            Part – 97

Maan returns to Delhi while Geet stays back as it’s just a few days left for the grahapravesh….

Geet is at the site almost all the time, last minute tensions are unavoidable…

But being the first time Geet is a little stressed out…

She eats at the site itself, that too skipping food and relying on chai, biscuits which she mostly haves with the others…

Its time for the grahapravesh..

Dadima stays back with Annie and she couldn’t come to the function..

But she has sent her badibahu on her behalf, she is so happy for Maan…

This is the first time Maan is eagerly participating in a family function other than Annie’s functions…

Maan always avoids socialising and it’s always Dadi who attends the family functions, even Vicky would accompany her in the later years but not Maan…

Most of the relatives had seen Maan only at Annie’s wedding for the first time after so many years…

Then itself there were a few proposals coming his way but our Khurana sab was waiting for his Geet…

Dadi was quiet scared to talk about Maan’s wedding at that time after the Sameera drama..

Dadi wanted Maan to have a happy family and a normal life, so now she can happily retire…

Maan is happy to appreciate her dedication on the professional side, but he is worried as her pati…

Maan has come after a week, Geet is still at the site… . It’s way past 9 pm …

Work would go on non stop for the workers work in shifts, but what about Geet?

Maan is not happy that Geet has ignored her health, he knows that she has only recently recovered from that illness… she is already weak… how could she neglect her health?

He can see that she has become thin and weak with all the work load.. Geet is not even aware that Maan is here…

Maan straight away goes and forcefully takes her to the car…

Geet is happy to see Maan…

Geet: Maan, aap kab aaye, ek minute rukho, dekho woh kya kar raha hai, hare Maan, Maaan

Maan pushes her into the car and closes the door…

Maan gets in…

Geet: Maan, mujhe thoda know hai

Maan ignores her and starts the car….

Geet: ek minute mere baat ko suno

Maan turns and shuts her mouth…

Maan: chup bilkul chup, ye kya kar rahi ho Geet? Dekho ye kya haal bana ke rakha hai tumne? Aaise hi hotha toh tum phir se bimaar pad jaoge

Geet can see that he is really worried about her…

Geet moves forward and hugs him….

Geet: mujhe kuch nahi hoga, aap aagaye na

Maan: haan, ab tum chinta mat karo, kaam apne aap ho jayega, aur tum Friday tak aaram karogi, aur koi kaam ki baat nahi karogi, samjhi tum?

Geet: par Maan?

Maan gives her water to drink…

Geet drinks the water and tries to say something…

Maan: sshh, abhi tum bahut tak gaye ho, aakhen band karo aur sojao

Maan pushes the seat back and makes her rest comfortably….

Geet: lekhin aap abhi abhi aaye ho, mujhe aapse baat karna hai

Maan: baat to hum kal subha karenge, abhi mein bhi tak gaya hoon, tummare bak bak sunne ka strength nahi hai mere paas

Geet: kya?

Maan lies so that she will take some rest…

Maan switches on the music, and Geet’s favorite, melodies of Arjit, plays…

Geet falls asleep soon…

Maan drives slowly not to wake her up…

They have come to Beas…

Maan goes and opens the gate himself…

He has already informed nanaji that they are coming and asked him to keep the gate unlocked… he asked nanaji to keep the keys near the pot outside, and go to sleep…

Maan takes the car near the entrance, opens the door and comes and takes Geet in by carrying her in his arms…

Geet is fast asleep…

Maan makes her lie down on the bed… he lets her rest while he calls the supervisor and gets to know about the work progress…

He tells him that Maan would come to the site from now and not their favorite, “Geet ma’am”, to warn them that there is no room for excuses whatsoever…

Next morning Geet wakes up and finds a note from Maan..

“Good morning my “sleeping beauty”, call me when you wake up”

Geet smiles looking at the note and calls Maan…

Geet: good morning Maan, aap kahan ho?

Maan: tum pehle fresh hoke naastha karlo, channi has made your favourite aloo ka parathas

Geet ko bahut zor se bhook lagi Aloo paratha ka naam sunthe hi…

Geet: haan, mein jalthi naastha karke aathi hoon, aap site pe hi haina? Woh polishing complete hua ki nahi?

Maan: Geet, meine kaha na? koi kaam ki baat nahi, warna mein phone kaat doonga

Geet: nahi nahi, aaisa mat karo

Maan: tum bas teek se khao, juice piyo aur aaram karo, bore hothi toh nanaji se baat karlo

Geet: kyun? Aapse baat nahi kar sakti?

Maan: kar sakti Geet, ye kya poochne ki baat hai? Tum cgaho toh mein 24*7 connected rahoonga

Geet is so happy…

Geet: achcha, toh Anirudh kya kar raha hai, didi ko zyada tang toh nahi kartha na? Dadi kab aarahe hai?

Maan: hum badh mein baat karenge, pehle tum breakfast khake aao

Geet: teek hai

Maan keeps ordering her on the phone and he comes back early in the evening….

Geet is waiting for him…

She runs to see him as she hears the sound of the car engine…

She comes out to meet him… .

Maan gets out of the car and finds her coming towards him.. .

He catches hold of her and stops her….

Maan: Geet, itna bhi kya jaldi hai? Mein kahan bhaagnewala hoon?

Geet: woh mein

Maan: hare, aaram se Geet

Geet takes deep breaths…

Geet: Maan, mujhe long drive pe lekhe jao

Though Maan is tired he can’t say no to his Mishty…

Maan: chalo

All the way Geet inquires about everyone, even Nakul and Chandu…

Maan patiently answers her while admiring her bak bak …

Geet guides him to a beautiful lakeside…

They get out and take a walk along the edges…

The reflection of the moon shining bright in the night sky on the water is so beautiful…

Geet is a nature lover…

Geet: kitna sundar haina? Aaj chandni raat hai, issiliye meine socha aap ko yahan lekhe aaon, isn’t it so beautiful and enchanting!

Maan is only looking at her beautiful face lit up in the moonlight, she looks more beautiful when she is happy and with Maan…

Maan is lost in her beauty..

Geet: Maan, Maan, aap abhi bhi kaam ke barein mein soch rahe ho?

Maan pulls her closer and makes eye contact…

Maan: tum saath ho toh mein kaam kya, pure duniya bhool jaatha hoon Geet

Geet blushes and Maan can’t take his eyes off her…

Geet: mujhe patha nahi tha ki aap itna romantic hoge

Maan: mein toh aaisa nahi tha pehle, par tum mere paas hothi toh najaane mujhe kya ho jaatha

Maan keeps staring her…

Geet: aaise dekh dekh ke hi aapne mujhe pagal banaya, aap ke nazar mein hi kuch jaadu hai

Maan: dekhne wale jeez ko dekhna hai aur

Maan keeps looking at her lips.. .

Geet: aur k

Maan doesn’t let her to continue her inquiry session…

They keep walking holding their hands and enjoying each other’s company…

They have come a long way from the car…

They turn back to see that the car is out of sight..

Geet struggles to walk after a while… Maan as usual comes to her rescue…

As Maan carries her, Geet happily puts her arms around his neck and starts to watch the beautiful night sky…

Its more beautiful in this angle, while she admiring the nature’s beauty Maan is admiring his very own beauty..

Geet feels the intensity of his looks…

Geet: Maan, yahan kya dekh rahe ho? Chand Ko dekho, mujhe toh har waqt dekte hi haina?

Maan still keeps staring her only…

Geet: Maaan?

Maan: Geet? Mujhe disturb mat karo

Geet: Maan, aap car ko pass karke aagaye ho

Maan: mujhe patha hai

Actually Maan didn’t notice the car…

Geet: toh mujhe kahan lekhe jaane ka irada hai?

Maan: jahan mere alawa aur kuch nahi tumne dikhayi na de, chand, Tara, suraj, aur najaane tummare list mein kya kya hai? mere alawa sab kuch hai

Maan is very disappointed..

Geet smiles…

Geet: aap bechare Chandamama se jalte ho?

Maan: haan, mein nahi chahta ki tum mere samne kissi aur ke tareef karo

Geet: mein toh aapki ye possesive attitude se hi fida ho gayi thi

Maan: kyun ki tum sirf meri ho, Maan ki Geet

Geet is happy to remain as “Maan ki Geet” forever….

She now knows the value of being “Maan ki Geet”, har kissi ko aaisa Saathi nahi milta..

Maan is still lost in the moment… he is so happy that finally Dadi’s false statement turned into reality, now he has no doubt that Geet loves him and him only… he also knows that Geet has never been in love with someone like she has fallen in love with him….
