Prologue - Reminisce

It was a beautiful evening. The sunset making the sky  wonderful and beautiful patterns in the sky was worth absorbing anyone in their own thought. A slight chilly wind touching her bare arm. She was in her navy blue sleeveless top and cotton pyjama. Style was her forte. Earlier it came as affluence but now even with less means, style was in built her. Material may not be as costly as before but still whatever she wore showed her class.

And same was with him. Style and class just poured out of him. Even if he was given the lower grade material. His personality was just beyond the money. She smiled as his thought crossed her mind. Slight small drop of tears at corner of her eyes. The tear drop was light but heart was heavy.

“Gee-eet” Brij broke her trance.

“Yeah Veerji. Was just pondering on this” she showed paper in her hand

“So what have you thought. Are you going to take it up”?

“What do I do Veerji? Everything about this appointment letter is  so tempting. The package, the Role and” she stopped

“And him” Brij completed.

“I really don’t want to complicate things Veerji. Trust me, not at least for him”

“Does he know it is you who will be joining as his business advisor, if you take this job”

“No. I figured out. He is too busy to know who is joining. His efficient team does it. He was touring all the while when I was going through the interview process. It is a campus select Veerji.”

“Drop the offer Geet.” “No Veerji, I need to join for many reason.”

Brij shook his head and left.

At dinner time, all were quiet. Her Papaji was anyways not able to say anything due to his paralytic attack.

Geet’s appointment letter has scratched the old memory for everyone. All were in guilt, except Brij and Meera. Brij and Meera were only angry on their selfish family. And Meera was worried. Worried for that boy. She looked at her sister who was lost in her own thought.

The moment Meera had heard about Geet’s appointment letter, she has excused herself from her 4-year son and husband for one night. Since she has come, she has been explaining Geet to drop the offer

“Spare him Geet.”

“I am just joining a job I have been offered Di. We need this high package job to run this house smoothly. I don’t see any big deal. A job in London, Good to answer back to that Rohan”

“And where is Geet wrong? It is his duty to come forward and help. He never looked back to see the condition of family” Ranoo complained

“Really Mom?” Brij shook his head and left as Meera left with him.

Geet kept taking walk on the apartment society park. Many were walking after dinner. Meera left Geet in her thought as she moved to talk to other ladies in the children park.

While walking she heard a hush in the corner, she knew they were school boy and a girl, making out. She smiled and shook her head, remembering her own adventurous acts during high school days. And with that came back his memories. Beautiful memories. Beautiful for her, humiliating for him. How the young, most handsome boy, best in studies, crush of most girl –was just a tool of experimentation for her.

Ohh what a rich spoilt brat she was. And how he was her tool to explore the reality of those adult videos she would watch with her friends. That Juvenile age. Smiled formed on her face as her heart became heavy. How hesitant he would be to do all weird stuff she demanded, but at last he had to abide and bow down to her wish. And why not – He was INDEBTED to her family.

And it was all so safe, he would not leak a word out about her deeds. It would always be locked and confined in his heart.
