Maan keeps walking towards the door…. 

Geet shouts…. 

Geet: rukh jao, meri baat abhi bakhi hai 

Maan just stops without even interested in truning back and looking at her again…. 

Geet continues…. 

Geet: I love Dev and I want to marry him 

Maan wonders why is she telling him….. 

He is now fed-up with her “l love Dev” japs…. 

Geet, you are addressing the wrong person again, Maan has nothing to do in your life now… 

It’s your problem not his….

Geet on the other hand doesn’t think that way…. Woh toh hamesha tedha hi sochthi na? 

Dekhte hai ki ab uska tedha dimag mein kya chal raha hai… 

Geet: but my stupid family won’t let me be happy, they pushed me into this weird marriage set up 

Maan can’t believe that a girl could be stupid enough to play with her own life like this… no Maan, she is trying to play with your life…. 

But Maan has to give the benefit of doubt to her, she doesn’t know what Maan was thinking while marrying her na? Maan never even tried to exercise his rights as a husband any time…. 

What if it was someone else in Maan’s place?

Geet’s life would have become miserable then… 

Maan is only happy that she chose him for he can’t even imagine putting Geet in any kind of trouble… She is almost 10 years younger to him… 

With such a big age difference, men tend to take the full responsibility of their partners….  there is always a sense of guilt that they are not the best choice for their partners, owing to the simple fact that their partners would easily get much better choices, yet they have ended up with you….. 

When Maan met her at Hoshiarpur as the girl who is going to marry his little brother, Vicky, the first thing that came to his mind was that there is going to be yet another addition to the Khurana family, Geet being  the youngest of them all and him being the head of the family, he had promised himself that he would take care of this girl too just like Annie and Vicky… 

Maan’s only regret is that his own family lied to him that Geet liked him and he was also stupid enough to buy it… 

Maan is now frustrated that Geet likes someone else …He can’t accept the fact that he is not Geet’s first preference but just an escape route from her problem… 

Maan is very much disappointed for he actually loved the fact that Geet likes him… 

Maan is not yet ready to accept the actual truth, the truth is, he didn’t get excited or happy when he first heard that Geet likes him, but later on happily accepted that she likes him only after she really came into his life as his wife, after which he slowly started  falling in love with Geet… 

Geet: but now my family has no rights over my decision for I’m officially your wife now 

Geet looks convinced that she has smartly overcome her hurdles…. You are actually a fool when you do something as silly as this and still believe that you are the world’s most intelligent person…. Poor girl… 

Maan: so you actually accept that you are my wife?

That gives a false hope for Maan… 

Geet: on paper

There comes the reply, the bitter truth… 

Maan hides his feelings within himself, the art that he has mastered over the years for the sake of his siblings…. 

He turns and looks at Geet…. Does she even know what she is doing or what it all means?

Maan is doubtful…. For him she looks like a kid who lost the way in the middle trying to run from home looking for the magical land of the fairies… here Geet believes that Dev is her knight who would save her from the dungens and take her to the skies…. 

Maan understands one thing clearly, it’s none of his business to interfere and he has to stay away from her madness which is infectious… 

Maan has already experienced the influence of her madness… he almost lost his heart… luckily he has not yet lost his mind…. 

Maan asks her in a calm and composed tone…. 

Maan: may I know what is my wife’s further plans so that I can be prepared too not to be fooled again

Geet: I too want this to be open, whatever it is we need to work it out together

Maan wonders what is there working rightly for him in this marriage… 

Maan shouldn’t be upset for this marriage was forced upon him against his will, but sometimes you get used to things which you won’t even think you would be doing even in your worst nightmare… 

Somewhere Maan is feeling bad though he might not want to accept it due to his huge ego… 

Nothing can affect MSK, definitely not some stupid girl who can’t even take care of her own life and thinks that her happiness lies in the hands of that fool… 

Maan can’t digest the fact that Geet wants to be a slave to that mean aadmi, Maan hates that Dev to the core… 

But he is young and good looking, just what every girl of Geet’s age wishes for… 

Maan saw more insecurity and authority than love in that Dev’s eyes….

Geet is naïve, honest and delicate… she needs to be protected for she looks like a puppet in his hands… 

But Geet loves to be a puppet and most importantly she loves that Dev… that’s what matters now… 

Why would Geet like someone much older than her?… 

She deserves to choose a partner of her age… 

Even if it is not that rogue, it could be someone about her age, who would match her mindset, some one who is also from gen z and not a millennial like Maan…. 

Maan needs some time to process all the news that he got to know about Geet and his so called wedding… 

Maan: let’s talk about this later Geet, I’m too exhausted

Maan leaves Geet alone and goes out for a long drive to vent his frustrations else he would probably hurt Geet… 

He could never hurt Geet… 

Happy women's day... 

Let's give a big shout out of women hood....

Never mind fighting for equality... 

Be proud challengers... 

Show them that we are not equal competitors but tough competitors...
