“I will miss you.." Riddhima gave Nia a rueful smile

"Me too" Nia gave her a half hug

"aww so sweet, me three" Sahil came around to hug them and both girls simultaneously pushed him "Shut up Sahil"

"See this is what I call partiality" Sahil cribbed childlike “and riddz did you forget, I am here. You have me"

"She likes me more you doofus" Nia countered and before he could argue some more she started "let's eat fast I have to leave and so do you. Give me all the details on call" she looked pointedly at Riddhima

Currently, they were having lunch after which she will shortly leave for VR Mansion and Nia will leave for her mother's hometown. Her grandmother was sick and she wished to visit Nia...

Riddhima just hoped her visit to the VR mansion will work out alright. She did not need additional tension in her life, as it is Sejal did not speak with her in the morning as well, Riddhima thought her mood will improve after a good night’s sleep.

Suddenly her phone vibrated, she saw an unknown number flash across her screen. She excused herself so as not to disturb them as Sahil was explaining some interesting psychology case he is working on.

“Hello?”

“Good Afternoon Dr. Riddhima” disbelievingly she looked at her phone screen as if she could see the person speaking with her.

“Mr. Rai Singhania?”

“Glad you remember my voice,” Vansh smirked

“How did? Who gave you my number?” no one from the hospital informed her about sharing her number with this man.

“Do you really think I won’t have the number of the person who is going to visit my home for my sister’s treatment? I suggest you save my number as well after all we will be interacting more frequently from now on…” he took a brief pause before saying “Did you leave? I have sent a car. Aangre is waiting outside.”

“What? But it’s just 1.15 and I am having my lunch. I will leave by 2” her response was terse because of him they had to prepone their lunchtime.

“You can have your lunch at my place. There will be traffic, I hate people being late for their commitments.” He was being very pushy. Riddhima would have liked to contradict him saying it's afternoon there won’t be much traffic. Yesterday they reached in 45-50 mins. But she recalled his yesterday’s behavior and kept quiet.

“Fine, I will leave in a few minutes.” She cut the call not wanting to listen to his further demands.

After she had bid farewell to Nia, Sahil went in and she left for VR Mansion

As mentioned Aangre was waiting outside with the car. As soon as he saw her, he opened the back door.

“Sunny was asking about you. You are not answering his calls for the last two weeks.” Ragini informed Ishani tentatively.

“So what? I am busy. I don’t have time to answer his silly questions…” Ishani replied irritated

“He is just worried about you. Are you coming out tonight? Maybe you two can meet?” she suggested.

“Bye" was Ishani's only response

“Please do come, I worry about you both. He is miserable you know…” Ragini gave a sad smile

Ragini was driving towards her home when she scoffed ‘I am busy. What a drama queen! As if she does any work’

Ragini and Sunny Agrawal were cousins. Her father was a businessman who luckily got a chance to work with Vansh. It was her and her parents' dream that she gets married to Vansh and why not he was rich, successful, handsome, and from what she heard the rumors terrific in bed. She had been trying to gain his attention for years now, but he would not even look at her. For Vansh she tried to befriend Ishani thinking she will bring her closer to Vansh. But that did not happen. Vansh did not even give her a chance to stay a night at Mansion. She can only visit but never stay.

She felt like her plan was a total flop. She could not ensnare Vansh’s attention and on top of that she had to tolerate Ishani’s temper tantrums and that Aaryan’s flirting. Ishani treated her more like an attendant than a friend. Like brother like a sister. But then Sunny came into the picture and they decided to gain Vansh’s attention may take some time but till then they can trap the sister.

Thus, the plan started Sunny tried to woo her in every single way, but she will just get annoyed or angry. Ragini had her doubts maybe something was going on between Aangre and Ishani, but never got any solid proofs.

Nevertheless, something changed that night. She saw Aangre and Ishani dancing at a party. Ishani was unusually happy. They left the party hand in hand. Just when she thought it was over something bizarre happened.

Ishani came to meet Sunny the next morning, asked him out on a date. Since then both were on and off. When she will get bored with Sunny, she will break up with him and he will keep running behind her thinking one day she will realize that it was Sunny who was with her always. Right now, one of those stages was going on. Ishani ignoring and Sunny will go after her. It did not matter much it’s not like he was really in love with her or was being faithful. It was just for money. Now only if she could capture Vansh’s attention.

Once again, she entered the same house reluctantly, this time she was led to another sitting room instead of the one where she was waiting yesterday. Aangre in tow with her. Already individuals were present there. She did not recognize anyone but Sia. This is the Rai Singhania family Riddhima concluded. She realized someone was staring at her, she turned to her left to see a guy about Vansh’s height scanning her from head to know. His gaze made her very uncomfortable.

Swiftly someone blocked her from his gaze. It was none other than The Vansh Rai Singhania. Where did he come from? Both looked at each other before Riddhima turned her head to look at family members.

“A few days back Aangre informed you about the change in Sia’s doctors I believe.” Vansh started directly without waiting for anybody’s response. I have called you all here today to introduce you to the new doctor who will be taking over Sia's treatment.” And so, the introductions began…

Aside from Mrs. Chandrika Rai Singhania who very sweetly told her that she would like to be called dadi. Riddhima felt everyone was looking at her as if she is someone below their status. What disturbed her were Ishani and Aaryan. Ishani Rai Singhania was looking at her with contempt and Aaryan Shukla was another case altogether he gave a flirtatious smile while trying to check her out. Others were indifferent towards her.

After the introduction was done Vansh told Mrs. D’souza to take Sia and Riddhima upstairs. This time she was led to the lift and they got down to the 2nd floor. Mrs. D’souza was like a strict schoolteacher. It felt as if you keep one toe out of the line and she will be there with a long scale to punish you. Mrs. D’souza was head of servants, so she assigned duties to every servant in the house.

As they reached their destination, she was shown Sia’s room and the place where she will do her routine. It was an adjoining room to her bedroom. On the way, Mrs. D’souza instructed her to not wander anywhere. To call on Service number if you need anything. The 4th and 5th floors are restricted areas as those floors belong to Mr. Vansh Rai Singhania. As if she had any desire to be there…

Once Mrs. D’Souza left Riddhima turned to Sia with a smile it was time to get properly acquainted with her patient.

“Since when did you start introducing outsiders? wasn’t that your servant’s work?” Ishani sneered as she followed Vansh. He exhaled, his back turned to her. he had expected that she will notice. Every one must have noticed it as well, after all, he never did something like this. But no one will dare to question him except Ishani. That did not mean he will tolerate her nonsense. No one speaks to Vansh in this manner and leaves unscathed.

“Since the day you started torturing every girl that entered this mansion with Aangre” Vansh replied giving her a wicked smile. He saw her face turn as white as paper and she quickly looked at Aangre.

Even Aangre was shocked but over the years he had learned how to keep his face neutral. He looked back at them indifferently. Did he know about them? he thought. Won’t be a shocker though Vansh always seems to know everything. No one can hide anything from him.

“Any more questions?” He mocked her. Ishani gritted her teeth and left without answering him.

“Please call me Sia. Ms. Rai Singhania sounds too dry and professional.” Sia smiled at the girl. She took an instant liking towards her. She was very soft-spoken.

“Only if you call me Riddhima instead of Dr. Ridhhima” Riddhima replied cheekily

“Deal” Sia forwarded her hand for a shake with a smile which she accepted readily

“Let’s start with basics first…”

“What are you doing? Vansh started a new business adventure. Did not include you and what about Aaryan, what have you thought about him? Don’t you want him to involve in business?” Chanchal complained to her husband as she paced the room.

“Chanchal will you please shut up!” Rudra half-shouted at her “Here I am not getting any chance to work, and you are asking me about Aaryan? Vansh removed me from the Iris project, stating the reason that I am not giving the expected results. Now I only have 1 project to assist.”

“WHAT?” Chanchal almost shouted. “How can he do that? you are his family member”

“Since when did Vansh start caring about family? and technically we are not even his family.” He took a deep breath before saying “Look Chanchal Aaryan is my son, I care about him, but can you please ask your darling son if he is interested in business? He never showed any interest in working for the business.”

Chanchal knew what Rudr said was true, it was only them who wanted to include Aaryan in business, but even if by some miracle Vansh did agree to give him chance will Aaryan take the opportunity presented?

Riddhima was teaching Sia some basic routine workout for hands as being in a wheelchair she will use her hands a lot. It’s been almost half an hour and Sia was a quick learner though they had to make a stop in between since got tired quite quickly. Suddenly Sia stopped exercising and tensed. Riddhima turned around to see VRS leaning by the door with folded arms

How long had he been standing there? Riddhima wondered.

“Hello Mr. Singhania, what brings you here?”

“You” he replied with a straight face…

What?” she was shocked

“I am here to see how things” he replied and then smirked, “What did you think?”

Riddhima was about to answer back when he held up his hand, I think we should move this discussion in private, let’s not disturb her. He called a maid and told her to stay with Sia for a while.

Riddhima turned to Sia and told her to repeat the workout and left with him

He took her to the gallery area in Sia’s room.

“So, you did not answer my question? What did you think I was there for” Vansh asked her.

“Nothing. You wanted to speak about something?” the less she spoke with him the better

“Yes. Now if you could quickly tell me what it is, I can return to my patient” she replied in a monotone

“From tomorrow onwards you will eat lunch here," Vansh ordered

Her eyes narrowed as she replied “No. You can’t order me like that. I always have lunch with my friends”

“You can have lunch here it will save time and you will reach on time” she opened her mouth to deny when he took a step close to her and said “I don’t like arguments Riddhima. I thought you must have understood that by now. Don't argue with me.”

Riddhima glared back. He was referring to yesterday’s events. “Okay”

“I…Okay?” now it was Vansh’s turn to be confused. He never thought she will agree so soon and he can see she was still very angry. What was she trying to do?

“Okay. That is what I said right? Now can I go back to my patient?” she asked sarcastically

He nodded his head still trying to figure her out as she left...

Okay, so I wrote this chapter 3 times because I was not satisfied with previous versions. I just want it to be alright as more people are introduced in this I am still not sure... let me know what you think
