Flashback in blue

She had danced the whole day and her legs hurt. Slipping into the sofa as soon as she entered into their home, she leaned back her head and stretched out her slightly swollen legs. Reaching up, she switched on the fan and her eyes shut automatically to get some much needed rest from the tiring day.

"Baa... look at her lazing away... A man comes home from office and instead of serving him, look at how she is sleeping"

"Wake her up. She was dancing all day in the kitchen and now she is shirking her duties. Pull her up"

And together they pulled her out of the bed together giving her the shock of her life. The tirade of scolding and abuse that followed scarred her for life.

"Sorry sorry sorry... I won't... I won't sleep again... please forgive me... Baa... please... sorry sorry.. please give me any punishment don't break my dancing doll... It's a gift... Please forgive me... please please..."

He found her mumbling and trembling in her sleep as he entered. Quickly he went to her and his heart broke to see her strained face and clutched hands. A string of colorful words formed in his brain for the vile people who were the reason for her current state. Taking a deep breath, he swallowed his anger for her. He gently put his arms on her shoulder and shook her.

"Anu... Anu..."

She opened her eyes, looking dazed. He embraced her. Placing a soft kiss on her forehead, he asked

"Are you tired?"

She nodded silently. He scooped her up in his arms and carried her to their bedroom. Making her sit, he propped up some pillows against the headrest and made her lean it. He turned around to bring her some water when she grabbed his hands and nodded in negative.

"Please stay.... I.. uh..."

She bit her lip nervously not knowing if she should tell him or not. He understood her hesitation and sat down beside her. Holding her hands tightly in his, he looked into her eyes gently beckoning her to open up.

"I am scared... I am scared that they will come back the minute I close my eyes... please stay..."

He nodded and moved closer to her feet. Taking them he placed in his lap and started massaging them gently. He felt her muscles gently relax at his touch. Bending down he let his lips graze her toes. The soft touch made her insides melt. Moving his lips upto her ankle and placing a wet kiss there, he said

"Anu... you are with me now... you are safe... you are loved..."

Turing his head slightly, he placed another on her other ankle and continued 

"You are mine... and I won't let any harm come to you... I promise"

Moving her saree slightly up, he started trailing kisses up her leg. She moaned as she felt her tensed body unwinding at his ministrations. Placing he hand on his shoulders, she pulled him up and her stormy eyes met his dark ones. Taking in a deep breath, she said

"Make love to me, Anuj."

That night, as she moaned his name again and again in pleasure, she felt exactly as he had promised.... safe and loved... but more importantly... she felt his... Anuj's Anupama.
