Part 3

“Us din jab office me Aditya Kumar Tripathi ne tumse ye baat kahi thi tab maine sab kuch sun liya tha.” Aryan revealed the fact while Imlie just looked at her shocked.

[That day when Aditya Kumar Tripathi has said this to you in office, I heard everything]

“To eeka matlab ee hai Itte waqat se tum sab kuch jaanat rahe?” Imlie was still trying to register the fact that all this while he actually knew everything yet he didn’t said a word to her till now. Why? The question screamed in Imlie’s mind as she looked at him confusingly.

[That means all this while you knew everything?]

“Sab kuch jaanta hoon main Imlie. Jo us insaan ne kaha wo bhi aur jo us insan ne nahi kaha wo bhi. Mujhe usi din sab kuch pata chal gaya tha. Tumhe kya lagta hai Imlie ki us insan ke tumhaare aas paas rehte hue main us Insaan par nazar nahi rakhunga? Khaaskar ki tab jab main ye acche se jaanta hoon ki us insaan se tumhe kewal dard hi mila hai aur aage bhi wo insaan tumhe dard ke alaawa aur kuch nahi dega.” Aryan’s face though was straightbut the intensity in his eyes screamed otherwise.

[I know everything Imlie. Whatever that person has said to you as well as what he has not said to you either. I got to know everything that day itself. What do you think Imlie that I will not keep an eye on that person knowing that he is always around you? Especially then when I know it very well that all you got from that person is only pain and in future also that person will give you nothing but pain.]

Tumhe kya lagta hai ki main dekh nahi raha hoon ki pichle ek hafte se tum kitna pareshaan ho? Mujhe sab nazar aa raha tha Imlie, sab kuch. Dukh mujhe is baat ka hai Imlie ki tumne mujhse is baare me ek baar bhi baat nahi kari.” Aryan’s revelation was something which Imlie was not expecting at all. Not at this time at least.

[To be honest I was hell angry at that time. Seeing the shamelessness of that person made my blood boiled too. All I wanted at that moment is to bury that person in the ground alive. But I was quiet because of you. I wanted to see how you are going to handle that situation. I wanted to see whether you will be talking about it to me or not. But forget about discussing the matter with me, you didn’t even mentioned a thing about it to me. But my eyes were always on you and on the antics of Aditya Kumar Tripathi. What do you think Imlie, that I haven’t noticed how much tensed you are from past 1 week? I noticed everything Imlie.. Everything. All this while she was struggling to speak to Aryan regarding the same. But then knowing his god knows what enmity against Aditya she was refraining herself from doing so. Turned out he already knew everything and was waiting for her to share this thing with him. At one side she was happy that even though she haven’t shared her problems with him yet he was there with her silently protecting her like always; but another side of her forced her to think towards another direction – If he knew everything from start then why didn’t he said anything till now and why is he proposing her all of a sudden? Is it because of Aditya? And as this question crossed her mind, all her rational thoughts got clouded with the haze of doubt stopping her to think anything straight. And then.....

“To tum achanak se humse shaadi isliye karna chahte ho kyonki Aditya Sir humse ek baar fir se shaadi karna chahte hain? Yahi Khaatir tum ee sab kare ho? Aditya Sir ko neecha dikhaae khaatir? Yahi khaatir tum humaare janamdin waali raat chune ho kyonki tum jaanat rahe ki kal subah Aditya Sir ke paas kauno mauka hi na bachiye? Itni badi dushmani hai toka AdityaSir se ki unka chot pahuchaae khaatir tum ee sab kar rahe ho? Itni nafrat karte ho tum Aditya Sir se ki us nafrat ke khaatir tum itna bada kadam uthaane ko bhi taiyaar ho? Itni nafrat karte ho tum Aditya Sir se ki tumko ek pal ke lie bhi humaari dosti ka bhi khyaal nahi aaya?” After registering whatever Aryan has said to her Imlie can come to this conclusion only. After all, what else can explain the best for him proposing to her like this all of a sudden?

[So you want to marry me all of a sudden because Aditya Sir wanted to get married to me all of a sudden? That’s why you have done all this? To humiliate Aditya Sir? That’s why you have chosen the night of my Birthday so that tomorrow morning Aditya Sir will be left with no opportunity? Do you hate Aditya Sir so much that in order to hurt him you are doing all this? Do you really hate Aditya Sit so much that for that hate you are ready to take such a big step? “Aisa kuch nahi hai Imlie. Tum soch bhi kaisesakti ho ki Aditya Kumar Tripathi ko chot pahunchaane ke lie main tumhaara istemaal karunga? Kya itna hi samajh paayi ho tum mujhe? Itne samay me itna hi vishwaas ho paaya hai tumhe mujh par?” To be honest Aryan was shocked as well as hurt after what Imlie has said to him. He agrees that all this shock is too much for her to take but that doesn’t mean she will accuse him with something like this. Especially then when he cannot even think of such thing then forget about doing it.

[It’s nothing like that Imlie. How can you even think that in order to hurt Aditya Kumar Tripathi, I will use you? Only this much you know me? After being with me all this while only this much trust you have on me?]

“Humka to tum kabhi samajh hi nahi aaye. Jab jab humka laagat hai ki hum toka samjahne lage hain, tum kuch aisa kar det ho ki ek baar fir se tum humaar khaatir ek paheli ban jaat ho. Kaa tum ee kahat chahat ho ki toka humse pyaar hui gawa hai aur us pyaar ki khaatir tum humse shaadi karna chahte ho?” Imlie’s voice though was accusing but the tears in her eyes clearly showed her confusion, shock and hurt all at once.

[I couldn’t understand you even a bit till now. Just when I think that I have started knowing you, at that very moment you do something that once again you become enigma to me. And you only tell me what should I think if not this? Just a week back you were not ready to consider me even as your friend. Again and again you were only saying to me that I am just your employee and nothing else. And now after a week you want me to get married to you? What has happened in this 1 week that you are ready to take such a big step of your life? If the reason is not Aditya Sir then what is it? Do you want to say that you have fallen in love with me and you want to get married to me because of that love?]

“Imlie!” Seeing Imlie voicing out the same emotions from which he has been struggling for a while now and still not ready to accept Aryan loses his control. He didn’t want to raise his voice on Imlie but Imlie triggering the right chord with her words made Aryan to behave otherwise.

“Kaa hua? Bura laga? Tum humse pyaar naahi karat ho, humka apna dost nahi maanat ho lekin humse shaadi karna chaahat ho? Kaahe? Sirf Aditya Sir se badla lene ke khaatir? Tum to wakai me bahut bade businessman nikle ABP. Apne maksad ke khaatir tum is had tak chale jaaoge ee humne kabhi nahi socha tha. Hum tum ko apan dost maanat rahe, tum par bharosa kiyerahe aur tum….. Hum humesha ek hi baat sochte the ki bhale hi tum humka dost nahi maanat ho lekin itne dino me humaare beech jo vishwaas ka jo apnepan karishta bana hai uske baad tum kabhi bhi humein chot nahi pahunchaaoge…. Lekin tum… Aditya Sir se badla le khaatir unhe chot pahunchaae khaatir tum humka use karat ho…..” Imlie voice cracked at the end for she was too hurt with everything while Aryan was just looking at her not sure how to tell her that whatever she is thinking is all wrong. He can never even think of committing such thing

[What happen? Did you felt bad? You don’t love me, you don’t consider me as your friend, but you wanted to get married to me? Why? Just to take revenge on Aditya Sir? You really is a great businessman ABP. I can’t even imagine that for your own motive you can go to this extent. I have considered you as my friend; have trusted you and you…… You know what I have always thought that no matter if you don’t consider me as your friend but during all these days the bond of trust, the bond of oneness that has developed between us, after that you will not hurt me ever.. He was not a man who knows how to express himself and hence he had wished that Imlie would understand him like she always do but seems like things went for a toss over here. Although he kind of expected that Imlie will be shocked with this sudden proposal, heck he himself never realized why he wanted to get married to her at first place; probably the fear of losing her to Aditya forever has made him behave out of his character, but he never expected that Imlie will accuse him with something like this. For this is the last thing that can come into his mind.

“Ye teesri baar tumne mujh par galat ilzaam lagaaya hai Imlie. Main isse pehle bhi tumhe do baar bata chuka hoon ki kisi se bhi badla lene ke lie mujhe sirf ek hi insaan ki zarurat hai aur wo insaan main khud hoon. Kisi ko uske kiye ki sazadene ke liye.. usse badla lene ke liye mujhe kisi ko use karne ki zarurat nahi hai.. Tumhe to khaaskar ki nahi.. Tumhe use karne ke baare me to main soch bhi nahi sakta Imlie… Itne samay me tum mujhe itna bhi nahi samajh paayi?” Anger and more than anger it was hurt which was visible in Aryan’s eyes as he looked at Imlie.

[This is the third time you have accused me wrong Imlie. I have already told you twice that in order to take revenge on someone, I just need one person and that person is me myself. To punish someone for his deeds.. To take revenge on someone I don’t need to use anyone… Especially not you…I can’t even think of using you Imlie…. You can’t even get to know me a bit all these while?]

“To tum bataate kaahi nahi ho humka ki agar ye sab Aditya sir se badla le ke khaatir naahi hai to fir kis khaatir hai.. Kaahe is tarah se apni baat ko apne man me dabaaye ho? Kis khaatir tum humse…..” Imlie stopped in mid as she recalled something that made her look in Aryan in sudden realization. Something that she has been ignoring till now but had started to raise in her mind like an urchin in a loaf.

[Then why are you not telling me if it is not to take revenge on Aditya Sir then why are you doing all this… Why are you keeping everything in your heart like this? For what you are asking me to…….]

“Aryan Singh Rathore ek businessman hai Imlie. Aur wo bina apne faayde ke kuch bhi nahi karega. Khaaskar ki us insaan ke liejise wo kuch samay pehle tak jaanta bhi na ho.”

“Aryan Singh Rathore sirf tumhaara istemaal kar raha hai Imlie. Humein neecha dikhaane ke lie wo tumhe promote karta jaa raha hai aur Humein demote. Warna tumhi batao aur kya wajah ho sakti hai ek student ko, ek intern ko itna badhaava dene ki ki wo use ek din ka CEO tak bana de. Hum nahi jaante ki Aryan Singh Rathore ko humse kya dushmani hai lekin aaj tak usne tumhaare liye jo kuch bhi kiya hai wo sirf aur sirf tumhaari nazar me accha banne ke lie kiya hai taaki wo tumhe humaare against use kar sake.”

[All Aryan Singh Rathore is doing is just to use you Imlie. In order to humiliate me he is continuously promoting you and demoting me. Or else you only tell what could the reason to promote a student, an intern so much that he make her a CEO for a day. I don’t know what enmity Aryan Singh Rathore holds against me but whatever he has done for you till now, it was all because he wanted to be in your good books so that he can use you against me.]

“Aaj tumhe bhale hi humaari baaton par bharosa nahi ho raha hai Imlie lekin ek din tumhe is baat ka ehsaas zaroor hoga ki hum sahi the aur Aryan Singh Rathore galat. Dekh lena Imlie waqt aane par ek din wo zaroor apne har ehsaan ki keemat tumse vasool kar lega. Aur agar aisa nahi hua to hum Khushi Khushi tumhaari zindagi se door chale jaaenge aur kabhi dobara apna chehra nahi dikhaaenge.”

[You may not believe me today Imlie but one day you will definitely realize that I was right and Aryan Singh Rathore wrong. Just wait and watch Imlie when the time comes, he will definitely recover the cost of all the favors he has done for you. And if it doesn’t happen then I will gladly go way from your life and will never show you my face.]

Aditya’s words rang in her mind that he kept on saying to her in all this one week. In order to keep Imlie away from Aryan Aditya had left no stones unturned to manipulate her emotionally. Though at that time Imlie didn’t paid heed to any of his words but now it seems like though gradually but his words are now showing its effect on her. Especially Aryan proposing to her like this is the last nail in the coffin for her. And Aryan not telling her the reason behind this sudden proposal of his is not helping her either.

“Chup kyon ho gayi Imlie? Bolo.. Speak up Damn it!” Seeing Imlie getting paused in between while looking at him with a question in her eyes as if she has cracked some complex equation Aryan urged her to speak. He himself wanted to see to what extent will Imlie think wrong of him.

[Why did you stopped Imlie? Say it… Speak up Damn it!!]

“Tum humse apni keemat vasoolat ho? Tumne aaj tak humaar khaatir jaun kuch bhi kiya uski keemat tum is tarah se vasoolat ho? Humaara faayda uthaane ke lie tum humse….. Agreed he might be wrong in proposing her marriage this suddenly, especially when he knows what Imlie had been through from past 1 and a half year almost and she has every right to get mad at him or even reject his proposal but that doesn’t mean that she can accuse her of something like especially when he never thought anything of such sort for her. Agreed he wanted to destroy Aditya Kumar Tripathi but for that he can never use Imlie and this thing he had already told her twice and now thrice. And on top of that Imlie thinks that whatever he has done for her was for his own selfish reason.. Because he wanted to take advantage of her? Did she really think so low of him?

Selfish reason? Yes he had a selfish reason to do everything he has done for Imlie till date and that selfish reason is Imlie herself.. He can’t see her in pain, he can’t see her doubting her self-worth, he can’t see anyone taking advantage of her emotional self, he always wanted to see her smile and touching all the heights of glory. And only his heart and god knows that he never wanted anything in return except her happiness. Then how can she even think of that he wanted a price for everything he has done for her.

Aryan was clearly hurt at this moment and that could be clearly seen in his eyes which were welled up in tears or his closed fist where his nails are digging the soft flesh of his palm. But being the Alpha male he was he couldn’t allow his emotion to give away at this moment and hence instead of answering her Aryan just walked past her as he started walking away from there.

“Tum humaare sawaal ka jawaab diye bagair yahanse nahi jaa sakat ho ABP.” Aryan has walked just a few steps ahead when Imlie held his wrist thus stopping him in between.

[You cannot leave like this without answering my question ABP?]

Wakai me tum ne aaj tak humaare lie jo kuch bhi kiya wo AdityaSir ko neecha dikhaae khaatir kiya aur ab tumhe apne har ehsaan ki keemat is tarah se chahie?” Imlie demanded answers for she just cannot let go of this matter just like that and Aryan’s silence was not helping either.

[You have to answer me Akadbagge. Tell me what is that sudden reason, which calamity attacked all of a sudden that you were forced to take such a big step? Even after knowing everything about me you wanted to get married to me? Why? What should I think about all this? Is it true that whatever you have done for me till now I to humiliate Aditya Sir and now you are recovering the price of all your favors like this from me?]

“Tum apne man me pehle hi judgment pass kar chuki ho Imlie fir mere kuch bhi kehne ya kehne se koi fark nahi padta. Yahi tha tumhaara vishwaas?” Aryan’s voice though was flat but his eyes conveyed the hurt and pain that he was feeling right now.

[You have already passed a judgment in your heart Imlie then it doesn’t matter whatever I say to you. You have already accepted that in your heart that I am wrong and Aditya Kumar Tripathi is right. I can clearly see the effect of Aditya Kumar Tripathi’s words and his manipulation on you Imlie. Then how does it matter if I say anything in my defense? Fir kyon tumne hume mohre ki tarah istemaal kiya?” Aryan’s silence and him not answering straight has now started to frustrate Imlie as she shake his shoulder demanding her answers to him and seeing her like that Aryan once again held her shoulders and pulled her against him.

[Then why are you not telling me the thing that is in your heart? If I am wrong then why are you not proving me wrong like always? Why not with the help of your big eyes and great talks you are showing me the things which I am unable to see at this moment? Look I will forget everything that has happened over here, you just tell me the truth once. Just tell me that whatever I am thinking is all wrong. I swear on Seeta Maiyya that I will never ever bring this topic again in my life. Say something ABP…. Why are you not saying anything? What is the reason that you are proposing me for marriage like this? Your silence is killing me now. What do you and Aditya Sir has considered me as? Main tumse shaadi isliye karna chahta hoon kyonki main tumse…….” Aryan’s stopped in mid when he realized what he was about to say and next instant he loosened his grip on her shoulders and gently pushed her back.

[I am using you like a pawn Imlie? I am taking advantage of you? Me? Is what you think about me? How can you even think of comparing me from that Aditya Kumar Tripathi? Did I ever try to manipulate you? Did I ever insult you? Did I ever try to spoil your life? How many times have I told you Imlie that whatever you have achieved in your life is because you really deserve all that. You have the potential in you.. Have the capability in you. For that you don’t have to do any favor on anyone – not on me, not anyone else. But even after me saying all this if you are not realizing your self-worth, if your don’t have confidence on yourself, you want to believe what Aditya Kumar Tripathi has told you, then it’s not my fault. You think that I want to marry you because I want to humiliate Aditya Kumar Tripathi, want to take revenge on him or want to take advantage of you? You fool…. I want to get married to you because I…..]

“Rehne do… Tum nahi samjhogi…” Simply by saying this Aryan turned his back towards her in order to hide his lone tear that just escaped from his eye while Imlie looked at his back all shocked.

Aryan couldn’t complete himself as he heard as oft thud sound from behind that alarmed him instantly and as he turned around all his fears came true when he saw Imlie lying unconscious on the floor.

“Imlie!!” Aryan screamed in horror as he rushed towards her and sat beside her. Fear of losing her gripped his heart yet again as he noticed her pale face.

“Imlie… Imlie… Aankhen kholo apni Imlie.. Open your eyes.. Kya hua tumhe?” Aryan patted her cheeks as he kept the head of unconscious Imlie on his lap trying to wake her up.

[Imlie… Imlie… Open your eyes Imlie… Open youreyes… What happened to you?]

“Imlie please apni aankhein kholo.. I am sorry Imlie.. Mujhe tumse ye sab kuch nahi kehna chahie tha.. Tum pehle se hi stress me thi aur maine…. I am really Sorry Imlie… Please apni aankhein kholo…” All the anger and hurt that Aryan felt a moment ago all disappeared in an instant when he saw an unconscious Imlie on the floor as he keeps on patting her cheek literally pleading her to open her eyes but Imlie was nowhere to wake up.

[Imlie please open your eyes.. I am sorry Imlie…I shouldn’t have said all this to you… You were already in stress and I have….I am really sorry Imlie… Please open your eyes…]

Seeing Imlie still unconscious Aryan instantly picked her up in his arms before rushing towards his car.

And Next morning when she woke up she has found herself on a hospital bed with a worried Arpita and Narmada sitting beside her. Imlie looked at her surroundings confused and then at Arpita and Narmada notable to register anything at first.

“Arpita Didi, Kaki Ma.. Hum yaha kaise?” Imlie asked as she looked at Arpita and Narmada confused.

[Arpita Didi, Kaki Ma… How come I am here?]

“Imlie… Thank God tujhe hosh aa gaya.. Jab Aru ka phone aaya tha ki tu yahan Hospital me hai tab Main aur Maa to bahut zyada dar Gaye the. Lekin thank god ab tu theek hai. Par tu behosh kaise Hui? Aru ne fir se tujhe koi exhausting assignment diya kya? Dekh agar aisa hai to tu mujhe bata de. Main acche se uski khabar loongi.” As worried Arpita asked Imlie andArpita’s words forced Imlie to think back at the events of last night.

[Imlie… Thank God you regained your consciousness.. When Aru has called me to inform that you are in hospital then I and Maa both have got so scared. But Thank God you are fine. But how did you fall unconscious like this? Did Aru once again give you any exhausting assignment? If there is something like this then do tell me. I will teach him a lesson.]

“Tu apna dhyaan kyon nahi rakhti beta. Doctor ne pehle bhi tujhse kaha hai ki tujhe zyada stress nahi lena hai. Tera BP bahut zyada low ho Gaya tha jiski wajah se tu behosh ho gayi thi. Khair chod sab aur ye bata ki ab tu kaisa feel kar rahi hai?” With a motherly love Narmada caress Imlie’s head and Imlie felt like crying under the loving caress of a woman who has loved her unconditionally after her Amma.

[Why are you not taking good care of yourself beta? Doctor has already told you that you don’t have to take much stress. Your BP has dropped down very low due to which you have fallen unconscious. Anyways leave all this and tell me that how are you feeling now?]

It took some time for her to register whatever has happened and as soon as she remembered the events of last night, her eyes instantly searched for Aryan in the room but he was nowhere to be seen. She knows it very well that it was Aryan only who could have brought her over here because no one else could have done so.

“But then where is he?” Imlie’s eyes searched forAryan as this question rang in her mind.

“Aru ko dhoondh rahi hai Imlie? Wo yahin tha tere paas. Balki poori raat tere paas hi baitha hua tha. Doctors bata rahe the ki wo ek second bhi tere paas se nahi hila tha. Fir subah jab hum log aaye tab wo turant hi yahan se chala gaya. Keh raha tha ki use kisi zaroori kaam se out of town jaana hai, islie wo chala gaya.” Arpita as if understanding her unsaid confusion told her while Imlie simply nodded her head absent mindedly.

[Are you looking for Aru Imlie? He was here only with you. In fact whole night he was sitting beside you only. Doctors were saying that he hasn’t moved from beside you even for second. And then when we both came in the morning then he left immediately. He was saying that he has some important work due to which he has to go out of town and hence he left.]

She very well knows why Aryan went like this all of a sudden before she can regain her consciousness. It was not because of any work. The reason of him leaving this was HER…..

Phew!!! Finally done updating it ... Abhi kiska kiska mujhe joote maarne ka dil kar raha hai .. So I covered all the flashback in this part... Not sure how it came out because this story has underwent loads of changes during the course of time because of my mood swings ... I am leaving up to you guys to judge... Hopefully you gonna like it
