Chapter 7

CHAPTER SEVEN

 

 

Riya opened her eyes slowly and tried looking here and there, her vision was a bit blurry so she blinked vigorously and saw Arjun sleeping sitting besides her, holding her hand in his. She then looked at the room and found Rathore Shree and Chotu too sleeping soundly on the sofas. She smiled seeing their caring faces; yes they looked caring even in the sleep. Arjun felt something and woke up; he too looked at Riya and came in his full attention.

 

"Riya! You okay? You fine? How are you feeling? Is it paining!?" Riya smiled again seeing the care dripping out of his eyes.

 

"Sir, I am fine, I am fine." She said whispering to him, indicating towards others who were sleeping.

 

"Is it paining?" asked Arjun indicating her hand, which was still in his and left it abruptly.

 

Riya smirked at his shyness of holding her hand and held his again. Arjun looked at her and snatched his hand away and left the room.

A week later.

 

 

Rathore held Salil by his upper arm and dragged him in the ETF's interrogating room. There was Arjun, already waiting for his prey. He was folding his hands on his chest and was looking at Salil dangerously. Salil gulped and sat on the wooden chair and saw towards Rathore but found him already gone and closing the door. Salil got hyper and ran towards the door and knocked urgently.

 

"Open! Open the door! OPEN!!" he tried twisting the doorknob but it didn't open the door. "You can't leave me here with him! All alone! DAD!!" harish heard his son's pleas but Chotu stood in front of him like a rock and didn't let him budge.

 

Arjun smirked inwardly seeing the poor soul already distressed and he was now going to make him pay, pay for hurting Riya. Due to him, Riya had her left hand and right leg fractured. He himself didn't knew why but it angered him every time he saw her struggling to hold the pen as she was a left handed person and the slight limp in her walk even after a week made his heart bleed every time he saw her.

 

Thinking of her made Arjun even angrier with the person in front of him. Arjun didn't know how he did but he controlled himself way much longer than he expected himself to, but no more. He took out the white gloves from his pockets and wore them on his hands, usually they were useful to inspect the crime scene but today they would serve in some other way. Arjun walked towards him and held his left hand and twisted it behind, Salil let out a helpless cry and that soothed him a bit.

 

Arjun threw Salil down and stepped on his right knee mercilessly, making sure he would limp all his life now. He could have handled if he just tried to force Riya to accept his love but he tried forcing HIMSELF on her! And that was way too much. Arjun now looked at the poor soul and he desperately wanted to crush that face of his but he knew he couldn't, not because he bound by law, but because he was bound by Riya.

 

 

~~Flashback~~

 

 

As soon as Arjun left her hand in the hospital room, Riya felt empty, it was as if her hand was incomplete without his. She looked at the lines and fingers of her hands and could still feel a tingling sensation where his hand touched hers. She couldn't handle this anymore, not after his half confession. She tried getting up without making any noise coz Rathore Shree and Chotu still slept soundly in the same room and limped towards the door slowly. She opened the door stealthily to see Arjun sitting just outside the room, he thought Riya was weak enough and wont come back following but as always, he was again wrong about her. She came.

 

Riya now knew she was the soft spot Arjun had and tried getting the unfair advantage by making fake noises of getting hurt and Arjun looked at the door, and saw Riya standing there, managing her way towards him, he quickly got up and gave her the same hand he snatched a minute away from her. Riya smiled and took it. He made her walk slowly and she sat where Arjun was sitting a minute ago.

 

"Riya! Are you gone mad! Why are you walking when you know your foot is fractured! Want to harm yourself! Huh? If you want, let me break it at once! And problem solved!" Arjun said dramatically, just like Riya and then closed his eyes in disappointment when he saw her smiling foolishly at him.

 

"Sir, I would be more than happy if YOU hurt me, coz we only hurt the people we love." said Riya casually but knew it had a big impact on him as he widened his eyes at the statement but then looked away.

 

"Riya this not right. I am married." Said Arjun.

 

"No, you were married, and I have no problems wit you getting married again, unless it's with Me." came Riya's bold reply and Arjun was shocked to see the girl who barely spoke to him, saying such big things. Riya looked at a shocked Arjun and said again, "sir, you know what, when Salil kidnapped me," Riya shivered thinking and Arjun clenched his hands, "I was not afraid or scared for myself, but for you, what will happen to you if I die!?" Riya knew she needs to trigger his anger in order to make him say his true feelings and it did.

 

"You were NOT going to die!" said Arjun clenching his teeth.

 

"Really? I was, coz I would have killed myself if he did anything to me last night, if he as much as touched me. I would have, really." Riya confessed indirectly that only he was meant to touch her and knowing the way where the conversation was leading to, Arjun backed off. He tried to leave as he always did but Riya shrieked in pain and he stopped.

 

"Riya!?" he turned and held her hands.

 

"If you care for me so much, why don't you admit!" Riya asked giving up on making him confess.

 

"Because sometimes it's better to get disappointed than to get what you wished for." Said Arjun looking at her dark brown eyes and Riya looked at his deep black ones.

 

"I love you." Said Riya as casually as she could but couldn't stop the tears streaming down her face. Seeing the tears, he melted a bit but then he remembered that he had no right to love, so he hardened his heart and said, "I don't love you."

 

Riya couldn't stop crying but tried hard, "okay. You don't love me, so promise me. I want a promise." Riya said determined and Arjun nodded, if she is ready to sacrifice her love for a promise made by him, its okay for him too.

 

"You wont harm Salil." Riya said and smirked inwardly coz she saw him tightening his wrist even at his name.

 

"What!" Arjun couldn't comprehend what he heard and what he understood so he asked.

 

"Yes, you don't love me right? So you aren't affected if Salil treated me nicely or not. And I am aware you aren't going to spare him for misbehaving with me coz you love me! So you promise me not to touch him, not to kill him." Riya challenged and smirked. She knew Arjun. He won't be able to resist Salil in front of him and would end up beating him in anyway he could. "If you harm him, you will have to confess your true feelings. Agreed Mr. Arjun Rawte?" Riya said in full confidence and extended her hand to shake with his but knew he wont promise her, he swore to beat him, it reflected in his eyes when she took his name.

 

"I promise." Said Arjun and shook hands with her, "I wont touch him and I wont kill him." Said Arjun and smirked at her as he found a loophole in her promise.

 

"Okay." Said Riya disappointed and limped back to her bed.

 

Arjun kept smirking and looked at her back and mumbled to himself, "you asked me to not to touch him? Okay. I will wear my gloves while serving him my hospitality. And not to kill him, I am not sure but will try." Saying so he went out of the hospital.

Arjun saw the person in front of him and kicked him straight on his stomach. Salil cried in pain and harish who was outside the interrogating room, got hyper.

 

Arjun stretched the gloves in his hands and gave him few punches on all his body, not touching him, really. He then held him up by his collar and said near his face, "If I see you near Riya again, even if you are not aware of her being there, I will break my promise and will kill you that instant! I will kill you! And I mean it, no court-no law will be able to stop me!" saying so he pushed Salil away and he fell on the stretcher nearby.

 

Few minutes later Salil was bought out in a stretcher again. harish saw his bleeding foot and looked at Arjun accusingly.

 

Arjun came to harish and apologized fakely "umm, I am sorry about his foot, mr diwan, I accidentally stepped on it!" and smirked after that.

 

As he turned to leave he saw Riya! His eyes widened but she looked happy instead of angry. He broke the promise and she was happy? Then he remembered, "If you harm him, you will have to confess your true feelings. Agreed Mr. Arjun Rawte?" Arjun looked a bit uneasily at her and hoped that she won't remember the promise, coz Arjun can break anything- law, bones, rules but he cant break any promises.

 

"You touched him! You loose." Riya said and Arjun smirked. She didn't say harm, she said touch. And he harmed him, he didn't touch him. Oh my nave Riya. You are too innocent to be fooled. Thought Arjun and smirked.

 

Arjun had his hands on his back and smirked saying, "well, I never loose. The condition was not to touch him, and I didn't." said Arjun and showed her his hands that were covered with gloves, he showed her his hands as if showing his paws, in gesture of saying ten by his fingers and Riya gasped seeing the four if his fingers dipped in Salil's blood. She walked past him and saw Salil; he was all black-blue-red and purple. Riya smirked at the possessiveness of him and gave a tight slap to Salil on his face.

 

"Next time, do not even touch me! Or else I will ask Arjun to serve you with death!" said Riya on his face and Salil flinched.

 

Harish saw her and said, "I am so ashamed for your parents! What will happen to them if they came to know you are doing these things on their back!" said harish looking at Arjun and he again clenched his fists.

 

"Well they know about it! And my dad is so happy that he even said that I could marry whenever I want! Anything else you would like to remind me of?" said Riya with attitude and Arjun stared at her.

 

harish left with a huff and Arjun couldn't move for a second. Her words startled him to the core. She told her parents about them?! And that too when he didn't even confess his feelings! How can she do that! She proposed THEIR wedding to her parents even before asking HIM!!!

 

It was his turn to look at her accusingly and her turn to smirk.

Riya knew Arjun was staring at her back, she could feel his gaze on herself. She smirked inwardly and knew the reason too. He was nervous! He believed she really told her parents about them! Yes she lied but seeing the look on his face, she wished she really told her parents. And she was sure they wouldn't have any problems, they supported her in her dreams, and they would support her in this too. She looked the file in front of him, not reading it really and smiled when she saw Arjun getting up from he corner of her eyes and walk towards her.

 

"I want to talk to you!" said Arjun sternly and Riya refused.

 

"I am busy. I am working on my new case. Rathore sir said to find out info about the victim." Said Riya clutching the file as his masculine cologne was making it hard for her to breathe.

 

"I don't care about the damn case now, Riya!!" said Arjun impatiently.

 

"But I do! That's what I am here for!" said Riya fed up of his stern attitude towards her, cant he be a little polite and chivalrous towards her! Ever!

 

"I want to talk to you and that is IT!" said Arjun holding her hand and taking her away in his room.

 

"Sir! What are you doing!? We are in the office, incase you forgot to notice!" said Riya sarcastically and Arjun lost his cool.

 

"Why did you tell your parents about me! And what was all that drama about marriage!?" asked Arjun harshly.

 

Riya was silent for a second but then an idea clicked, "who said I was talking about you!?" Riya asked him back and Arjun was at the loss of words.

 

"I said I told my parents about 'it' and they want me to marry whenever I want. I didn't mention you in it." Said Riya lying to him on his face.

 

"You - " Arjun didn't know what to say and Riya saw her plan working; the jealousy was evident on his face.

 

"I am now over you. I mean I got over you. You rejected me every time and I am now moving on in my life." said Riya controlling her laugh tightly. Arjun would be the dumbest person on earth if he believed it. And he did.

 

"You are over me?" asked Arjun unknowingly.

 

"Yes!" said Riya extending her lie. She thought for a second and continued, "I – I – said yes to Shree when he proposed me last night. And he had no problem with me having a crush on you. But now he knows that I love him!" Riya made Shree a prey in front of him and Arjun looked exactly like a predator ready to shred his prey into pieces.

 

"You got over me in one night! I mean what do you mean!??" asked Arjun as he was hell confused. Till morning there was no sign of her being with Shree and now she is admitting it herself.

 

"Arjun sir," Riya sighed dramatically, "I was having a crush on you! I just realized it yesterday. I realized it that instant when Shree proposed me. He said he loved me and I think I did too. He was always there for me when I needed a friend and he always helped me, so maybe I didn't see him that way before but yesterday, he just made my day! He proposed me!" Riya jumped up and down like a teenager and clapped her hands, showing her excitement to him and Arjun clenched his fist, ready to blow Shree's head off.

 

"You said you loved me!" Arjun accused.

 

"Yes I did but you said you didn't. The end." Riya said casually but she knew her heart ached even when she said it playfully.

 

"You can't just end it like that!! Love does not end!" Arjun said charging towards her.

 

"But crush does! I said I had a crush!" said Riya making him mad.

 

Arjun pinned her to the wall, "Crush crush crush! Will you just shut up!"

 

"Make me!" Riya challenged and Arjun looked at her daring eyes. As Arjun came near her, his cologne made her senses go on fire, her mind reeled in the dream world and she couldn't think straight, Riya too was surprised at her words but his cologne was just not making her mind think. And then she saw him dipping his head in her direction. Riya gasped inside her mouth not able to open it and Arjun pecked her lips lightly and backed away. Riya smelled him for a second and felt at a loss when he backed away.

 

"Sir," Riya said closing her eyes and unconsciously submitting her to him. Arjun again pecked her lips but this time by open lips, making her lips wet. Riya again felt his smell near her and then again felt it loose.

 

She frowned and held his collars and pulled him close, Arjun was surprised at her gesture and widened his eyes when he saw what she did. She held him by his collar, pulled him towards herself and kissed him on the lips. He knew she was not in her senses.

 

Riya kissed him and Arjun lost himself in her soft and innocent kiss. She pecked him and placed her lips on his. Arjun couldn't hold anymore and responded. He held her from her waist and pulled her to him. Riya smiled a bit and let him dominate her, she loved it when he took charge of everything, whether be it a case or a kiss. He was a perfect dominator! She smiled at her thoughts and broke the kiss abruptly.

 

She loved the kiss, but she would love it more if he confessed his feelings, so she was about to use the worst weapon now.

 

"How dare you!? Haw!" she covered her lips and made a loud audible gasp. "What will Shree think if he found out!" the instant hurt was visible in his eyes. The precious moment was strangled in front of him and he couldn't do anything!

 

The name of another man in their private moment angered him to no bounds and he held Riya by her hair and kissed her fiercely, biting, sucking and punishing her to get over him so easily.  Riya tried struggling but she was sure, she wont be able to get him off. Arjun kissed her and didn't realize when his desires took over him again. He bit her lip and Riya moaned in pain, Arjun felt her pain but the hurt inside his heart was much more. He again sucked on her lower lip but before he could understand what happened to him, roshni's murder flashed through his eyes. He left Riya abruptly and her back hit the wall. Riya looked at him suspiciously but Arjun looked all guiltier. He looked here and there and said, "Riya, - I- I am sorry." And left.

 

Riya saw his eyes and this time she knew, she exceeded her limits. She shouldn't have provoked him like this, she shouldn't.

PRECAP: "Life is not a joke, Riya!" Arjun said angrily.

 

"But my life is! It's a joke for you, isn't it?" asked Riya breaking down, "whenever you want, you come near me, whenever you want, you go away! What am I?? A toy for you to play with when you are free? NO! Not any more! You realized how important Roshni was when she died, Maybe when I am dead you will realize my worth too, so I am going!" saying so Riya saw a truck coming on the road and jumped in front of the full speeded truck.

Now I have been listening to this thing, that Riya aka sana khan is leaving the show.

Chill everybody. 4lionsfilms didn't comment on anything related to this and the channel or sana herself didn't say anything like that. So please be patient. I know the current track of swallowing the ball of xzora II too states the same but you know, how dramatic it can turn out! Maybe our supercop would save her, you never know. Right?

 

So be hopeful and be positive.
