Geet goes to look what’s cooking… 

She helps Nakul in setting the table…

Payal is surprised to see Geet being such a responsible bahu…

No, she is not complaining about her bahu….

They all have lunch together….

Geet serves Annie’s in-laws as they are the special guests…

Maan who was about to join everyone comes to help Geet in service….

Annie: Geet, uncle and aunty are one of the family, you too come and join us, Nakul and chandu haina

Geet: that was before Arjunji became our damad, now we have to give due respect to his parents, haina Dadima?

Dadi is nearly in tears..

Dadi: I’m happy that I have found the perfect daughter for the Khurana pariwaar, now I feel the family is complete after a long time

Payal: she’s just like Sheetal, maaji you are lucky to find someone like Geet for Maan, though we don’t feel like guests, it feels good when the relationships are valued like they still do in our villages

Payal is also from some interior Punjab village, she remembers how they still give respect to her in-laws and even Avinash….

Avinash: this is not your remote village, this is Delhi and don’t expect the same treatment from my daughter (Annie)

Payal: you always find fault with me or else your food won’t digest properly, aaj toh diet bhi nahi

Dadi: If Annie had a bua then she should have been like Payal only, she is also our girl and don’t you dare say anything about her at her maika Avinash

Avinash: ab sab ek hi gaye aur mein akhele ho gaya hoon jo iss pariwaar ka nahi ho saktha

Geet: uncle aap mere papa jaise hi ho, toh hum ek team hai

Avinash: then why uncle? Call me papa bete

Geet: papa ab hum, app aur Arjun bhaiya ab ek team hai

Payal: toh Maan aur Annie mere team mein hai

Avinash: you never let my side get bigger, dadi is with us, haina maaji?

Dadi: I’m with my daughter’s

Payal: ab kya karoge?

Geet: don’t worry uncle, we may not have the numbers but we’re the ones who are going to rule

Avinash: where were you all these days? Now let me show her who is the boss here

Arjun: papa aap zindagi bar yahi nahi rukh sakthe, ghar bhi toh jaana hai yaad rakhna

Avinash: tumme meri kushi se itna bhi kya problem hai?

Everyone have a great time….

Payal: so maaji, hum apne beti ko saath lekhe jaana chahthe hai

Dadi doesn’t understand it….

Payal: we want to take care of Annie, after all she is carrying our vansh and I have always felt that it’s my responsibility, I want to care for her as a mother at this time

Payal is pointing the absence of Annie’s mother….

Dadi has no answer for that….

Dadi: humme poochne ki kya zaroorat hai beta, she’s your daughter now

Maan: she can stay wherever she wants, it’s a just a matter of few minutes

Annie is keeping silence….

Arjun: so what do you say Annie?

Avinash:

Actually Maan had no plans of marriage for he has been a complete family man with two lovely kids without a marriage……..

He is already in his early thirties and he feels like he is fifty with a daughter married and a son waiting for marriage,,,,

He had planned a retirement after Vicky’s marriage…. But here he is ready to start afresh….

Everyone was worried that Maan will remain a loner for life….

Only Dadi knows how much Maan has sacrificed for his family….

After all those years of hardship Maan deserves all the happiness in the world at least for the rest of his life, for that Maan needs someone who could bring the happiness back in his life…..

He has shouldered the responsibilities of his family all alone and now he needs someone to share his joys and sorrows….

Dadi wanted to see him happy and she thought only a girl do that….

It’s not that Maan took his duties as a burden, he is happy on his way but Dadi is not satisfied with that, she wants him to start a life of his own at least now with wife and children….

Maan was stubborn that he would never get married for he has no interest in that, and honestly he didn’t want to ruin a girl’s life…..

Maan somehow managed to stay away from marriage all these years, but this time around dadi got the better of him……

After that too Maan was never interested in starting his own family, Maan can’t imagine a family beyond Annie and Vicky…..

Dadi kept pestering Maan to get married so that she could hand over the family responsibilities to her bahu just as she handed over the business to Maan so that she can retire peacefully….

But Maan never had the time to think about himself and with the responsibilities of his little brother and sister above his shoulders he didn’t feel the need to get married even when he was young….

Maan had to steady the business that was under a little stress owing to tough competitions when Maan took over….
