She stared down at the water beneath her feet, soft waves tickling the sole of her foot lightly, she felt lightheaded, dizzy and overwhelmed from everything that happened, so many feelings, so many endings and so many new beginnings.

For the first time in years, she found herself being able to let loose, to be able to bask in the glory of candied smiles and shy touches, she didn’t have to look behind, she could breathe freely, however it seemed overrated, she loved feeling restless. 

As she watched her boys gather around, laugh and joke with each other, a staggeringly intense emotion took over her being, she was content. After so long.
