“Who is this?” Vansh demanded as he threw a few photos on the floor. His face was livid, a vein standing out on his forehead, fists clenched at his side. Things were thrown across the room in a fit of rage, a broken brandy bottle shattered on the floor. The table turned upside down.

Aangre got a call from Vansh early morning. He sounded furious when he ordered Aangre to visit his room. He had an idea what this might be about but what he did not understand is why Vansh was angry? Yesterday when he handed him the file, he was calm and daresay very satisfied with the information received. Perplexed he looked at photos.

It was the photos of the girl Riddhima but she was not alone in it. Her friends were with her but that was not the only reason Aangre realized the cause. 

In these photos, Riddhima and her friends were standing in front of Pani Puri Thela. Riddhima and Nia were standing opposite each other while the guy Sahil was standing beside Riddhima his hand casually thrown on her shoulder in a friendly manner and both were laughing at their friend while she looked annoyed about something. He went through all the photos, they were all the same minus some variations, like Riddhima and guy looking at each other and laughing or both her friends held her hand each as they tried to pull her at different directions.

“Any reason why this was kept from me?” Vansh asked in the same tone. 

Vansh trusted Aangre a lot so when he saw these photos he was surprised and angry, to say the least. And who was this boy? Wasn’t she with that hawaldar? 

Aangre cursed himself how did he miss this? This must-have happened when he went for urgent work on the 3rd day after Vansh left and gave this work to one of his trusted team members. The man must have added these photos in the envelope and Aangre did not see the photos thinking there won’t be anything different. 

“I didn't know about this. I went for a meeting we discussed and gave this duty to Pasha. But there is nothing between them, I have cross-checked everything.” He continued quickly sensing Vansh’s mood

“His name is Sahil Basu. He is working as a junior psychology doctor. Joined Lifebeat hospital at the same time as Riddhima. He is friends with Riddhima and the other girl Nia.”

Hearing this Vansh calmed, he once again looked at photos, and frowned he did not like their closeness…

“He is no problem at all his father works for us. Mr Basu runs the business of manpower consultancy for blue-collared employees. He provides the extra cleaning staff for all our hotels on a contractual basis. We are his biggest client. I am sure he does not want to lose us. If you want, I can ask him to relocate on some pretext…”

“No need” Vansh cut him and smirked, “You never know he may be useful for us in near future.”

Vansh sat down on the single-seater sofa and rested his head at the back as he closed his eyes. Meanwhile, Aangre called the cleaning staff to clean the room.

No one dared to disturb Vansh as they cleaned the room and left quietly. Aangre was waiting to hear the next order he was sure this was not finished yet.

After almost 20 minutes of silence, Vansh started again.“I think we have achieved quite a lot in the Hotel industry, our business is growing at a rapid speed now”

“yes” Angre replied unsure about where this was heading, weren’t they discussing Riddhima? And suddenly business? But he knew better than to say anything he was used to Vansh’s eccentric behaviour.

“I think we need to try something new. What do you think?” he asked Aangre and then without waiting for his reply continued “How about we invest in the healthcare industry? I mean whatever happens Healthcare industry will always keep booming. I have got the news that Lifebeat’s owner is looking for investors to open a new high-tech hospital which is supposed to resemble a top-notch New York hospital? Let them know I am interested in this project and ready to invest but first I would like to listen to their plans. Set up a meeting with them.”

Aangre smiled understanding Vansh’s plan. “I will update you in an hour” He nodded his head and left leaving Vansh to plan his next move…

This is the height of delay, Riddhima could not understand how but she always reached late on Monday. One would think after much-needed rest of the weekend anyone would be energetic to start a week. But obviously, the case was opposite at least where she was concerned. She quickly packed her lunch, informed Sejal and left. God she sometimes envied Sejal. Her Shift was 12-9 whereas her work started at 8.30 AM. She quickly booked the cab there was no point in waiting for the bus considering the traffic she was dead sure she will reach at least a 20-30 min late. Many times, Nia offered her that they can go together in the morning as well, but she didn’t want to impose on her. Nia’s work started at 9 she can afford to leave little late, but only for her, she was ready to leave early….

Kabir packed his bags, His case was almost solved, just some formalities were pending which will be completed in a day or two. He could not wait to meet Riddhima. He called her on Sunday evening, but they could not speak much as she was at Nia’s place, they planned to watch some horror movie. What disturbed him was that Sahil was with her again. Them not her he corrected himself, he was never alone with her. it was always the three of them. Though he was quite sure that there was nothing between them, still she was very comfortable and free with Sahil. It made him insecure. She did not share that kind of comfort with him there was always a little awkwardness present which he planned to change in near future….

They were having lunch in the canteen when Nia informed them that she has a meeting today for half an hour with her department head.

“How strange even our department head has set up a meeting today, it is for the complete psychology department, and attendance is compulsory.” Replied Sahil.

“What about you Riddz? Did Dr Batra informed anything about meeting?” Nia asked her.

“Yeah, I was going to ask you about it, and from what I have heard each and every HOD have held meetings today with respective departments,” Riddhima answered.

“What do you think is the reason for this?” Nia looked at them.

“Well if I am not wrong usually this kind of thing happens if there is a top-level management change. I am not sure, but I am speaking purely from a business point of view I can be wrong.” Sahil told the girls

“What do you mean and what if management changes will they change the staff too?”Riddhima tensed just when she thought everything was working out financially this had to happen.

“Of course, not Riddz, this idiot does not know anything. And even if there is any change in management, it won’t affect us, Hospital confirmed our job just a few months back after looking at our merit and work, there is no need to get all worried” Nia consoled Riddhima as she narrowed her eyes at Sahil.

Sahil bit his tongue. He was aware of her financial problems. It was not his intention to worry her so to salvage the situation he said “Yes, no one remove doctor’s silly this usually affects external staff.”

Riddhima calmed a little hearing this but now her worry will leave her only when she knows the reason for this meeting…

Chanchal was restless a while ago Aangre informed all of them that from tomorrow onwards Sia’s doctor is changing on Vansh’s order. Everyone tried to know the reason behind this, but he did not divulge anything.

At last, when Chandrika Ma asked him the reason, he told them Vansh is making an investment in the healthcare sector starting with Lifebeat hospital and Vansh wants those doctors to treat Sia from now on.

He was starting a new business venture and her husband was not aware of it. No surprises there as Vansh liked to handle things alone. At first, she was surprised, even though her husband cheated and left them during their bad period still he allowed them to re-enter his home without punishment. Later, she understood it was not because he was merciful. No by letting them come back he made sure to punish them in his unique way. They have luxuries but only which Vansh allowed them. He let Rudra handle some small projects, but the relation was more like servant and boss. Vansh made sure to keep them away from what they wanted the most be it involvement any important project or their son's involvement in the business. They can’t leave the house now; they were too used to this lifestyle and Vansh made sure that they won’t have anything left for them outside of this mention. Rudra was making efforts to involve Aaryanin business but Vansh…

It was high time now when will involve Aaryan in his business? Or will he ever?

Riddhima was shocked. They finished meeting a while ago where Dr Batra informed them all that Vansh Rai Singhania was investing in this hospital as well as was funding new high-tech hospital project. With this move, Vansh Rai Singhania will practically own the major shares of this hospital.

That was not the reason for her worry what shocked her more was that she needs to visit his home with Dr Batra tomorrow.

Everyone was shocked at that and why not there were around 15 physiotherapists present there. All of them were working there before she joined and have more experience than her. She was relatively new here.

Apparently, Vansh has a sister named Sia who could not walk, and he wants Lifebeat doctors to treat her. She tried to remember if Sejal ever informed about his sister, but as far as Sejal was concerned it was always VRS this and that.

When everyone left the meeting she stayed back to ask if Dr Batra could take someone else and what he said left her astonished. He informed her that Vansh himself chose her to look after his sister. He thinks his sister will feel more comfortable around you and we can’t deny our new boss, now can we? He tried to joke.

But seeing the panicked look on her face he informed, she is not the only one to get picked he has picked more 2-3 set of doctors from a different department who will visit his house for various reasons like monthly health check-up, diet and all. It is just that we will visit his house more frequently than others. 

All HOD's had met this morning with Dean and discussed this, there is also the theory that maybe he wants to monitor our hospital doctors and the environment. And this is expected considering he is making major investments here. Riddhima felt relieved at that so she was not the only one to get picked there are others. She hoped at least Nia or Sahil is one of them to get picked.

“Riddhima” Dr Batra called her from behind as she was leaving, report to the hospital tomorrow and we will leave to visit his house in the afternoon around 2.

“Okay” She nodded her head.

“Let's see what the man expects from us”

Riddhima left thinking about Sejal’s reaction after listening to this….
