As soon as he saw Vineet he was about to shriek.

"Shhhhhhhhhh" Vineet put his finger on his mouth.

"Missed me?" Vineet smirked and tried to read Samrat's expressions.

"dhokha...nahi..." Samrat said slowly and was about to shout and grab his neck but before he could do so, Vineet grabbed his hands and stared into his eyes:

Soon Samrat became calmer and Vineet loosened his grip on Samrat's hands.

He started staring onto the bed once again.

Vineet let go of his hands and scratched his head.

"Vineet is a very good doctor, aap log chinta mat kijiye," Virat put his hand on Bhavani's shoulder and assured Mansi with his eyes.

"Virat sahi keh raha hai. He knows his job. Don't worry," Patralekha added.

"Seeing the trust that you two have on him really makes us feel more at peace. Kyun Vahini?" Ninad looked at Bhavani and she nodded and smiled.

"Thoda badbola hai, par kaam aata hai use," Bhavani smiled and everyone looked at her shocked.

"Kya ho gaya? Tum log mujhe aise kyun ghoor rahe ho?" Bhavani looked at them confused.

"Nahi. Wo humein laga nahi tha na vahini ki aap Doctor Vineet ki itni tareef, prashansa, praise karengi." Sonali said trying to hide her shock.

"Kyun nahi karungi. Sahi kaam karega to kyun nahi karungi." Bhavani looked at her.

"Nahi, wo aayi ka matlab hai ki wo aap unse darti hai na..." Karishma closed her mouth with both hands as soon as these words came out of her mouth.

Sonali vehementaly shook her head in no.

Bhavani glared at her as everyone tried to suppress their smiles.

"Karishma." Bhavani looked at her angrily, "Khair chhod" Bhavani smiled as everyone looked at her shocked.

"Karishma, ye Kaku ne tumhe itni aasaani se kaise chhod diya?" Mohit whispered in her ears.

"Pata nahi baby."

"Hamara Samrat theek hone wala hai. Khandoba ki kripa hai. Aaj main kisi par bhi gussa karne ke mood mein nahi hu." Bhavani looked at Karishma.

"Abhi tak Vineet aaya nahi hai. Hamein abhi tak kuchh pata..." Omkar tried to argue but was cut short by Bhavani.

"Suna nahi tha tumne, I can save anyone," Bhavani mimicked Vineet, "kitne confidence ke saath kaha tha usne. Aur phir Patralekha aur Virat dono uski kabiliyat ke gavah hain. Mujhe poora bharosa hai wo badbola mulga hamare Samrat ko theek kar hi dega."

"Aap sahi keh rahi hain." Mansi smiled through her tears and everyone smiled in relief.

Just then, they saw Vineet  stepping down.

Everyone looked at his unusual demeanor and their smiles started fading.

They hadn't seen Vineet like this before, head bowed, shoulders stooping and a confused expression on his face.

They had become so used to his confident smile that it was getting difficult for them to recognise him with this confused expression.

"Kya hua," Mansi looked at him with fear in her eyes, " mera beta theek to...ho jayega na."

Vineet looked up in her eyes but couldn't say anything.

"Aap kuch bol kyun nahi rahe hain" Ashwini asked as Mansi panicked but Vineet grabbed her shoulders and nodded.

"Doctor, thodi der pehle tak jo tumhari akad thi muhe wahi dekhni hai," Bhavani looked at him almost threatening but her voice betrayed her inner fear.

He looked up at her and then his gaze fell on Virat.

He stopped listening to everyone else as his feet automatically moved toward Virat.

They looked at him confused.

As the distance between them was reducing, Chahvan Niwas people's eyes were widening.

They looked at Sai who was looking at them unfazed.

Vineet reached near Virat who was equally confused.

He moved around Virat watching him from head to toe. Then he came and stood in front of him. His face inches apart from Virat's. Virat adjusted his collar and looked here and there.

"Aye...aye doctor..." Bhavani stammered unable to speak anything.

Vineet's eyes lit up and he cupped Virat's face.Ashwini and Sonali closed their mouths with their hands while others' mouths opened in shock.

"Got it. Got it." Vineet shouted and everyone looked at him in horror.

Virat tried to understand but before he could say anything, Vineet moved his hands away from his face and grabbed his hand, " We need to talk. In private." He didn't give anybody a chance to respond and started dragging him away. But before reaching the stairs, he stopped and looked back with his usual stern face, "Nobody. I repeat. Nobody will disturb us."

Virat looked back at Sai who was looking at their hands.

Virat took a few steps back as soon as they reached the balcony.

"Mr Chahvan. Try to remember your first meet with Samrat in the asylum.

Virat narrowed his eyes, "Umm...I saw two men speaking about..."

"...I know all that. Tell me all the details about your meet with Samrat. Tell me everything. every little thing you remember."

"It was a lightly lit room. There was a bed in the room. when I saw him, he was scribbling something on the wall. His back was on me. Then he looked back at me. Initially he didn't recognise me but when he did, he smiled and called me towards him. And when I reached near him, he...grabbed my neck."

"Did he ever do this to you again?"

"No" Virat said trying to understand what he was implying.

"Karishma" Vineet called out making Virat confused.

Karishma who was lurking around trying to hear their conversation was startled and was about to leave.

"Karishma, Patralekha ko bhej do." Vineet turned and looked straight at her, "And. You didn't hear anything here. Right?"

She nodded sheepishly and left.

Patralekha came a few minutes later.

Before Patralekha and Virat could say anything, Vineet asked, "Why do you want to help Samrat?"

They looked at him confused.

"Seriously tell me. To ease your guilt?"

"I don't have a guilt anymore. But I will do anything to help the man I have wronged." Patralekha said without hesitation.

Vineet looked at Virat.

"I want my brother to be fine. That's it." Virat too was calm.

"Good." Vineet continued, "Because mujhe nahi lagta ki Samrat ki iss haalat ke zimmedar tum dono ho."
