Epilogue……

Geet continues to go to KC with Maan…

Maan is happy to have her by his side all day…

One day at KC…

Geet is having snacks in the canteen with Pinky..

Maan finds her missing at the cabin. .

He has just come from a meeting… he has some news to share with Geet… but Geet is busy with her friend…

Maan thinks that he should either transfer Pinky or Adi to the new Chandigarh office… then they will know his difficulties…

Maan calls Geet…

Maan: Geet, office aake kabhi toh kaam karo

Geet: aap aagaye? Itne jaldi?

Maan gets angry…

Maan: sorry for intervening your important meeting, bye

Maan cuts the call…

Geet looks at the time… it’s almost lunch time…

She was too busy talking with Pinky that she lost track of the time…

Geet rushes to the cabin.. she knows that Maan’s anger is valid..

Maan waits impatiently for Geet…

Geet gets in to find Maan sitting in his chair and waiting for her…

Geet: Maan, Gupta’s ki project final ho gaya kya?

Maan wouldn’t respond, he is still angry… .

Geet: I’m sorry Maan, mujhe kaise patha hoga ki aap ka meeting itni jaldi katam hoga?

Geet comes closer to him…

She holds her ears and apologizes…

Geet: mujhe maaf nahi karoge

As she tries to come forward she feels dizzy and falls..

Luckily Maan catches hold of her…

Maan thinks that she is acting..

Maan: Geet, stop this drama

Geet holds his hand and manages to get back on her feet…

Geet: Maan, aap abhi bhi naraz ho?

Geet makes a puppy face..

Maan has to give up…

Maan: pehle beito, mujhe kuch zaroori baat karni hai

Geet sits down…

Maan: you know what happened?

Geet: humme ye contract mil gayi, mujhe pehle hi patha tha, aap ne iss ke liye din raat kaam kiya haina?

Maan: tumne bhi toh saath diya tha

Geet: toh ye project humme hi milna chahiye

Maan: haan, ye project mil gayi, aur uss ke saath saath ek aur opportunity humme milli hai

Geet: achcha? Ye kaisa opportunity hai Maan?

Maan: Humne ek aur project mila hai, Gupta ji requested us to take up their sister concerns proposed commercial centre construction, at Penang, Malaysia

Geet: that’s great news Maan

Maan: it’s just a small project, but it’s anyways a good start

Geet: but we are yet to establish office there

Maan: you know that I’ve been planning something like this with my Malaysian friend, Aman, he will take care of everything there

Geet: I’m proud of you Maan

Maan: this will put us in the global platform

Maan looks really happy... Geet is also happy for him… he has been striving to get KC to the world level for a long time… now they are about to reach it..

Geet goes and hugs him….

Geet: congrats Maan, I’m so happy

Maan: I was thinking that we could celebrate with a special Lunch, but you’re already done with your lunch

Geet: koi problem nahi, you must be hungry na? We’ll go to your favourite Italian place

Maan: you know I’m not a foodie like you, there won’t be any fun that way, we’ll go sometime later

Geet: dinner?

Maan: ok fine, dinner

They go to a dabha and Geet enjoys her favourite spicy desi khana after a long time…

Next morning…

Maan is in the washroom shaving…

Geet knocks…

Geet: Maan, open the door, jaldhi

Maan: Geet, what’s the hurry? I’m coming

Geet knocks hard ..

Maan opens… Geet runs to throw up…

Maan is worried…

Maan: I knew this was coming, you keep munching something all day with Pinky, and last night too you were eating like there is no tomorrow

Maan holds her and helps her..

Geet keeps trying again and again..

Maan: bas karo Geet, pehle bahar aao

Maan takes her out…

Maan: ye lo, thoda pani piyo

Geet drinks the water and again runs to the washroom…

Maan: Geet, I think it must be food poisoning, I’ll call the doctor

Geet: rukho Maan

Geet comes out and stops him…

Maan: Geet, this looks serious, you should take a doctor’s advice

Geet: haan, par ye doctor nahi, a lady doctor

Maan: Geet, phone mein consult karne ke liye lady doctor hi kyun?

Geet: Maan, mujhe patha nahi aap itna buddu hoge

Maan then understands what she just said…

Maan: are you sure?

Geet blushes….

Maan hugs her and immediately carries her to the bed….

Maan: Geet, tum rest karo, mein doctor ko bhulata hoon

Geet: Maan, mein teek hoon, aur ye normal hai, meine Pari aur Annie didi ko dekha hai

Maan: but Geet, you should see a doctor

Geet: yes, we’ll go and see Mrs. Shakuntala, I’ll get an appointment

Maan: haan, that sounds good

Maan again hugs her…

Maan: Geet I thought that the Gupta project was the best news I could have wished for, but this is even better, and this is a big surprise for me, I didn’t have any dreams of my own family, let alone my very own children, but now I feel like I want to live my life like you, carefree and yet dedicated to the loved ones, I want to forget everything and just enjoy playing and watching cartoons with my kid

Maan is so excited about having his own kid, he has always taken the responsibilities of a father from a very young age, but now he is going to be a real father, and that’s something he never planned… he was not even thinking about marriage or having a family of his own…

All this is possible only because of Geet… Maan started to live for himself for a change after meeting Geet, he started loving his life after he fell in love with her…

Now, after hearing the good news he has already started wishing about his life with his kid… he has forgotten about his business dreams and his only concern now is his wife and his kid.. yes, he has turned selfish, for the first time in his life… and he deserves to be selfish at least at the later part of his life, haina?

Maneet start a new journey as parents… their love for each other grows every day as they realize the need for each other’s love and attention more and more…

The character of this Geet is that of an immature teenager, little selfish, highly opinionated, having many misconceptions about feminist theory and women’s freedom, but for me feminism or independence, it all depends on the individual and their surroundings…

And I believe that you can always and you should always have a little independence and time for the self in any relationship, irrespective of you being a woman or man, for the relationship to be successful… Geet started off with the belief in exclusive independent living, but ended up finding her happiness in a co-dependent relationship with Maan…

Maan who lived a life like huge banyan tree, nurturing everyone under his shade took Geet under his responsibility after marriage…

Initially he was so protective of Geet and tried his best to to save her from any unwanted trouble that she was bringing to herself in the name of love… .

But slowly he started yearning for the eluding love and care from Geet, he realized a need for her love and care, seeing her love and care for the other members of his family… jihe too has been missing that care from his parents for a long time…

The more Maan was denied that love and care from Geet, the more grew his longing…

No matter how old you grow, you always need that special attention of your parents…

Behind that hulk MSK is hiding that kid deprived of love and affection, as they say a wife takes the place of a mother in a man’s later half of his life, Geet rightly balanced between the attention seeking passionate young wife and the caring affectionate mother figure depending on the circumstances… she becomes the perfect partner for the MSK….

Maan and Geet are always made for each other no matter what their story is for us Maneetians…
