Chapter Two

Taani is just about to leave when she remembers that she has forgotten something and rushes back into her room. "Awee baby I'm sorry ki mein tumhe yahi bhool gayi" saying this she grabs her cell phone and as soon as she picks it up it starts ringing.

"Hey dad" she answered.

"Flight will take off in a few minutes, just bye bolne phone kiya." answered her dad.

"Dad ab mein bachchi nahi hoon. Mein apna khayal rakh sakti hun. Please don't worry about me." Said Taani.

"For the first time tum humse alag rehne wali ho and that too in a place which you hardly know, chinta toh hogi hi na tumhari" said her dad.

"Dad please senti mat ho jao, it doesn't suit you. Aur rahi baat meri Mumbai aake rehne ki toh it was my decision, mujhe yaha apni education complete karni hai." said Taani.

"Okay no more senti talks. Now I'll hang up. Time to board the plane. Bye sweetheart." said her dad.

"Bye dad. Will miss you." saying this she hangs up and leaves.

"Mein kuch puch sakta hu?" asked Rey.

"No." said Swayam.

"Thank you." Rey smirked and continued, "Hum college itne jaldi kyun jaa rahe hai?"

"I too wanted to know the same thing" said Sharon.

"Aaj college ka first day hai, and being the GS mujhe sab new students ke admission and other things ko check karna hai. Sir told me to handle everything. And you two are going to help me." answered Swayam.

"NO!" both Rey and Sharon said together.

"Yes." corrected Swayam.

"Listen dude hum cultural department ke heads hai, so you are going to do your own work. Don't you dare count us in." said Rey.

"College abhi re-open hua hai, and cultural department has no work as of now. So you guys will help." said Swayam.

"No we won't. Ask help from your AGS." snapped Rey.

"He left the college. So ab saari duties mere upar hai. Isiliye help maang raha hun" says Swayam and makes a sad face.

"We'll help you!" says Sharon melting by his looks.

"Sharon tum pagal ho gayi ho kya! Tumhe seriously yeh boring sa kaam karna hai? You really want to welcome these new student?" asks Rey and something clicks in his mind, "Actually its not a bad idea! Swayam we'll help you."

"Rey don't you even think of ragging the new students!" warned Swayam.

"Swayam, kaisa bhai hai tu, mein yaha teri help karne ke liye ready hua hoon aur tu.. I didn't expect this from you." says Rey in a full nautanki style.

"Bas bas, apni nautanki band kar." said Swayam.

"Rey, whats cooking?" whispers Sharon.

"Have patience beautiful, tumhe jald hi samajh aa jayega." whispers Rey and gives a naughty smile.

The trio reaches college. Swayam heads toward the Principal's office to take some files. Rey is in his thought process and is smiling naughtily. Sharon sees him like this and understands that he is up to something.

"Rey, tum bataoge bhi ya nahi?" asks Sharon.

"Bata raha hoon meri maa" answers Rey a bit irritated.

"Rey!" Sharon gives him a threatening  glance.

"Alright alright now listen. I'm thinking ki yeh jo naye students aayenge unhe thodi college ki sair kawate hai!" says Rey and smiles thinking about his plan.

"What are you saying Rey? And let me remind you 'Ragging' has been banned!" said Sharon.

"Swayam ke saath rehke tumpe bohot bura asar hua hai! Hum students ko rag nahi karenge bas confuse karenge" saying this Rey winks at her.

"Nice plan. But its only the two of us." Says Sharon after understanding what he meant.

"You're wrong! We have the whole college." says Rey.

"Tumhe lagta hai sab humari help karenge?" asked Sharon.

"Why not! After all unka CS unse yeh sab kahega!" saying this Rey pulls up his collar.

"Hey Rey, tumne hum sab ko bulaya?" asks a girl who has come with a huge bundle of people.

"Hi, umm??" says Rey.

"Shanaya" she answers.

"Hi Shanaya. Yes meine hi tum sabko bulaya. I'm glad you managed to get so many people. Okay guys so heres the plan. College mein jitne bhi newbies aayenge aur tumse auditorium ka direction puchenge, unn sab ko galat direction batana hai. These are a bit lucky people, ragging se bach gaye, but inka swagat toh hum kar hi sakte hai na?" says Rey.

"And one more thing guys, Swayam ko iss bare mein kuch bhi pata nahi chalna chahiye!" warns Sharon.

All of them disperse. Sharon goes in the auditorium to meet Swayam. While Shanaya sticks by Rey's side and follows him everywhere. The newbies enter one by one in the college and none of them reach the auditorium. Thirty minutes pass and Swayam starts feeling something fishy.

"Sharon sachchi batao kahin Rey ne koi plan toh nahi banaya hai na?" asks Swayam.

"Plan? Kaisa plan? No Swayam koi plan van nahi hai." stammers Sharon.

Swayam understands from her tone that Rey is up to something and like always she is protecting him. He calls Rey. "Rey tu jo bhi kar raha hai band kar! I want the students in the auditorium right now!"

"Sharon aur thodi der chup nahi reh sakti thi kya!" Rey frowns and continues, "They are on their way."

Rey goes in the atrium and shows the confused students the way to auditorium.

"What happened Rey? Suddenly plan off kiya?" asks Shanaya.

"Swayam ko pata chal gaya." says Rey a bit disappointed.

After about fifteen minutes or so Swayam's work is done and he goes to the canteen along with Sharon. Taani reaches the college.

"Oh God this traffic! Kitni late ho gayi mein. Chal Taani bhaag." And she rushes inside the college.

The moment she comes in the atrium she spots Rey with Shanaya. Shanaya was stuck to Rey since morning and he was fed up by now. Still he is talking very sweetly to her. Taani sees them talking sweetly and assumes them to be a couple. For a while she keeps adoring at them then it strikes to her that she has to collect her ID from the auditorium and asks for the way to auditorium.

"Excuse me where is the auditorium. I have to collect my ID" she asks a girl.

"The auditorium is this way, but waha pe koi nai milega tumhe. Everyone just left. Look out for the GS. He'll help you." replied the girl.

"Thank you. Tumhe pata hai ki GS iss waqt kaha ho sakta hai?"asked Taani.

"Check in the canteen. Waha ho sakta hai." She replies.

Taani thanks her and heads towards the canteen. When she reaches the canteen she spots Swayam and Sharon sitting next to each other hand-in-hand. "Kitne cute lag rahe hai dono! Wait a minute iss ladke ko kahi dekha hua lag raha hai" she thinks and remembers that she just saw him downstairs with another girl. "He's such a cheat. I must go and warn her. Poor girl usse toh pata bhi nahi hoga" thinking this she storms inside the canteen.

"You're such a cheat. Aur kitne ladkiyon ke saath tum pyaar ka natak kar rahe ho? Such a disgrace!" Taani shouts at Swayam.

Swayam and Sharon are surprised by this sudden act of her and stand there dumb-founded.

"Aise ghoor kya rahe ho?" shouts Taani again and brings them back to their senses.

"Hey watch your tongue before you speak!" said Sharon.

"Sharon calm dowm please. And tum yeh kya bol rahi ho?" asks Swayam.

"Oh! Toh tumhe nahi pata ki mein kya bol rahi hu?" said Taani.

"No" said Swayam.

"Thodi der pehle tum neeche kisi aur ke saath flirt kar rahe the fir yaha iske saath aise couple ki tarah baithe ho, aur mujhe puch rahe ho ki mein kya bol rahi hu! T-shirt and hairstyle change karke you don't become someone else!" said Taani.

It clicks in Swayam's mind what she meant. He understood that she spotted Rey flirting with someone downstairs and she is assuming him to be Rey.

"Tumhe nai lagta ki tum kuch jyada hi bol rahi ho?" said Sharon.

Everyone in the atrium was running upstairs to see the fight that was going on in the canteen.

"Sab log upar kyu bhaag rahe hai?" Rey asks a boy who was running.

"Canteen mein koi ladki Swayam pe chilla rahi hai" saying this he runs upstairs.

Rey gets angry. He doesn't know whats going on upstairs, but is sure that Swayam can't be wrong. He too rushes up and sees that a girl is accusing Swayam.

"Mein tumhe iski sachayi bata rahi hu aur tum ho ki sunn hi nai rahi" says Taani to Sharon.

"Listen tumhe koi galath fehmi hui hai" Swayam tries to explain Taani.

"Mujhe koi galath fehmi nahi huyi hai!" Taani snaps at him.

"You are nobody to accuse him, understand!" Rey, who is hell angry hearing Taani, shouts from the canteen entrance.

Taani turns around and is shocked to see Rey standing there.

"Tum apne aap ko samajhti kaun ho? Swayam tumhe kuch keh nahi raha yeh uski atchayi hai, iska matlab yeh nahi hota ki you accuse him! Get that?" shouts Rey.

"Vo actually mein.." Taani tries to speak.

"SHUT UP!" Rey snaps at her.
