              Part - 16

Next morning….

Dadi cleverly sends Geet with Maan’s protein drink instead of Nakul…..

Geet takes the drink to the terrace where Maan is practicing his tai chi….

Maan is a not aware that Geet is here watching him….

Geet keeps looking at Maan working out vigorously….

She forgets herself for a moment and is lost in his looks…

Maan realises that someone is looking at him….

He grabs the towel and covers himself…

He comes looking for his stalker….

Geet tries to escape from him.. But Maan catches hold of her….

Geet gives the glass to Maan…

Geet: Dadi asked me to give this

She immediately leaves in a hurry without waiting for Maan to speak….

Dadi knows that her plan is working perfectly seeing the difference on Geet’s face…

Once again Dadi sends Geet to call Maan for breakfast as he is late….

This time Geet is little cautious…

Geet goes to his room and knocks the door …

Maan thinks that it must be Nakul or chandu…..

Maan: come in

Geet opens the door and enters looking for man….

Maan: What is it Nakul?

Geet goes towards the direction of the voice…

Maan has just then come out of his shower and is standing in front of the mirror…

Maan has seen Geet coming towards him on the mirror…

Geet closes her eyes as she is embarrassed….

Geet: Dadi is calling you

Geet tries to run off with her eyes still closed….

She hits the Bed and falls on it..

Maan rushes towards her and gives a hand to help her get up…

Geet doesn’t want his help and tries to get up on her own only to fall back again….

The bed is too soft for her too get a hold of it an get up…

Maan takes her hand forcefully and lift her up…

Geet stands there watching him like a fool….

Maan: Tell Dadima that I’m coming

Geet doesn’t hear a word that he said….

Maan: Geet, do you hear me?Geeeet?

Geet comes back to her senses and runs away…

Maan can see the changes in her eyes, she is definitely smitten…

Maan is already confused how to balance between, sending the wrong signals to an innocent girl, as if acknowledging her impossible notion, or hurting her unnecessarily on the other hand….

Now he just hopes that everything goes smoothly without further complications..

Maan finishes his breakfast quickly and leaves for KC

Geet spends the day with dadi and waits for Maan to return in the evening…..

But Maan stays back at the office itself only to return late just like the previous night hoping that Geet would have slept by then….

But Geet keeps waiting for Maan…. She wants to have dinner with him… 

Dadi also likes that idea and let’s Geet wait….

Maan comes and finds Geet sleeping on the sofa….

Maan wakes her up…

Maan: What are you doing here? It’s so late

Geet: I am waiting for you only

Maan doesn’tl like that at all…

Maan: For what?

Geet: I just wanted to have dinner with you

Maan: That was unnecessary, you should have had your dinner and gone to bed by now, it’s almost 10

Geet: No problem I always sleep at 11 only

Maan: You have an answer for everything

Geet: Yes I do I am Geet Handa

Maan: I am not feeling hungry

Geet: But I am very hungry, you should give me company, I have been waiting with an empty stomach just for you

Maan: but

Maan pauses… it’s no use arguing further which would only mean spending more time with her….

Maan has no other choice but to have dinner with Geet….

Maan finds out that the food is cold…

Maan asks her to wait while he warms it up in the oven…

Geet goes and helps him too…

As soon as the food is heated Geet grabs the roti and starts eating….

Maan realises that she should really be hungry… she is not faking just to grab his attention…

Maan settles with a glass of juice for it's too late for him to eat….

Geet looks at him with the glass of juice, she is surprised…

Geet: How could you sleep with an empty stomach?

Maan: How could you eat so much so late and sleep immediately?

Geet: We are used to eating even at midnight in the hostel

Maan: That’s not good for your health

Geet: I am only 18 not 80

Maan: So you think I AM 80

Geet: Yes

Maan: What

Maan looks at himself doubtfully…. Geet laugh…..

Geet: You look great, fit and fine like a perfect dude

Geet is reminded of her morning confrontation with Maan….

Maan too doesn’t miss to notice the blush on her face..

Maan likes the way she called him dude, he feels much younger….

Geet: But you behave like an old man

Maan: What?

Geet: I think you have forgotten that you have a beautiful life in hand to celebrate

Maan is astonished how she is bang on point, that is so true…

Geet: Why don’t you try these parathas? they are so delicious

Maan looks at the parathas and is not ready to eat them…

Geet: Just a couple of parathas won’t harm you anyway, just try it once and you will know the truth

Maan haves a paratha and it's very tasty, he then end up eating four of them…

Geet is happy that he had them for her…

Next morning…..

Geet wakes up, gets ready soon and goes in search of Maan, she is disappointed to find out that Maan has gone out as it’s Saturday, Maan always goes out on weekends…

Geet waits for him till night, then she gets to know that he will be back only on Sunday evening…

Geet is very disappointed and leaves for college Sunday evening after waiting in the hope that he would come back at least before she leaves…

She’s happy that she could at least spend some time with Maan last night…

Maan comes back late on Sunday night and is happy that Geet has gone back to hostel….

Dadi tells Maan that Geet was waiting for him all day and left very disappointed..

Maan actually wants her to get used to these disappointments….

Maan is not liking the fact that she is becoming more and more fond of him….

Maan: I can’t help it dadi

Dadi: Maan, it's high time you realized that you have promised a future with that innocent girl, I don’t like your behavior with her much

Maan: I don’t like anything at all, I don’t want you to do anything without my knowledge

He strictly warns dadi not to repeat this again..

Maan leaves angrily from that place…

But dadi is not completely wrong….

Maan knows that in some way or the other he's encouraging something that is not going to happen….

He is at least letting Geet wish for more than what he could afford her…

He must put an end to this as soon as possible…

But Maan can’t react without any solid hint from Geet’s side…

He doesn’t know for sure if Geet has actually fallen in love with him or not….

He cannot take the risk of asking her something absurd like that….

He decided to wait until there is any concrete signal from Geet …

He is subconsciously wanting this to continue…

For the next few days Maan avoids any contacts with Geet deliberately …

Geet on the other hand can’t understand his indifference with her….

She has realized that Maan has no feelings for her like she has for Maan…

Geet tries to concentrate on her studies instead… everything goes well for a few days….

Maan even visited Chandigarh once and he successfully managed to kill his urge to meet Geet…

A few days pass without any interactions with Geet successfully… it was really hard for Maan too….
