"Main sirf pariwar ka bhala chahti hu. Aur Samrat ka bhi."

"Really?"

Patralekha looked up and saw Samrat standing there with crossed arms.

Patralekha stood up.

"A...Aap"

"Kya hua Patralekha mujhe dekhkar khushi nahi hui?"

"Aap theek hai?"

"Kyun, tum nahi chahti ki main theek rahu?"

"Aisa..."

Samrat moved forward and Patralekha stumbled back.

"Ai..aisa...aisa kuch nahi hai" Patralekha fell down on her bed as Samrat didn't stop moving. 

Patralekha closed her eyes in horror and suddenly her eyes popped open as she felt one strong hand on her neck.

"Sa...mm..." Patralekha couldn't utter a word as she struggled to free herself.

After enjoying her plight for a while he left her neck and started laughing in her face. Then he stopped laughing suddenly.

"Tumne mere saath theek nahi kiya Patralekha, main tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karunga... Aur ha..agar ye baat kisi ko batayi to agli baar.." Samrat extended his hand towards her neck and Patralekha closed her eyes in horror again. She heard him chuckle. She opened her eyes after a few moments and found him gone.

For a few moments Patralekha was too dumbfounded to speak anything. Then she tried to open her mouth and no word came out. She used all her might and screamed. As loud as she could.

Mansi's sleep broke as she heard the scream. She rubbed her eyes and realised that she had slept at Samrat's doorstep itself. She immediately got up and found him sleeping peacefully. She heaved a sigh of relief and then saw family members rushing towards Patralekha's room.

"Hua kya hai Patralekha. Tum kuch bol kyun nahi rahi ho?" Bhavani asked with concern.

The whole family had gathered in her room.

Patralekha opened her mouth

agar ye baat kisi ko batayi to agli baar...

Patralekha shivered. She tried to calm herself down.

"Kya hua hai Pakhi?" Virat asked her.

"Kuchh nahi badi mami." Patralekha looked at Bhavani. "Wo maine ek... Maine ek bahut bura Sapna dekha tha."

They all heaved a sigh of relief.

Bhavani smiled, "tumne to hum sab ko dara hi diya tha."

Patralekha gave a pale smile.

They all started coming out of her room. Sonali and Karishma rolled their eyes. Virat was the last one to come out but he suddenly realised something and turned towards her.

Patralekha closed the door in his face as he was about to speak.

He slowly walked towards Samrat's room and found him still sleeping peacefully. Mansi was sitting on his bedside now caressing his head.

He went inside and controlled himself as his eyes started to tear up as soon as he saw his Jeeva.

He looked at Mansi, "Samrat theek to hai? Aap kahin thodi der ke liye use akela chhod ke to nahin gayi thi?"

"Gayi thi na, wo jab Patralekha ke cheekhne ki aawaz ayi thi. But you don't worry. Tera bhai aaraam se so raha hai." Mansi smiled.

Samrat to yahin tha

Virat smiled in relief.

"Aap bhi thoda aaraam kar lijiye, Mansi Bua." Virat said.

"Are main to aaraam hi kar rahi thi. I mean mujhe to yahan darwaze pe baithe baithe hi neend aa gayi thi."

Virat's smile vanished.

"Kya hua Virat?"

"...Kuchh nahi, Bua. Good night." Virat gave a fake smile and left.

"Pata nahi ye sab Kab theek hoga?" Ninad rubbed his forehead.

"Sab theek ho jayega Dada," Omkar kept his hand on Ninad's shoulder, "waise pata nahi ye Samrat har waqt Dhokha.. Nahi.. Dhokha.. Nahi.. Kya karta rehta hai. Kis dhokhe ki baat kar raha hai wo?"

Patralekha felt uneasy and it didn't go unnoticed from Virat.

"Main Samrat ke liye khana lekar jati hu" Mansi was about to get up.

"Tum khana khao Mansi. Tum raat bhar soyi bhi nahi. Khana khakar apne kamre mein jakar aaraam karo. Samrat ka dhyan rakhne ke liye bhi to tumhare shareer mein jaan honi chahiye," Bhavani stopped Mansi from getting up.

"Karishma, Samrat ko khana dekar aao" Bhavani told Karishma.

"Kaku, main?" Karishma hesitated.

"Main bhi kis se umeed kar rahi hun... Patralekha, tum Samrat ko khana de aao."

"Badi mami, main?"

Everyone looked at her.

"Main de aati hu" Sai said.

"Tum?" Patralekha looked at Sai.

"Ha. Hamesha aap mere pati ko khana khilati hain. Aaj main aapke pati ko khana khila deti hun." Sai said humorously.

Sonali and Karishma chuckled as Bhavani gave them a death stare.

Before Sai could pick up the plate.

"Main khila dunga" Virat took the plate in his hands.

JEEVAA SHIVAA JEEVAA SHIVAA...

Everyone looked towards Samrat's room.

"Samrat" Virat moved ahead but Ashwini grabbed his hand.

"Chaliye na, sab chalke dekhte hain, kya hua." Ashwini looked around.

Everyone reached Samrat's room. Patralekha stood far behind them. 

He didn't speak anything. He simply looked down.

As soon as he saw Virat, he became happy and grabbed the plate from him. And everyone realized that he was hungry.

They all smiled and left the brothers alone.

Virat felt happy as he saw Samrat eating happily.

A few moments later

"Samrat, ek baat poochun?"

Samrat kept eating.

"Kya tum kal Pakhi ke kamre mein gaye the?"

Virat looked at him curiously as Samrat kept eating.

The whole day spent in conversation about Samrat. Now everyone had returned to their rooms. Patralekha tried to get some solace in balcony.

A cool night breeze touched her face and she closed her eyes in relief.

"Patralekha?"

Patralekha trembled and slowly turned.

"Tum is raat mein bahut khoobsoorat lag rahi ho. Bilkul uss din ki tarah jis din main tumhe pehli baar dekhne aaya tha." Samrat said as he moved forward, "kise pata tha ki is khoobsurat chehre ke peeche ka chehra itna ghinauna hai" Patralekha froze in fear.

"Arey, darr kyun rahi ho. Pati hu tumhara. Bhale hi tumhe mere bajaye mere bhai mein dilchaspi ho."

The disgust in his words made Patralekha tear up.

"arey, arey ye aansoo?" Samrat extended his hand to wipe her tears.

Patralekha closed her eyes and started moving back.

"Chale Jao..chale jao... Maine kuch nahi kiya... Maine koi dhokha nahi diya... Mujhe akela chhod do..." Patralekha muttered as she stumbled back and her legs hit the railing of the balcony but a hand grabbed her waist in time.
