'll always be a maid, Sanyogita. No matter how hard you try to pretend otherwise."
Sanyogita's eyes flashed with anger, but her voice remained steady. "And you'll always be a shallow, entitled rich girl, Risha. Buying love and respect won't fill the void inside you."
The air crackled with tension as the two women locked eyes, their words hanging like a challenge.
Risha rose from her seat, her eyes blazing with malice. "You know what, Sanyogita? Prithvi is just using you as his plaything. When he's done, he'll discard you like a used tissue."
Sanyogita's patience snapped. "Miss Risha, I don't need a character certificate for Prithvi from someone like you." Her voice dripped with disdain.
She paused, her chest heaving with emotion. "You don't know even a fraction of what I know about him. Not even one percent." Her words cut deep, mocking Risha's attempt to claim superiority.
Risha's face turned beet red, her eyes bulging with fury. "Sanyogita, listen carefully. If you don't agree with me now, don't blame me later." Her voice dropped to a menacing whisper.
"I can destroy everything. Prithvi's company has a massive contract with Malhotra's. If I complain about your products, Prithvi will have to pay a hefty compensation. Your foolish persistence will ruin Malhotra's."
Sanyogita's eyes widened, her mind racing. She felt trapped, her heart rebelling against her brain. The weight of Risha's threat settled heavily in her stomach.
"Are you blackmailing me?" Sanyogita's voice trembled, her words barely audible.
Risha's smile twisted. "Call it whatever you want. But you know I can do it. I have the power, Sanyogita. And I won't hesitate to use it."
The air hung thick with tension, Sanyogita's silence her only response.
End of the flashback
Prithvi did not wait for a single word to hear .
Prithvi slammed the car door shut and strode into the hotel lobby, his long strides devouring the distance. The manager, caught off guard, hastened to intercept him.
"Sir, please wait, Madam Risha is in a meeting—"
Prithvi didn't break the stride. He pushed open the door to Risha's suite, his eyes blazing with fury.
Risha's eyes snapped up from the papers scattered across the conference table, her clients' faces a blur as she took in Prithvi's thunderous expression.
"What the—?" she began, rising from her seat.
Prithvi tossed the contract papers onto the table, the pages fluttering wildly.
"You think you can control my life, Risha? Interfere with my relationships?"
His voice boiled with anger, each word punctuated by a sharp gesture.
"Who gave you the right to command my girl ? She's not your puppet, and neither am I."
Risha's face paled, her eyes darting to her clients, who scrambled to exit the room.
"Prithvi, please—"
"Don't," he cut her off, his tone icy. "We're done. The contract is null and void. We no longer need your services."
Risha's lips parted, shock written across her face.
"And let this be clear," Prithvi's voice dropped to a menacing whisper, "if you ever dare to bother my girl again, I'll make sure you regret it. You'll face the consequences, and I won't hesitate to take you down."
The room fell silent, the tension suffocating.
Risha's eyes flashed with anger, but Prithvi's unyielding gaze left her speechless.
Prithvi didn't give Risha a chance to utter a word. He turned on his heel, his long strides devouring the distance to the door. The sound of the door slamming shut behind him echoed through the room, leaving Risha stunned and embarrassed.
Her colleagues, who had been witness to the explosive confrontation, exchanged uneasy glances. Their faces reflected a mix of shock and discomfort.
Risha's face burned with humiliation, her eyes flashing with anger and embarrassment. She felt her professional reputation tarnished, her authority challenged.
"How dare he!" she muttered, her voice barely audible.
The room fell silent, the tension palpable. Risha's colleagues hesitated, unsure how to react.
One of them, attempting to diffuse the awkwardness, cleared his throat. "Risha, perhaps we should—"
But Risha cut him off, her voice icy. "Leave. Now."
The room emptied quickly, her colleagues beating a hasty retreat.
Risha stood alone, her eyes fixed on the door Prithvi had stormed out of. Her mind raced with thoughts of revenge and retaliation.
Prithvi and Sanyogita sat together on the Marine Drive beach, their arms wrapped around each other as the cool sea breeze danced through their hair. The setting sun casts a warm orange glow across the waves, soothing their skin and calming their souls.
Sanyogita's voice was laced with concern as she gazed into Prithvi's eyes. "Prithvi, why did you do that?" she asked, her brow furrowed with worry.
Prithvi's expression softened, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I know what you're thinking, Jaan. Don't worry, I've already told you - you don't need to be afraid of...her." He hesitated, avoiding Risha's name. "I had to partner with their company because of my father's friendship with Mr. Sisodia. Besides, I wanted to help you, Sanyo. I knew you wouldn't accept my help directly, so I had to find another way."
Sanyogita's gaze drifted out to the sea, her voice tinged with frustration. "But Prithvi, we've lost so many tenders recently. It's like we're struggling to stay afloat."
Prithvi's fingers intertwined with hers, his touch reassuring. "Jaan, this is business. There will be ups and downs. You know me, your Prithvi." He smiled, his eyes searching for her response. "We'll bounce back, stronger than ever. Trust me."
As the waves gently lapped at the shore, Sanyogita's tension began to ease, replaced by the comforting warmth of Prithvi's presence.
Sanyogita nodded fervently, her eyes locking onto Prithvi's as she enveloped him in a tight hug. Her grip was unyielding, as if she sought to convey that no matter what lay ahead, she'd stand by him unwavering.
Prithvi's lips curled into a gentle smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Aab chahe kuch bhi ho jaye, hume aab koi bhi alag nahi kar sakta," he whispered, his voice filled with conviction.
Sanyogita's gaze widened, her heart skipping a beat. Her pulse raced as she searched his face, seeking reassurance.
"But you have to promise me," Prithvi's voice took on a serious tone, his eyes burning with intensity. "Chahe kitni bhi mushkile aaye, tum mujhe kabhi bhi chhod kar nahi jaogi. Humesha mere saath rahogi." His fingers intertwined with hers, his touch electrifying.
Sanyogita's breath hitched as Prithvi's words wrapped around her heart. Her voice barely above a whisper, she replied, "Main humesha tumhare saath rahungi, Prithvi. Kabhi bhi chhod kar nahi jaungi." Tears trembled on her lashes, then fell, like diamonds, onto her cheeks.
"Promise," Prithvi whispered softly, his eyes locking onto hers.
As he gently wiped away her tears, Sanyogita's face tilted upward, her eyes shining with emotion.
"Jaan, tum abhi bhi royogi," Prithvi teased, his voice laced with affection. "Shaadi ke baad humare bachche dekhenge toh kya sochenge ki Mami bachon ki tarah ansu bahati hai?"
Sanyogita's laughter burst forth as she playfully hit him on the chest with her soft fists. "Kyaaa!"
"Arrey arrey, tum pit kyu rahi ho?" Prithvi chuckled, capturing her hands.
"Pitu nahi toh kya karu, tum hamesha mujhe pareshan karte ho," Sanyogita replied, her eyes sparkling.
"Kabhi nahi," Prithvi whispered, embracing her. "I love you."
"I Love you too," Sanyogita replied, her voice barely audible.
As they stood together, the waves shrouded above the sea, their rhythmic motion hypnotic. The sun dipped into the western horizon, painting the sky with vibrant orange hues.
A cool breeze caressed them, and Sanyogita shivered, her grip on Prithvi tightening. He draped his coat around her shoulders, enveloping her in warmth.
Their gazes intertwined, they basked in the serenity of the moment, the waves' gentle lapping a soothing melody.
Sanyogita gently tugged on Prithvi's arm. "Prithvi, now let's go, hame chalna chahiye."
Lost in thought, Prithvi didn't respond. His mind was a thousand miles away.
Sanyogita's voice pierced through his reverie as she called out again, "Prithvi!" This time, she jerked his shoulder, breaking the spell.
Prithvi's eyes refocused, locking onto Sanyogita's concerned gaze. "What happened?" she asked, her eyes wide with worry.
"Sanyo," Prithvi whispered, his face serious, his voice laced with emotion.
Sanyogita's heart skipped a beat as Prithvi rose to his feet, his eyes burning with intensity.
"Sanyo, will you marry me?" he proposed, his voice trembling with anticipation.
Sanyogita's eyes widened, disbelieving. "Are you serious?" she stammered.
Prithvi's face drew closer, his eyes gazing romantically into hers. "Yes, will you marry me?" he repeated, his voice dripping with sincerity.
Time stood still as Sanyogita nodded, her heart overflowing. "Yes, yes...yes!"
Prithvi swept her into his arms, striding toward the waves. "I carry my wife in my arms!" he declared, his voice echoing across the sea.
Sanyogita's laughter mingled with the ocean's melody as Prithvi twirled her around, the sunset casting a golden glow.
"I love you," Prithvi confessed, grinning.
"I love you too," Sanyogita replied playfully.
Prithvi: I love you 3
Sanyo: I love you 4
Prithvi: I love you 5
Sanyo: I love you 6
Their declarations of love became a joyful chant, echoing into infinity.
"I love you 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15...and forever."
Prithvi gently lifted Sanyogita onto the waves, his hands cradling her waist as he gazed into her sparkling eyes. Time froze as they locked gazes, their hearts beating in unison.
Without blinking, they surrendered to a passionate kiss, their lips intertwining in a deep, lingering caress. Sanyogita's fingers danced through Prithvi's hair, drawing him closer, as he pulled her into a tight embrace.
The news of their engagement spread like wildfire, filling both families with joy. Anushka, Prithvi's grandmother, and his younger brother Ariyan playfully teased him.
Sanyogita's mother radiated happiness, her eyes shining with delight. She had always dreamed of seeing her daughter blissfully happy.
Prithvi's friends - Dharam, his best friend, Kesab, and Raghav - demanded a celebration. Having witnessed their friend's love story unfold, they were overjoyed.
After Prithvi and Sanyogita's patch-up, he introduced her to his friends' group. From that day forward, they affectionately addressed her as "Bhabi" (sister-in-law).
Radhika breathed a sigh of relief, thanking God for reuniting her best friend with her soulmate. She prayed fervently for Prithvi and Sanyogita's future happiness.
As preparations for the wedding unfolded, love and laughter filled the air.
