IMPORTANT

COVID 19-21

Today I am here to inform you guys about this crisis we went through yesterday.

our lives had suddenly turned black yesterday when my uncle started gasping for air due to COVID generated severities - we had money but no oxygen, we had people but no transport, we wanted so many things and we were helpless.

thankfully my uncle is on oxygen support and his oxygen saturation level that had gone below 70 % is now reviving. (if you know the severity of COVID then you know the dangerous bells are ringing frantically if your O.S.L. is this low).

you guys might be knowing more than me but as someone who suffered a lot in the last 24 hours, I want to tell you a few things you guys should keep in mind at least till the oxygen crisis and health infrastructure is accommodating enough for all.

1. You have a fever, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, body ache, and your WIDAL test(test for Typhoid) or Malaria or Dengue is positive still, please go for the RT PCR, My uncle's widal report was positive and for a week we were giving him the medicines for Typhoid... the crucial time to control COVID was gone and suddenly he was gasping for breath.

2. keep a tab on nearby Medical oxygen supply centers, get information about what are the different types of oxygen cylinders available, and what capacity is needed in such a crisis for the first 24-48 hours.

3. stay positive, help is available if we work efficiently, don't hesitate to call that long-lost relative or friend you were not talking to for years cause you never know how important our family's life is over anything.

4. in our case, we were lucky we got a kind person who carried my uncle for nearly 8 hours as his driver, they were denied in 3 hospitals but somehow they got admitted to a 4th one after some 18 hours of him getting breathless... I believe it was somehow his willpower and the kindness of God.

COVID is not unbeatable but we need to take care of it from the first day of infection or whenever it is confirmed. stay positive in these tough times.

Give time to the affected person to recover, don't rush the doctors, they are trying everything they have in their hands.

please follow the COVID guidelines, stay safe and never lose hope.

I'll be back soon.

Morusya.
