Chapter 10

Taani is in the locker room, getting the file of NDC details to give to Maya, the girls of the gang arrive, "Swayam aaj kuch weird behave nai kar rha tha?" Simmi asks, "Haan muje bhi esa laga" Kriya says, Taani slams her locker shut making other's look at her, "Hi Taani" Kriya says looking at Taani with a small smile, "Hey Kriya, you settling in okay?" Taani politely asks, "She is, after all she unlike 'someone' does have friends in the college" Simmi says with a mean smile making Kriya and Sharon frown, "Simmi" Sharon says, "I have to go, see you around Kriya" Taani leaves. 

Taani used to the gangs behavior doesnt spare it a moments thought and hurries towards Maya's cabin, she is huffing a little by the time she reaches there and she walks in, "One you are 12 mins late and second hasn't anyone told you that you should knock before entering someone's office?" Maya says looking up from the assignments she was grading, "One, the locker room is on the ground floor and your cabin is on the second floor, second people knock on the doors out of respect which to be honest I don't really have for you" Taani replies in a mocking tone, Maya is looking at her with curiosity now, "Miss GS, get out of my cabin and knock before coming, right now" Maya says in an authoritative voice getting up from her chair and moving towards Taani, "I am doing no such thing, here is the file you asked for, you are welcome" Taani puts the file on Maya's table and is going to leave but Maya lightly grabs her elbow to stop her making Taani hiss in pain, Maya quickly let's her go, "Kya hua?", "Aapse matlab, I have classes to get to" Taani says leaving quickly. 

Taani goes to the Canteen for lunch and sees Shreya waiting for her at their usual table in the corner, "Tumhari Di is the meanest person I have ever met in my life, she has no manners aur muje mannerless kehti he, order karti rehti he muje as if I am her slave or something, uper se thank you tak nai bola after I gave her the file she asked me for, ughhh" Taani goes into a rant mode as soon as she sits down, Shreya is looking at her in astonishment, "Taani, breathe, yeh le pani pi le" Shreya says offering her a glass of water. "thanks, see itna hard he kya ek thank you bolna?" Taani says still riled up which is making it harder for Shreya not to laugh. "Tu, tu has rhi he mujpe? Waha ek behen mera dimag kharab kar rhi he aur dusri mujpar has rhi he" Taani says pouting. 

"Di ko bhul ja, tell me did you like Aman? He really liked you, he said that you should definitely join us for the Friday club nights" Shreya says with a smile, "I would love to but teri di ke sath muje time spend karke ka bilkul man nai he" Taani says making a face, "So you won't spend time with me because of your dislike towards my sister?" Now its Shreya's turn to pout, "esa nai he, I love spending time with you and I liked Aman as well, he is a sweet guy, you are a lucky girl" Taani says with a smile making Shreya blush, "haan toh bas settle he, you are coming with us this Friday as well", "I can't this Friday, as a matter of fact your Di can't either, NDC finals he na, we will leave for it on Thursday and will be back on Saturday" Taani says. 

"Oh, Di kyun aa rhi he?", "VP sir ke orders apparently" Taani replies, "actually I had to ask you something, would you like to be the AGS? Rey had resigned when the NDC had started and I could really use some help with all these college extra work", Taani says. "Me aur AGS? Uske liye elections nai hote?" Shreya asks, "Usually hote he but VP sir has told me recommend him someone, I have seen your marks, you are really brilliant and you want to do masters after college right? This will good on your application as well, so would you want to be the AGS?" Taani asks again, "I don't know, I never really thought about it, what if I am not good at it?" Shreya asks unsurely, "if you aren't thn you will learn, do a trial run na, assist me with the NDC thing, agar tumhe nai jamta toh resign kar dena" Shreya agrees and they quickly finish their lunch. 

They part ways, Shreya goes for her class while Taani goes to the RH with VP sir to check out the gangs routine again. "Guys I hope you have prepared better, the competition is this week" VP sir says looking at the gang, Taani looks around but doesn't see Kriya, she locks her eyes at Rey and looks away. "Yes sir, we are ready" Sharon says with confidence.

They perform perfectly this time, "Not bad, keep it up and I am sure we will win the NDC" VP sir says looking at them making the gang beam at him.

"Taani have you heard that Prof Maya is going to accompany you guys for the competition?" VP sir says looking at Taani, "Yes sir, sir I wanted to recommend someone for the AGS post, my hands will be full with the NDC and it would be helpful if I had helping hand" Taani says to him, "But Taani Rey is the AGS right? He is only taking a small break because of the competition" Sharon says, "Sharon Rey has resigned, I need someone to fill in his place-" Taani is interrupted by Bharath, "Toh esa bolna ki tere se nai ho rha he", "Enough, it would be better if you guys focused on your competition rather thn something that isn't any of your business" VP sir says sharply, "As Taani stated earlier, Reyansh has resigned, the post is empty, who is the person that you wanted to recommend Taani?" He says turning towards Taani, the gang is glaring at Taani except Rey and Swayam, ignoring the glares Taani focuses on VP sir and says "Shreya Oberoi sir, she is an excellent student and I am sure she will be a good AGS", "hmm good choice, send her to my office later" and thn VP sir and Taani leave. 

"Yeh apne aap ko samajti kya he, she made the GS because of Rey and now-", Vicky is interrupted by Swayam, "enough, we should be focusing on the competition right now", "Swayam is right, let's get back to practicing" Rey says.
