IG ; Please state-

Michael; Michael Brian Fredricks.

IG ; Did you work with Constable Varun on his first case?.

Michael; Yes his first case when he  joined CID last year , it was an armed robbery 

IG ; How was Varun on the field?

Michael; He was perceptive , he asked the right questions to the victims and the bystanders on the scenes , searched for clues , in a nutshell he did his job perfectly

IG ; How did you nab the criminal?

Michael ; We did a series of searches to all the stores which sold stolen goods , tracked down the store and with the help of the crook running it we were able to catch the robber

IG ; How was Varun helpful in the case?..

Michael ; He was the one who tracked down the store , not bad for a rookie , I did the rest of the heavy lifting

IG ; What made you so distracted that you left a trainee officer to conduct a crucial part of the investigation?

Michael ; Like I told you  I was giving him first hand experience as to how to work on a case like this

IG ; While that is very noble , was that the only reason? Or the reason you were so distracted was because you were conducting a private investigation of your own?

Michael ; I was under the impression that we were talking about Varun...

IG; We are talking about everything that directly or indirectly connects with Varun , and his first case was a big part of his career , the very case  in which you were preoccupied with something else while a trainee officer was working on his own-

Michael ; That's enough! All due respect and everything , you were the one who recruited me when you were the ACP but  you're projecting your own shortcomings upon me , you're treating Varun like he was some nutcase! He was not! We had a corrupt official who is by the way your superior , the former inspector general of police , you worked directly under him as DIG  and never questioned his ways! If left upto me I would investigate you first! (Looks at ADGP and DGP ) both of you are his superiors , why aren't you questioning him? He may as well be directly involved with the former IG!

IG ; I appreciate your concern sub-inspector Micheal , but I've already given my statement and my superiors are supervising  me doing this investigation. Now please calm down and inform the panel about your other investigation

Michael ; I was searching for a friend of mine , he's a cop name is K.Sudhakar , he worked here until April 2005 and then left , for what I thought was a transfer , he didn't even inform me that he was leaving , and I asked ACP about his whereabouts and he told me he was in Bihar , I didn't check in with Bihar because he never informed anyone before he left , but last year I was curious and contacted all police and CID departments in Bihar  and found out that no one by the mane of Sudhakar transferred to thier bureau in 2005.....so I had my CI's in search for him , answering your question that was the reason I was preoccupied when Varun was working with me ......a search for a missing cop should have been the top priority of the highest of my officials since Sudhakar never left Mumbai but you were busy ass-kissing that corrupt son of a-

IG ; Did you find your friend?

Michael; No I didn't

IG ; You may leave
