Chapter 14

CHAPTER 13:

Next day they had a case and all were out in the field. It was Ridhi's first experience out there. She had a protective cover of her brothers all the time. She felt that she was hindering their work. so she moved to Shree saying that she would help him. He was so excited. "so you really want to help me right?" he was so happy. "ha.. Shree. Aur mein un logon se dur rehna chahthe. Don't want to trouble them. I hope you understand." 

"ya sure' I understand.." she saw a bit dissappoinment in his face. "hey.. its not that I don't want to be with you.. you are a great friend.. aur ha.. manna padega.. you are really good at your work.." she winked. It made  his day.

The work was over. "ok aao Ridhi' come with me'lets go.." Arjun called her.

Riya was a bit disappointed. Its not that she didn't like her. Ever since she came, Arjun was more relaxed. He saw a new face in him. But she wished to see that face of him towards her too. He adored his sis. She felt if he could understand her too.

Ridhi observed Riya's sudden gloomy face. She knew it. 

"nahi bhai'aaj mein Sameer bhai ke saath chalthe hai.. aur Shree se kuch kaam bhi hai.." Shree raised eyebrows. Arjun and Riya were confused. "ab ise kya hua?" Arjun couldn't understand.

Shree looked enquiringly at her. she looked at him and nodded at Riya and Arjun's direction. He was still confused. Then he got it.. he smiled slowly.. "ab kuch samjhe ya samjaoo.. budhu'"

None other than Shree, Ridhi and Chotu knew this plan. "ok then chalo.. pure din yaha nahi rukh sakthe hum'" Sameer ordered. "yes sir.." she said to him. While walking back to his SUV she said to Chotu and Shree "yaar tumhare boss tho kaafi khadoos hai.. thank god ke mein inke saath  hamesha kaam nahi kar rahe hai.. only 1 more day'". Shree was upset.

Arjun's SUV:

Arjun was silent as usual. Riya was used to it. She was glad to be with him, even though he didn't say anything. "sir.. Ridhi kaafi achi hai field work mein. I think she is liking this work. Maybe she will be a great officer one day.." Arjun was so proud of his sis. 

"ha Riya.. she will be.. after all she is my sis.." he gave his rare smile. She was so happy. "she is so lucky to have you all as her brothers sir.."

"lucky tho mein hu Riya.. jo ek anaadh ko ithne pyaar bhari family mile'" she was shocked. She never knew about it. She kept looking at him but didn't ask anything.

"apne rapid fire shuru kardo Riya.. warna tumhe saans lene me thakleef hogi.."

"no sir.. mujhe kuch nahi puuchna.. ithne mahine me, mein ithna tho seekha hai ki kisike personal life mein interfere nahi karna chahiye.."    he was happy.

"good'. Fir bhi agar sunna chaho tho sunlo.. ha mein ek anaadh tha' church ke paas Father John ko mila tha,  ek letter ke saath... ke mera naam Arjun Suryakaanth Rawte hai.. yahi meri wajood the.. padhayi mein ache the.. isiliye boarding mein bhej diya.. waha Raj aur Sam se mila.. mera pehla family.. fir Raj ke dada-dadi mujhe ghar le gaye.. unhone bohot pyaar diya mujhe..apne pariwar ka ek hissa banaya.. mujhe mere Ridhi mila..mere family.. mein bohot kush tha.. dadaji chahthe the ke mein Raj ke saath uska company sambhale.. par hum teen kuch aur hi plan kar rahe the.. hame police join karna tha.. aur unhone mana nahi kiya.. fir hum teen police training keliye chale gaye..

Yaha Mumbai me posting hua.. tho Ridhi bhi aagayi.. padhayi keliya.. iske beech mein usse mila'" she knew to whom the reference was going to. But she didn't stop him. It was the first time, that she was knowing him.

"Roshni ek school teacher thi.. bachonke saath bohot comfortable the wo.. ek case mein uske students ko bachaya tha meine..thab mila tha.. aur friendship huyi.. fir shaadi.." his voice cracked a bit.. "fir ek din wo chali gayi.. aur mein kuch nahi kar paaya.." he felt so lonely. She was so keenly looking on to his face. He woke up. "sorry.. boring story right?"

"nahi sir not at all.. thanks for sharing with me'" she was so happy.

"par sir.. kya aap kabhi bhi'I mean' apne asli family ke bare mein patha karne ke koshish nahi kiya?"

"yahi mere asli family hai Riya.. agar nahi tho wo log mujhe chod ke nahi jathe.. ab yahi mere pariwar hai.." he was silent again.. "aur waise bhi..rishtey hamesha khoon se hi nahi hote.. dil ss bhi hote hai.." he was speaking out his heart..

"aap sahi keh rahi hai sir.. dil se bohot saari rishtey ban sakthi hai.." she was looking directly into his eyes.. "bas.. kisiko uss dil ke paas thak aane ke deri hai.."now he was looking at her.

"aise math sochna ke meine mere dil ke paas 'no entry' board rakha hai.. bas thode fikar hai ki koi fir se waha aake chala na jaaye'" he had a small smile, with a gloominess in his eyes.

"nahi jaayega sir.. kyunki'"he was keenly looking at her.. "kyunki kya Riya'?" Miss. Statistics couldn't find her words..

"kyunki' jisse waha thak aane ke himmath ho, usse waha rehne ka bhi hoga na'"she winked at him. "hm'." He smiled back.

"aapko nahi patha sir.. waha thak pohonchne wali bohot khush naseeb hi hogi.. jo aapke pyaar ke kaabil ho.. kash mujhe bhi waha thode jagah milthe' I promise mien aapko kabhi nahi chodke jaungi'" her heart said.

 they reached back the office. She was about to get down. "thanks.. for listening me.. I really mean it'" he looked at her and went to the office. She was so happy. After a while she followed him.
